My Identities Were Revealed After Marriage

Chapter 38

Chapter 38

After Teacher Abby left, Levy, his father, and father-in-law excused themselves to make a restaurant reservation and left Matilda and Grace to

assist Sandra and Deborah.

Matilda and Grace immediately struck up a conversation, delving into the topic of motherhood and discussing their daughters' personalities.

Matilda proudly described her daughter as quiet and easy-going, expressing her joy at having such a wonderful child. Grace couldn't help but

wonder, "Who was the person insulting the entire family on their first meeting?" Nevertheless, she smiled and replied, "I look forward to

having her as a daughter-in-law."

Observing the conversation between her mother and her future mother-in-law, Sandra couldn't help but question whether her parents truly Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

knew her or if their perception of her was shaped by their unconditional love and belief in her perfection. She was also curious about her

mother-in-law's response but was disappointed when she simply smiled, offering a response that didn't meet Sandra's expectations.

In the dormitory room, there were three beds, indicating that three people would be staying there. They each chose a bed, tidied up their

belongings, and unpacked. Afterwards, they left to have lunch together. On the way to the dining area, Matilda and Grace continued their

conversation, exchanging contact information and making plans to hang out and have family dinners in order to strengthen their familial

bonds.

Upon reaching the dining area, they found the men waiting for them, engaged in a conversation centered around business and other family

matters. Andrew, particularly proud of his daughter, expressed his sentiments and asked Matilda and Grace to take care of her.

Upon seeing the ladies approaching, the men stepped forward to welcome them. "Is everything ready?" they asked. "Yes, we're all set," came

the reply.

Levy took Sandra's hand, and they headed towards their car, with their parents and Deborah following closely behind. They drove directly to

Brovard Restaurant, where they parked and made their way to the entrance. Sandra was astonished that they had secured a reservation at

Brovard Restaurant so quickly. It was known for its exclusivity, typically requiring reservations to be made more than a month in advance.

Sandra was aware of the owner's reputation, and as if reading her thoughts, Levy explained, "I don't actually know who owns this restaurant.

A few years ago, I helped the owner's personal assistant, and she granted me the privilege of dining at any Brovard Restaurant or hotel branch.

Since I had tasted their food once during a meeting, and it was exceptionally good, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to enjoy a nice meal.

However, I do pay for our meals, so we won't go overboard."

Upon hearing Levy's explanation, the Smith family exchanged glances, silently conveying their understanding. They were surprised that Levy

had managed to secure a reservation at Brovard Restaurant, especially Matilda, who was familiar with the difficulties of making a reservation

there. They also wondered about the circumstances under which Levy had helped Gran, but they refrained from asking further questions. It

wasn't that they distrusted Levy and his family, as their time together had shown them that they were good people. They simply didn't want to

come across as showing off their ownership of the restaurant. Moreover, they were still uncertain if the Anthony family from the capital and

the Anthony family of City A were one and the same.

As they entered the restaurant, they were warmly greeted by the manager. However, upon spotting Matilda, the manager became visibly

nervous and struggled to find his words. He couldn't believe that his boss was standing before him, accompanied by their VIP customers.

Sensing his discomfort, Matilda swiftly intervened, asking, "Are you alright? Can we help you with something?" This brought the manager

back to his senses, and he stammered, "No, madam. I was just surprised to see Mr. and Mrs. Anthony again. They're a lovely couple, and they

were here celebrating their first wedding anniversary."

Upon hearing the manager's slip of the tongue in front of their parents, Levy and Sandra couldn't help but cough, feeling embarrassed by the

assumption. Sandra thought to herself, "To cover up his mistake, this manager had to embarrass me like this, especially in front of my in-laws

and parents." Sensing her discomfort, Levy came to her defense, saying, "What's wrong with celebrating our marriage?"

Deborah, who had remained quiet until now, chimed in, "Yes, yes, sister-in-law! It's great that you're celebrating your marriage, even when we

weren't around. I'll take you and my brother out when I have the time to celebrate with you. Just know that I'm your number one fan, and I

love you, my sister-in-law." She winked mischievously at them.

Levy couldn't help but roll his eyes, but deep down, he was pleased that his sister proclaimed herself as their biggest supporter.
