Subtitle: Getting to know him

“He loves you, but his ego won’t let him admit it.”
Paul started.
“Who are you? You don’t even know me.”
Anderson furrowed his brows.
Pretending as if Anderson wasn’t there, Paul continued talking to Alexa.
“You know why?”
He asked, and as if on impulse, Alexa nodded in the negative.
“Because his father killed your parents.”
Paul smirked.
“What the?!…”
Alexa started… And stopped abruptly, unable to construct words to speak.
“Who are you to tell lies about my father?!”
Anderson asked exasperatingly, but as usual, Paul ignored him.
“Are you shocked about what I just told you? Or you think I’m lying?”
Paul asked, directing his question to Alexa.
When he saw she had doubts about what he was saying, he smirked and continued.
“Your father was owing his boss some money, and his boss ended up sending some people from the cult he’s in after him, eventually killing your Dad, and your mum died of heart failure because of the incident.”
Hearing all this from a stranger was so shocking.
“How do you know all this?”
Alexa asked in a low voice.
Ignoring Alexa’s question, Paul continued.
“Your Dad’s boss… Was no other person but your boyfriend’s Dad.”
He dropped the bombshell.
“I asked, how do you know about my family?!”
Alexa yelled, her eyes getting wet.
“I have my ways.”
Paul hung his shoulders.
Alexa turned to face Anderson.
“What he said just now… Is it true?”
Anderson huffed.
“Don’t tell me… You believe him? A total stranger?!”
“He’s not really a stranger! He is the Paul that kidnapped me… So he must have sure ran a background check on me and you before taking an action.”
“He’s… He’s Paul?”
Anderson stammered and staggered backwards a bit.
“Yes, he is!”
Alexa said.
“Wanna know the most interesting part, princess?”
Paul winked at Alexa.
“Your prince charming knows about this too.”
Paul dropped another bombshell.
Seeing the shocking effect it had on Alexa, he smirked and prepared to leave.
“I’ll see you later, pretty.”
He whispered in her ear and reached out his tongue to flick her ear lobe quickly before leaving, not giving Alexa the chance to do anything.
“Catch you later, Anderson. I, Peter, will see you another day… And I won’t go easy on you like I did today.”
He smirked evilly and left.
“What was that about? You dating him?”
Anderson asked sarcastically as soon as Paul left.
Alexa huffed.
“I should be the one doing the questioning. WHAT. WAS. THAT. ABOUT?”
“What are you questioning me about?”
Anderson queried, feigning ignorance.
“Don’t try to play smart with me. You know what I’m asking about!”
Alexa yelled, drawing the attention of others in the salon.
Very soon, they started to mummur.
“Isn’t that Anderson Green? Who’s the girl with him?”
A customer like Alexa asked the hairstylist making her hair.
“You don’t know her?”
The stylist asked back.
“I don’t, yet I seem to have seen her face somewhere.”
The customer lady replied.
“On the internet right?”
Her stylist asked.
“Exactly!”
The lady exclaimed.
“You don’t think she’s the girl Anderson has been in the news with, do you?”
The stylist huffed and brought out her phone… Searching through the internet.
“She looks like the girl in the pictures.”
The lady who had been one of the people devastated at the news said.
“Not a lookalike, she’s the girl!”
Her stylist exclaimed.
“How can you confirm that?”
The lady rolled her eyes at the stylist who sounded stupid to her.
“Check out the update on Anderson and his ‘mystery girl’.”
Her stylist hung her shoulders before dropping her phone.
Seeing how serious her stylist was, the lady brought out her own phone, doubts still in her mind to check out what her stylist was saying.
“Omg… It’s true!”
She screamed, but her stylist placed a hand over her mouth… Thereby muffling her screams.
Seeing her customer had calmed down, the stylist gently removed her hand from her mouth.
“Oh geez, I’m so jealous of her.”
The customer said, rolling her eyes as she said this.
“You see… And if you notice, the pictures were taken today.”
The stylist noted.
“And how do you know that?”
The lady still overcome with jealousy asked.
“Were you blind when you were scrolling through the update? The pictures there… The clothes they were putting on then are the same clothes they’re putting on now!”
The stylist pointed out.
At once, the lady glanced over at the duo over the room and saw the point her stylist made.
“You’re right. But who’s the person revealing pictures of the both of them and how does the person know them both?”
She asked, curiosity taking the best of her.
“And how am I supposed to know that?”
Her stylist asked sarcastically.
“You didn’t have to reply that way, did you?”
The customer asked, but when her stylist didn’t reply, she decided to let it go and asked something else.
“But why are they arguing?”
To her question, her stylist simply answered.
“That, I don’t know.”
“Look at them.”
The lady customer said to her stylist before keeping her head positioned for her hair stylist to continue styling her hair while she feasted her eyes on Anderson and Alexa.
“Why do you keep on deceiving me all the time?!”
Alexa yelled at Anderson.
“Me, deceive you? When?”
Anderson questioned.
“Severally. Was it when you blackmailed me into being your maid, when you had marriage in your mind? You also deceived me the night you took my virginity!”
“Seriously, that last one wasn’t my fault. I was drunk and you were dressed sexily… What should I have done?”
Anderson half yelled.
Alexa huffed.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
“That wasn’t your fault? Did I seriously just hear you say that night wasn’t your fault?! Did you forget you deceived me into thinking you were telling me your story just to get me drunk and get into my thighs?!”
“I also hope you don’t forget you sat on my laps yourself!”
Anderson yelled back.
“Oh, you’re trying to blame the outcome of your alcohol on me? How selfish!”
“You’re the selfish one here! I’ve done nothing but spend on you, what have you given me in return?”
Distraught, Alexa looked at Anderson wondering if he was the same person she had come to love. She huffed and started speaking to herself.
“He’s done nothing but spend on me. I’ve never given anything to him in return.”
She continued to repeat these two sentences over and over again.
As she continued to repeat those two sentences, she started walking absentmindedly towards wherever she was going to. Out of the salon she went, and started out towards the busy road ahead.
Alarmed, Anderson followed her, running after her to prevent her from having a road accident. Just before she stepped foot into the busy road over run with different moving vehicles, he grabbed her wrist and yanked her backwards.
“What the hell are you thinking going out into the road like that?!”
Anderson yelled out of concern and fear for his lover’s life.
Hearing him yell at her that way, Alexa’s pent up aggression came alive, making her yell.
“Leave me alone, you bastardized son of a murdering simp!”
Yelling at him, she forced a strength she never knew she had on her arm and yanked her wrist out of Anderson’s hand.
On impact, Anderson lost grip on himself both from shock at what Alexa just called him and the strength she used in forcing him let go of her and stepped into the busy road.
Next thing…
He was on the ground, his blood slowly making a pool around him.
A vehicle just hit him.
