Chapter 87 She Is Finally Getting Better
Chapter 87 She Is Finally Getting Better
When he went back to the hospital, it was nightfall. Hanna felt so sleepy, so she lay down beside
Adelaide to take a nap. Antonio happened to walk in.
"Thank you so much."
Antonio had never said these words to anyone before. So when Hanna heard that he said thanks, she
was so shocked and immediately woke up. In her eyes, except that the man was good-looking, he was
extremely arrogant and had no expressions. Hanna couldn’t find any his advantages except for his
good-looking appearance.
Hanna had never heard him say thanks before. Perhaps for him, others should work hard for him, just
like that stupid woman had been giving silently.
After a while, Hanna smiled awkwardly, as if to relieve the atmosphere, "Never mind. I’m her best
friend. Let me change another clothes for Adelaide. She has worn this hospital gown for several days."
After saying that, she took the small bag from Antonio's hand. She opened it and picked out a white
dress from the inside, then showed it to Adelaide, "Does it look good?"
Calvin said that what they had to do now was doing their best to talk to Adelaide. As long as Adelaide
had a little reaction, it was considered successful. But these days except for Calvin, Adelaide still had
not communicated with anyone.
As expected, what answered to Hanna was still empty gaze. Adelaide’s soul seemed to be gone. She
didn't cry or laugh or speak. This kind of silence was even more frightening.
The two tried to hold back their tears. Hanna smiled and then held Adelaide to the bathroom. Adelaide
was instantly stunning like a fairy after she put on the white dress. If there was still smile in her eyes as
before, it would be more perfect.
It was rare for the three to chat together. Antonio usually didn't say much. It was also difficult for him to
chatter all of a sudden. The heavy task to make the conversation go on naturally fell on Hanna. She
deliberately said something about their college life which would make Adelaide feel embarrassed. They
found out that Adelaide would blush and would lower her head shyly when she heard those things,
which showed that she was listening to their conversation.
The hard work for several days had finally paid off. Finally, Hanna could have a good sleep tonight.
The first ray of sunlight in the morning spilled into the room. Antonio helped Adelaide change clothes.
Soon, Hanna came in with the breakfast.
Last night's progress made Hanna ecstatic. She thought that she had to talk to Adelaide more today
and made Adelaide react more. Hanna gave Antonio the breakfast. Then she fed Adelaide.
After breakfast, Antonio and Hanna helped Adelaide massage and waited for Calvin's arrival.
The three enjoyed the warmth brought by the sun comfortably. Calvin came to the ward on time. When
he saw Adelaide put on a beautiful new dress, he smiled brightly. He praised Adelaide, "Adelaide is so
pretty today! In the white dress, you look like a fairy!"
Hearing this, Adelaide lowered her head and blushed. Calvin was overjoyed. He put down his
backpack and walked to the window to talk to her. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Of course it was only Calvin who was talking. Adelaide would react with nodding or shaking her head or
frowning. Antonio was both happy and disappointed. What made him happy was that Adelaide could
make so many reactions and expressions without the help of hypnosis. What made him disappointed
was that these reactions had nothing to do with him.
"Congratulations, Mr. Antonio, your wife is getting better little by little." Calvin’s smile was brighter than
Antonio's face. It was his greatest wish to challenge and treat more mentally-ill patients. There was
nothing to make him feel more fulfilled than watching the patients who were treated by himself got
better day by day.
Antonio knew that Calvin's physiotherapy worked. He stretched out his hand to shake Calvin's hand,
"Thank you!" Then, he bowed. Antonio thanked this man who brought Adelaide back to life form his
heart.
Calvin shook his head and said with a smile, "It's my duty to treat the patient. Since she is getting
better, I don’t need to check her once a day. From today, you can also try to take her to do some
normal social activities, such as dinner parties, or shopping! "
Antonio nodded, keeping these words firmly in mind. After Calvin left, Adelaide took a nap. When she
woke up, it was almost time for dinner. Thinking of Calvin's words, Antonio suggested to take her out to
eat.
Hanna happily said to Adelaide that she was going to have the most expensive food, letting Antonio
shell out for the dinner. Unexpectedly, Adelaide nodded. Antonio and Hanna were almost speechless in
surprise. After a while, Hanna repeated what she had just said completely.
Then they widened their eyes to watch Adelaide's reaction. Adelaide nodded again. Although she just
nodded lightly, they saw it clearly this time. Antonio excitedly held Adelaide in his arms. At this moment,
Adelaide blushed again.
Then the two of them hurriedly led Adelaide to the parking lot. The problem what happened last time
happened again. The two quarreled over which car Adelaide should get in.
"Antonio! Can you be a gentleman? Adelaide is my best friend. Of course she has to get in my car."
Antonio pursed his lips. He said indifferently, "She is my wife!"
They were so weird. Neither they wanted Adelaide to sit in each other's car, nor did they want to drive
one car. When they quarreled, both of them couldn’t make a concession.
"She's my best friend!" Hanna refused to give in. She raised her head to stare at Antonio, holding one
of Adelaide’s hand.
Antonio grabbed Adelaide's the other hand. He lowered his head and stared at Hanna, "No, your car is
not good enough!" Although he was a man, that he held a grudge was not less longer than girls. Just
because of the car things last time, he was ridiculed by Hanna that his car was not good enough and
not big enough, so he bought a customized personal sports car.
Hanna's car today was slightly inferior.
Hanna blushed with anger, "Hey, Antonio, you’re so mean! Would you like me to call Sean to drive my
Hummer over?"
Hearing this, Antonio gave a tut. He stretched out his hand to show his watch to her, "Miss Hanan, it's
rush hour. People all get off work. Waiting for your butler to drive over? Then we are all starving!"
"You!"
"Adelaide gets in my car. You drive your car!" Although Antonio didn’t say much in daily life, it didn’t not
mean that he couldn’t speak. He had never lost in any negotiations and debates. Then he held
Adelaide’s hand and walked towards his car.
Hanna caught up them. She grabbed Adelaide, frowning angrily at Antonio. They two refused to give
way. At this moment, Adelaide threw away their hands vigorously and said the first sentence since the
induction of labor, "You two! Listen to me, drive the van."
Both of them were taken aback. They looked back at Adelaide together. Adelaide blinked, "Why are
you two staring at me? Hurry up. Let Bruno drive the van over."
"You...you..." Antonio was too shocked to say out a complete sentence. Hanna tugged at his sleeve,
"Quickly!"
"Bruno, drive the van to the hospital."
Antonio gave a call to Bruno and then directly hung up after giving the order. Antonio and Hanna smiled
at each other when Adelaide didn’t notice.
