Bailey's pov
I feel my cheeks grow even hotter as I realize what he was talking about.
"I...I don't know what you're talking about." I stutter, taking another step back from him. But he follows, closing the gap between us once again.
"Don't play games with me, flower." His hand reaches out to gently touch my arm, sending shivers down my spine.
My eyes widen, my heart leaping.
Soon it began to race as I tried to come up with a response. Kaleb's gaze was so intense that I couldn't think properly.
The memory of last night, of what we had done, came rushing back to me. It was a blur, but I remembered his touch, his lips on my skin, the way he made me feel.
I shuddered.
"Kaleb," I whispered, praying that his parents would come to help me by entering the house.
Kaleb peers into my eyes intensely, so intense that it felt like he was looking right into my soul.
I bit my lip nervously, unsure of what to say. Kaleb took a step closer, his body now pressed against mine. His hand went to the small of my back, pulling me closer to him.
"Answer me, Bailey," he whispered, his breath hot against my skin. "Was it you?"
I'm breathing roughly, trying to ignore the way he was currently making me feel. At any second now his parents would walk through that door.
And the second I thought that, the door opens.
I jump away from Kaleb before they could see our very intimate position.
I flushed under the weight of his stare and moved away from him to avoid feeling the way I do now.
I heard the shocked gasp from his mom followed by his father yelling his name. "Kaleb Reece!"
Kaleb winced and scratched his head.
A few minutes after the Reece's loud lecture, Kaleb, Mira and I were forced to clean up the entire house until it was clean.
Mira wiped her eyebrow.
"I can't believe I listened to you Kaleb!" She huffed, back slouched in exhaustion.
It was rather hilarious seeing as Mira had one trash bag and it was barely filled. Which meant she barely actually cleaned up anything.
Kaleb and I were doing most of the work.
Though, it should really be him doing all the work. He was after all the host of that damn party last night.
"More work and less talking Mira!" Her mom scowled across the room, sent her kids a glare and walked to the back.
I bit my lip to stiffly my laugh when Mira groaned in frustration.
"You act like you're actually doing anything lazy ass." Kaleb grumbled, sending her an irritated stare.
Oh no. They were going to go at it.
I winced inwardly, preparing myself to hear the sibling banter.
I counted the seconds until they would.
Five.
Four.
Three.
"Shut the fuck up Kaleb! You're the one who wanted to party, you fucking imbecile!" Mira snarled back making me close my eyes and wince.
Ten minutes into their argument, their dad finally made them call truce.
"I'll start upstairs." I told them and made my way up the stairs.
As I make my way through the mess of the party, my mind wanders back to last night. The way Kaleb's hands moved over my body, the way his lips felt on mine.......
I shake my head, trying to clear my thoughts as I started picking up the trash.
Bending over, I winced and murmured the word ouch. I'm still sore down there.
"Still sore?"
The sudden sound of his voice just behind me made my heart jump in my throat.
I yelped a little, straightening my spine and whipping around with wide eyes.
I didn't hear when he sneaked up, too busy in my thoughts to have heard the sound of his footfalls.
He stood there, leaning against the wall, a crooked smile playing on his lips.
He chuckled and pushed off the wall, holding his hands up in surrender, one clasping a trash bag.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you there flower," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
I tried to play it cool and rolled my eyes. "Sneaking up on me Kaleb?" I huffed, turning around and continuing to pick up the trash and throw it in the bag.
My ears picked up on the sound of his nearing footfalls and my heart sped. I straightened when I felt his heat behind me. He was close. Too close. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
I swallowed and turned around. I was right he was so close.
His sudden presence was overwhelming, and I could feel the heat radiating from his body. And the way his eyes bored into mine so deeply.
I took in a shaky breath and took a step back then another. I felt the wall against my back as he approached me and knew that I was trapped.
One of his hand plaster on the wall, just beside my head. "Kaleb," I whispered as my heart leaped.
His blue eyes set me on fire as he watched me intensely.
"You shouldn-
I stopped when his thumb is suddenly on my cheek, brushing against it softly.
I closed my eyes, feeling his touch ignite a fire within me.
He leaned in closer, his breath hot against my ear. "Don't play innocent now, not when you said all those things last night. "
His words made me peel my eyes open quickly and the realization hit me. I can't believe I was falling right into his trap.
I smacked his hand away from my face and shifted to the side to get away from him. "I don't know what you're talking about." I lied again as I continued to busy myself picking up the trash.
Kaleb chuckled darkly, knowing fully well that I was lying straight out of my mouth.
He followed after me.
I gnawed on my lips.
"Don't lie to me, Bailey. You're not very good at it."
I could feel his eyes burning into my back and I continued to avoid his gaze.
"Just leave me alone, Kaleb," I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper.
He stepped closer to me, his hand reaching out to grab my wrist. "I can't do that, flower. You know that as well as I do that I can't. Not after last night."
I whipped around to stare at him in shock. His blue eyes connected with mine quickly.
I tried to pull away from him, but his grip was too strong. I could feel my heart racing as I looked up at him, his blue eyes piercing into mine.
"Let me go, Kaleb," The words came out like a shaky breath from my throat. " I am speaking the truth. It wasn't me."
His grip tightened, his gaze darkened. "Not until you confess to me Bailey. Not until you admit you were the one I was fucking last night."
I lowered my gaze, whispering without confidence. "I wasn't." I denied.
Kaleb snorted. "Come on flower, lying really isn't your strong suit. Besides, I know most certainly no other girl would feel as good as you did last night."
Then he lowered his head, his lips near my ear as he whispered. " Or taste as good."
