Love’ss 207

Madelyn walked out of the underground garage and over to the elevators of her office building. When she reached the studio, she met Elena, who had just come out of Jessie’s office.

Elena was startled to see Madelyn. She looked around, and when she saw that there wasn’t anybody there, she lowered her voice and asked, “What are you doing here?”

“Working,” Madelyn answered shortly before walking toward her own office.

Elena took two steps forward and grabbed her. There was a look of shock in her eyes. “Why are you working here?”

How could this be possible?

This was the Klago City branch of Unity Studios. Madelyn did not have any work experience at all. Why would they have hired her?

However, when she thought of Andrew, Elena suddenly felt that it seemed logical for Madelyn to be here. She was once again jealous of how lucky. Madelyn was to be treasured so much by Andrew.

Madelyn looked down at the hand that Elena was clutching, and there was a flash of revulsion in her eyes. “Can you let go of me?”

“Hmph!” Elena let go at once and looked at the sign on Madelyn’s office door. She was in the design department, where Elena would also be working.

She might not be as good as Madelyn in other aspects, but she was confident that she was better at design than Madelyn was! Elena smiled at the thought.

“So, you’re in the design department too. I was just hired, so we’ll be colleagues in the future, Maddie.”

When Madelyn heard that Elena had also joined the design department,

she frowned and said nothing.

She flung Elena’s hand aside and entered the office. The door slammed shut within an inch of Elena’s nose.

Elena’s expression changed, and a venomous look appeared in her eyes. She smiled meaningfully and turned to leave.

Emma had already arrived at the office, Her work desk was opposite Madelyn’s, and she jumped in fright when the door slammed.

She looked up at Madelyn and saw the stylishly designed dress that she was wearing, which accentuated her figure perfectly. She couldn’t help asking. “What brand is your dress from? The cutting is gorgeous!”

Madelyn looked at her dress.

The truth was that Andrew had spoiled her so much that she didn’t have much of her own taste. He was the one who designed all her clothes.

As for how to match them, Andrew knew much more about that than she did, so he was also the one who came up with her outfits. If he said that it looked good, she would wear it.

Since Emma was asking her for the brand, she could not say that her husband had designed it, so she came up with a wild lie. “My mother made. it for me. Does it look good?”

It was only half a lie.

Andrew had inherited his gift for design from Grace. All of Madelyn’s childhood dresses were made by Grace, which made her the object of envy among her classmates in kindergarten and elementary school.

When Emma heard that the dress was made by Madelyn’s mother, she immediately lost interest. She assumed that Madelyn’s mother was just an ordinary seamstress, so she just said coldly, “Close the door more quietly in the future.”

Madelyn did not know why Emma’s expression turned cold all of a sudden, but she did not care. She turned her computer on and began to immerse herself in her work.

Her first reaction to Elena getting hired here was to find a way to get her fired.

However, when she thought about how Elena and Easton might be

working together with Elijah to do something, she changed her mind.

It might be beneficial to keep an eye on her. Although it was troublesome and annoying, she didn’t mind enduring it for Andrew’s sake.

That morning, Emma and Madelyn were called out of their office by Jessie. Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

Jessie’s expression was inscrutable. She looked at Madelyn and Emma and said, “The clients have seen the drafts you submitted yesterday. One passed, and the other didn’t. There are a lot of changes that need to be done!“”

Basically, it was good news and bad news.

Emma looked triumphantly at Madelyn. Madelyn had no experience, after all. Emma was currently the only designer in the studio, and she was sure that the position of design director would soon be hers.

Emma suppressed her glee and stepped forward confidently, saying,” Don’t worry, Ms. Carter. I’ll work with Madelyn to come up with a new design so that we won’t delay the project’s approval process.” Jessie’s brows furrowed as she glanced at Madelyn.
