Chapter 291 Whisper
Hearing the nurses’ whispers, Blanca felt upset.
What did she do wrong?
“What are you talking about? Can I join in your conversation?” Blanca calmed down and then walked toward them.
She didn’t do anything wrong, so she was not afraid of being slandered. She even didn’t know them, so she wouldn’t watch them slander her like this.
“Ah, we’re just talking about the event that happened in the VIP ward this morning. I heard that… Hey, who are you? Are you just Mrs. Grant?”
“Yes, it’s me.” Blanca smiled and looked at the nurses with a confused look. “What’s wrong? Can’t I join in you?”
Those gossiping women got panic. It was so embarrassing to be caught just by the person who they were gossiping about.
They were afraid that Blanca would make trouble for them, so they said sorry and then ran away. Looking at their backs, Blanca was lost in thought.
After a while, she turned around and suddenly saw Peter there.
“Why are you here?” Blanca was a little surprised. She didn’t want him to know her feelings, so she pretended to be calm. Peter raised the flower in his hand and said, “Malinda is hospitalized here. I come to see her.”
Both Peter and Matthew were Mr. Butler’s students, so Peter had to come to see Malinda since she was ill, but why did he come here in the afternoon? Blanca asked, “Why do you come so late? She may kick you out for your carelessness.”
Generally speaking, morning meant vitality, so the visitors often went to see the patients in the morning.
It was impolite to see the patient in the afternoon.
“She won’t.” Peter shrugged his shoulders disapprovingly. Seeing that there was no one around, he got close to Blanca and said in a low voice, “She is not easy to get along with, though she looks gentle. I even hope that she would never recover.”
“What?”
“If she can’t recover, no one will take your husband away from you,” Peter said.
“Peter!” Blanca was unhappy to hear that. She was wronged for planning to hurt Malinda just in the morning, so Peter’s words would make people misunderstand her even more.
Most importantly, they were just in the hospital now.
“All right, all right. I won’t make fun of you anymore.” Peter giggled and said, “I’m going to see Malinda. See you later.”
Peter left after saying that. Blanca was not in the mood to argue with him.
When she returned to the ward, she remembered that she had gone to ask the doctor about Matthew’s condition, but she came back without asking anything. Fortunately, Matthew didn’t ask about it.
Blanca was not in a good mood since she came back, so Matthew had sensed this quickly.
“Blanca, was there anyone who made you unhappy again?” Matthew asked.
What did he mean by saying “again”?
Blanca pouted. Matthew knew that she was a little bored here, so he asked Curtis to send her back in the afternoon.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
After sending Blanca back home, Curtis came back and saw Matthew standing on the balcony and was thinking about something. He walked over and reported, “Mr. Grant.”
“How is she?”
“She seems to be in a bad mood,” Curtis said.
Curtis was right. Blanca had been chased and intercepted by reporters, and then she had been slandered by the nurse. Definitely, she didn’t feel good now.
