Chapter 4 Kenneth Quinn

Chapter 4 Kenneth Quinn

Truthfully, my blood started to boil madly. I grasped the broken bottle tightly in my hand and wanted to

stab his stomach with it so badly. My hand trembled.

But I didn’t do it, I suppressed my urge. I couldn’t afford to waste my youth in jail because of some

bastards like him.

In the spur of the moment, I thought of a plan. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

I secretly threw the bottle away and forced a calm smile, “Sir, I can apologize however you want me to.

But first, I have to ask my boyfriend. I cannot do anything without his permission.”

The fatso’s eyes turned darker. He snickered and said, “Do you know who am I? Who dare say no to

me? I’m Jordan Chan from the East Area!”

My heart became heavy.

His name was like thunders to my ears. He was infamous and was a vicious bastard. He had a bad

reputation and was known for being vain.

I had only heard of his name and never met him in person. Unfortunately, today was my unlucky day.

What should I do?

I would be shooting myself in the foot if I mentioned that name and it turned out that they knew each

other. But I had started the lie and I had to see it till the end.

“Tell me, who’s your boyfriend?” He probably realized that I was bluffing. His face turned darker.

“Ah, I see. It’s you, Jordan. I’m sorry that I didn’t recognize you immediately and was treating you like

that. Do you maybe know Kenneth? Well, he did mention your name several times. He said that you

are generous and forgiving.”

Kenneth? Kenneth Quinn?”

“Yes, him.”

There was a hint of fear in his eyes. I was right that he was afraid of Kenneth.

I let out a sigh of relief and thought that it was all over. But he smiled at me coldly, grabbed my hand

and yanked me out of the room. He pushed open the door to the Rose Room and yelled.

“Mr. Quinn, is this your woman?”

Jordon’s voice was eerily wintry. The moment the door open, the people in the Rose Room quieted

down. A bunch of people were talking about something by the couch table. They looked back at the

same time and spread out simultaneously.

A man in a suit who looked like he was in his late 20s was sitting on the sofa. He had a neatly combed

Mohawk, and his facial features were striking. He had a pair of handsome eyebrows and his cold gaze

slowly turned towards the door.

This had to be the rumoured Kenneth Quinn.

“Jordan, did nobody ever teach you the basic manners of knocking before you enter?” He frowned and

stood up. His large figure felt oppressing.

He was terrifying and intimidating. I mustered up some baseless courage, flung off Jordan’s hand and

ran towards Kenneth. I buried my head into his chest.

“Kenneth, Jordan was going to… I told him that I was your girlfriend, and he didn’t believe me.”

I pulled the end of his shirt tightly and looked at him pleadingly. If he pushed me away and said that he

didn’t know me, I would be dead meat. I had to go all out!

Kenneth squinted his eyes and stared at me for the longest time. He reached out his hand and ruffled

my hair. He then looked at Jordan frigidly, “Jordan, you wanted to… mess with my woman?”

“Oh, it was a misunderstanding. If she was really your woman, I wouldn’t dare to touch a single hair.

Please carry on, I’m taking my leave!”

Jordan was taken aback and was smiling as he tried to leave. A lanky man by the wall took a large step

forward and halted Jordan in his tracks.

“Don’t be in such a rush. Tell me, who left the mark on her cheek?”
