Never Blinded by Love (Linda and Wilson)

Chapter 76

Reflecting on it, Linda realized she once loved being in lively environments.

When she used to live with her grandparents in a big courtyard as a kid, she'd always run to see what the commotion was about whenever there was an argument on the streets. How had she changed so much?

She couldn't recall. Maybe she had been so infatuated with William that she adopted his preferences, leading to a surprising change in behavior.

Luckily, she had stopped herself in time and avoided a worse outcome.

Perhaps it was just fate.

The two sat in silence in the private room. Linda flipped through the menu while checking messages from

Wendy on her phone.

"Linda..."

Linda shot him a glare. "If you want to get through this meal peacefully, then shut up."

William fell silent, merely watching her. Ignoring his gaze, she placed her orders and then picked up her

phone to deal with work.

Wendy called, and Linda answered without hesitation, "What's wrong?"

Whatever Wendy said made Linda frown, her expression growing increasingly sullen. "I understand. Don't worry. Come to the hotel and find me later. Also, calm Chloe down." After the call ended, Linda's eyes were filled with barely contained anger.

"Do you need my help?" William asked, eager to prove himself.

Linda stared at him and uttered, "Mr. Wilson, weren't you the one who made ida turn against Chloe?"

William was baffled. He had no idea what Linda was talking about. He hadn't done anything.

Just then, the waiter came to serve the dishes.

After dinner, Linda exited the private room without sparing William a glance. He quickly followed her, only

to encounter a surprising sight-Joanne and Ida at the restaurant entrance.

Spotting Linda, the two immediately approached her, unaware that William was right behind.

It wasn't until William reached the entrance that they noticed him. As usual, they started to jeer at Linda.

"Ms. Felix, can't you have some self-awareness and stop clinging to Ida's fiancé?" said Joanne with a look

of utter disdain.

Linda found her accusation amusing and retorted sharply, "Mrs. Wilson, you should get your eyesight checked. Who's clinging to whom here?"

"Are you saying my son is clinging to you? You sure think highly of yourself."

"I am clinging to Linda," William interjected. "Do I need to report my every action to you?*

He looked at Joanne and Ida indifferently. "And I'm not Ida's fiancé. Don't tarnish my reputation."

Linda genuinely wanted to laugh.

Tarnish his reputation? It was ironic to hear William say that..

"Since this is your family's matter, I'll take my leave," Linda said, walking a few steps forward before stopping and turning back to Ida.

"Ida, don't even think about plotting against us. I can be unpredictable when pushed."

She added with a smile, "If you don't believe me, you can try and see for yourself." After that, she left briskly, and William hurriedly followed.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
