James smiled and said, "If you have other matters, go ahead. I can take care of the child here. The most important thing for you now is to quickly resolve the issue at hand."

"Recently, some photos of Lexi and me from our time in Usna have been circulating online. I'm unsure if it's intentional or just

enthusiastic netizens finding them, but you should keep an eye on these developments."

"Alright, I understand," Linda replied.

After hanging up the phone, she turned to Samson and asked, "I never planned for Lexi to enter the entertainment industry, but there are too many photos of her online now. A massive blacklist

won't be effective.

"So, I wonder whether there is a way to let her make a public

appearance. If we're watching over her, nothing should go wrong. Lexi wouldn't have to hide anymore. She could openly enjoy her time with us."

The events that transpired differed from what was initially planned.

Linda and Samson had previously agreed to keep Lexi out of the public eye as much as possible to prevent disruptions in her everyday life. However, the sudden surge of photos online was affecting the child.

As Lexi's parents, it seemed more sensible for them to expose her identity. In that way, even if the paparazzi managed to snap a picture of Lexi, it wouldn't cause too much of a stir.

Some said children living in the spotlight wouldn't be happy, but

Linda believed the parents' lack of liability made it so. Even in such an environment, a child could still be happy if the parents were capable.

was still hesitating.

When Samson and Linda entered the private dining room, Charlie had already been waiting for quite a while.

"Mr. Lynch, Ms, Felix, you two are right on time," Charlie remarked.

Samson pulled a chair for Linda, saying, "Mr. Jenkins, you still prefer to arrive earlier, just like before."

There was a hint of sarcasm in his tone as he continued, "But then, those who arrive early often get to discover things they hadn't before, like new actors they hadn't had the chance to exploit." Charlie tensed up at that moment.

"Mr. Lynch, you should be careful with your words. Such

*Mr. Jenkins, the real question is whether it's defamation or if your current actions are bordering on breaking the law," Linda interjected and straight to the point.

"Let's not beat around the bush. Why did you invite us here today? We don't want to waste our time. We're willing to talk if you're genuinely interested in having a discussion. If you're not sincere, though, we'll proceed with legal actions."

Charlie had never met Linda before, though he'd heard from a few

directors the kind of person she was. Seeing her in person for the first time made him realize she was extraordinary.

"Why the rush, Ms. Felix? We're all in the same industry. Let's enjoy a meal together and chat. That way, maybe we can strengthen our relationship. Who knows, there might be opportunities for our companies to collaborate in the future," he suggested.

She laughed at his words. "Mr. Jenkins, you've already harmed me and Lexi. I don't see any possibility of us working together."

"Are you saying that you don't have any kind of relationship with William?" Charlie asked, looking her in the eye.

"Of course," Linda replied confidently.

"William and I were married once, but that was five years ago. It's all in the past now, and we should move forward. Even exes can become good friends, especially when he's my daughter's godfather," she continued.

Linda's disdain was unmistakable as she stared at Charlie. "Mr. Jenkins, if you're thinking of using Lexi to get Sarah a role in one of my firms, you'd better give up on that idea."

"Do you really not know how Sarah is? Do you still think she could have a role in my film?" she questioned.
