Wedding Shopping
“Perfect,” Anderson replied. “That gives us a timeline to work with.
Now, we should focus on arranging the necessary documentation for the wedding. We’ll need a marriage license, certificates, and all the formalities to make it look real.”
Alexander nodded. “I’ve got my legal team working on that already.
And I’ve arranged a list of guests, some of whom are just close friends, so it doesn’t look like a grand wedding. We’ll need witnesses to make it official.”
“Great,” Anderson said. “The more real it looks, the better.
And what about Marissa’s attire? You mentioned your driver picking her up for shopping. Do you have any preferences for her wedding dress?”
“I’ll leave that to her. I hope she has a good sense of style,” Alexander responded.
“Are you sure about that?” Anderson asks, looking at Alex in a weird way.
Alexander brow furrowed at Anderson.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You know the type of person you are. Are you sure you’re okay with her style?
I mean what if she chooses some clothes that you do not like and does not suit your style?” Anderson asked.
“C’mon man, she’s not a child that needs someone to teach her to have a sense of style,” he said.
“Alright… if you say so.” Anderson said.
But Alexander was concerned about what Anderson had just said.
What If she actually picks clothes that he doesn’t like? What if she doesn’t have a sense of style?
Alexander’s worries about Marissa’s sense of style continued to nag at him throughout the day.
What if her choice of clothes for the fake wedding wasn’t in line with what he normally likes?
As he sat in his office, he decided to send Marissa a message to subtly inquire about her fashion choices.
‘Hey Marissa, I hope you’re doing well. I’m not sending this to make you think I care. Just wanted to check if you have any specific ideas for the wedding attire. Let me know your thoughts. – Alex’
He hoped that she would provide some insight into her fashion sense and their collaboration for the upcoming events.
‘Hello, Alexander. I don’t care about that. I have some ideas on my phone. I will send it to you now. – Marissa.’
Alexander received Marissa’s message and quickly opened the attached photos of her ideas for the wedding attire.
He was curious about what he would find.
As he looked through the pictures, Alexander couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief. Marissa had a good eye for fashion, and the outfits she had suggested were tasteful and elegant.
He was pleasantly surprised by her choices and realized that his worries about her sense of style had been unfounded.
“Thank you, Marissa. These ideas are great,” he replied. “We’ll go with them for the wedding attire.”
Alexander was relieved that Marissa’s fashion choices aligned with his sense of style, making the upcoming events more manageable.
He was learning that, despite their differences and the nature of their arrangement, they could still work together effectively.
Meanwhile Marissa wasn’t home as she had gone to the hospital to check up on her brother who was still recovering.
“Hey brother. How are you feeling?” she said as she sat down beside him.
“Like death!” he replied.
“Stop, don’t say that.” she warned.
“I’m bored sis. This place just…. makes me more sick.
I want to return to school and breathe in and out the school breeze again.” he said.
“Don’t worry, you’ll be going back to school soon after the doctor have done more test on you to be sure that you’re strong and ready to go home.” she said.
Marissa spent some time with her brother, trying to lift his spirits. She knew how much he missed being at school and among his friends.
She assured him that he would be back in no time and encouraged him to focus on getting better.
Her phone began to ring and as she checked the caller id, she realized that it was Alexander’s driver.
Oh boy… What is she going to do? She didn’t want him to know she was in the hospital so she didn’t pick the call.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
He called again and this time she picked up trying to act as composed and calm as possible hoping that the driver wouldn’t suspect that she was somewhere.
“Hello.” she answered her voice low.
“Sorry, ma’am but my boss informed me that I should pick you up and take you to get something by 2pm and this is 2.” he said.
Marissa felt the pressure of the situation. She had to come up with a quick excuse to explain her whereabouts without revealing that she was at the hospital visiting her brother.
“Hi,” she responded, trying to sound composed. “I’m currently tied up at a friend’s place, and I won’t be able to make it to the appointment right now. Can you give me a little more time? I’ll let you know when I’m ready.”
The driver agreed and said he’d be on standby. Marissa couldn’t help but feel relieved that she had a bit more time to be with her brother without arousing suspicion.
Marissa spent another hour with her brother at the hospital, trying to keep his spirits high and distract him from his illness.
After a while, she decided it was time to return to the mansion.
She called the driver and informed him that she was ready for the outing. The driver arrived shortly to pick her up.
She was determined to play her part in this fake marriage, even if it meant juggling her personal life and her commitments to him.
As she arrived at the mansion, the driver was there waiting inside the car and so she knocked his glass in the driver’s seat to get his attention.
“Oh ma’am.” he said as he came out of the driver’s seat.
Marissa smiled.
“I apologize for keeping you waiting, I was just stuck with something… but I’m free now… so let’s go.”
The driver nodded and went to the passenger seat to open the door.
“Oh no no you don’t have to do that. I can open the door myself. But thank you.” She smiled and entered the car.
