Zane thought that if he did not go to see Lianne, others would not be able to see his concern for her.

When Dr. Leah arrived yesterday, Lianne had fallen unconscious in her arms. So, she hurriedly fed

him to sign a contract…”

Lianne turned over and was about to get out of bed, but Dr. Leah held her down in time. “It’s already

late at night. What’s there to sign at this hour? You should take good care of your body and leave the

rest for when you recover.”

“Why don’t you get up and jump a few times to see if you’re alright?” Dr. Leah was really helpless

Lianne nodded. “Okay.”

Dr. Leah put away the medicine box. “Alright. I’ll get you some food first. Come out to eat once you’ve

washed up.”

As soon as Dr. Leah left, Lianne immediately found her bag and took out two phones.

Lianne checked her work phone first. While there was not a single call to her work number, there were

many missed calls on her personal phone.

They were all from Sierra and Tyler. Lianne immediately called them back, and they quickly picked

Tyler yelled, “Gummy, where did you go? Why didn’t you answer the phone? Do you know how

worried we’ve been?!”

Lianne did not want them to worry, so she made up a small lie. “I drank too much last night and stayed

in the hotel. I was busy with work during the day, so I didn’t have time to answer your calls.”

Sierra kept talking. “Your exploiter boss is enslaving you! It’s already 9:00 pm. Where are you now?

We’ll pick you up.”

Lianne replied, “I’m near HC Manors.”

Tyler said, “Find a cafe and wait for us there. Don’t run around. We’ll go over now.”

“Okay.” After hanging up the phone, Lianne dragged her limp body to the bathroom, washed up briefly,

and changed into her work clothes.

Since Dr. Leah had already washed her work clothes, they were clean.

After tidying up, Lianne walked out of the room and went to the living room. Unexpectedly, Zane was

also there. He was holding a tablet and seemed to be reading documents.

“Mr. Atlas…” Lianne greeted him, and he hummed without looking up.

Dr. Leah gave Lianne a bowl of chicken noodle soup. “Why did you change your clothes?”
