Mr Grant, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 201 Being drunk

Looking at the sea of cars around her, Blanca stood by, at a loss, like a stranger in a foreign city. She didn’t understand why she was so angry. Maybe because it wounded her dignity and things that were most important to her.

After wandering around aimlessly for a while, Blanca walked into a bar. The bar bustled with people. Lights shone brightly and loud music filled the air.NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

“Hello, Miss. What would you like to drink?” a waiter asked loudly.

Watching men and women swinging on the dance floor, Blanca managed a smile. She sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. She took a sip. Wine slipped down her throat into her stomach. The wine was so strong that it almost brought tears to her eyes.

While Blanca was staring blankly at the dancers, a man sat beside her. She frowned, as she just actually wanted to be alone. But when she stood up and planned to find a new proper seat, the man seized her hand.

“Where are you going?” said a voice Blanca knew.

Blanca took a closer look at the man. Then she went pale. “Wha-what are you doing here, Jim?” asked Blanca in surprise. She seemed to be a little drunk and brighter color came into her face. She looked at Jim and swayed a little, still clutching the edge of the table for support.

Blanca’s glossing red lips caught Jim’s eye. He had always envied Matthew, because of his success. And now Jim’s jealousy was even stronger, for Matthew had such a beautiful wife. Jim held back his jealousy. “You needn’t be so surprised. I come to this bar quite often,” he said, keeping his tone deliberately casual. Then he leaned towards Blanca and asked, “Why are you here? Did you have an argument with Matthew?”

“I…” Before Blanca finished the sentence, Jim interrupted her. “Hush. Let me guess. Seems like you and Matthew are having problems. Because of the scandal? Why? I heard Matthew have punished them,” said Jim.

He put his hand on Blanca’s shoulder, but Blanca moved away quickly. Jim frowned slightly at her. Next second, he took her in his arms imperatively, with a sly grin, which made Blanca feel terribly uneasy. “I know you drunk, Blanca! I’ll take you for a rest,” said Jim.

“No, I won’t.” Blanca knocked his hand away. A furrow of irritation showed between her brows. “I feel like having a drink,” she said.

“OK. Great! Drink with you!” Jim said and called a waiter, “Two shots of tequila, please!”

After that, Blanca got totally wasted. Her face became pink and her eyes seemed larger and very bright. She pointed a finger at Jim and said, “Matthew! You bastard! Why did you talk to me like that? Why is it that you do not trust me?”

“Yes, you’re right. The guy’s a jerk. I’ll take you to a room to get some rest,” Jim said. When Jim saw her so drunk, he was in ecstasy. He walked up to Blanca and helped her rise. Blanca seemed unable to walk steadily. She lay quietly in his arms and went upstairs with him.

When Elizabeth happened to see that, she stood petrified with astonishment. She didn’t expect Blanca was such a drunken slut! She was so angry that her fists were trembling. Of course, she also thought it could be her big chance. At this thought, she grabbed her phone and dialed Matthew’s number. “Hey, Matthew! I saw…” But Elizabeth stopped when she had second thoughts. Maybe this was not the right time to tell Matthew the truth. Elizabeth thought she needed to be a bit more patient, because if Matthew could see Blanca having sex with Jim in person, that would be perfect. Come to think of it, Elizabeth quickly changed her mind. She said on the phone, “I’m sorry, Matthew. I have the wrong number.”
