Jocelyn clearly saw the speeding car colliding into the passenger’s seat of the other car maniacally.

The two cars collided against one another, and a loud crash resonated through the air. The cars broke as fresh blood splattered across the car windows. The scene before Jocelyn was gruesome and terrifying. Jocelyn never knew that a human being could bleed so much.

She was stunned for a few seconds. She then stood on the brakes at once.

However, the car behind her was yet to realize what had happened. It continued driving forward and collided with the back of her car. It had been driving at a rather high speed.

Jocelyn’s car got pushed forward by the car behind. Her car then collided with the car in front of her. Jocelyn’s car shook. She hit her forehead against the steering wheel, and she felt a piercing pain in her forehead. There must be an open wound on her forehead.

She did not pass out, but she felt rather dazed. It felt like she could not control her limbs.

The sirens of an ambulance rang out in her ears.

The loud yells and cries on the road felt extremely distant from Jocelyn. The sounds seemed to be nearby and far away from her at times.

She did not contact anyone when she got sent to the hospital. The doctor bandaged the wound on her forehead and handed her a form. He then asked her to undergo several examinations to ensure that her organs or head were not damaged. Jocelyn took the form and headed off to receive the examinations in a daze. However, nobody picked up his calls. Skyler’s expression darkened as the atmosphere in the car grew icier.

Yale wanted to comfort Skyler, but he did not believe that Jocelyn was safe and sound either.

After all, he could tell just how gruesome the scene of the car accident was from his men’s description. Skyler finally stopped dialing Jocelyn’s phone number. He looked at Yale with a pained expression on his face. “What happened back then?”

Yale took a deep breath. He felt extremely panicked right now. “Lynn sped up her car and drove past the dividing yellow line on the road. She collided with Lily White’s car. Back then, Lily was driving, and Howard was in the passenger’s seat.”

The nurse at the receptionist’s desk looked at him sympathetically and said, “She’s in the operation theatre on the fourth floor!” Skyler and Yale immediately headed to the fourth floor. The moment the door of the elevator opened, Skyler rushed to the operation theatre. Just then, a nurse came out from the theatre. His uniform was splattered with blood. Skyler felt chills spread all over his body. He stared at the nurse stiffly and asked, “How’s she?”

The nurse glanced at him. He seemed rather shocked. “Who are you?” Yale immediately spoke up, “He’s Miss White’s husband!” The nurse glanced at Skyler and said, “We should be able to save her life, but she’ll lose both her legs. Let go of me first. The patient is still in surgery right now. She lost too much blood. I need to get more blood from the blood bank!”
