Love You, Spoil You

Chapter 9 Caught Back Again

Chapter 9 Caught Back Again

"Let me go!" Charlotte immediately began to resist. She kicked Oliver with her high heels without

hesitation, but he dodged it in an instant. The next moment, she stumbled and was grabbed back by

him.

"Are you feeling guilty too? You haven't explained what had happened to my family. Why can't you just

let me go? What do you want?" Charlotte struggled.

"Speaking of your family..." Oliver paused.

Charlotte suddenly fell quiet and turned to look at him.

"Your father died in a car accident. Think about it with your empty brain. Why have all these

coincidences happened to the Shao family?" Oliver smiled. "Or..."

"Or what?"

"Let's go." Oliver let go of Charlotte and turned around.

This time, he didn't have to pull her away forcibly because Charlotte just followed him automatically.

"Make it clear!"

"If you want to know, you'd better be obedient. I'm not a patient person." Oliver straightened his sleeves

and got into the car. He raised his eyebrows at Charlotte.

Standing beside the car, Charlotte pursed her lips and hesitated.

She was unwilling to go with Oliver, but if she just left like this... she would never know the truth of her

father's car accident.

She gritted her teeth, lowered her head and got into the car too.

Oliver smiled and looked ahead. After a while, he closed his eyes for rest. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

In the next few days, Charlotte became very obedient, almost always on call and satisfying Oliver's

every need. But she secretly investigated the truth of her father's car accident and swore to take

revenge on Emmett.

Oliver could also tell that she was reluctant to do those things, but he knew what she wanted, so he just

tantalized her. Every time they talked about the car accident, he immediately changed the topic, almost

making Charlotte mad.

After a long day, there was finally some noise downstairs in the early evening.

"Mr. Oliver, you're back." A servant greeted.

The sound of footsteps was low. The man headed upstairs.

Hearing the noise, Charlotte immediately sat up in bed and looked out of the door.

A slender figure slowly appeared at the end of the corridor and moved towards her direction step by

step. After a long time, Oliver stopped at the door.

Charlotte looked at his delicate features for a moment and sighed in her heart. Although this man had a

very bad temper and personality, she had to admit that his face was gorgeous. Every time she looked

at it, she would be completely amazed.

"Get dressed. We need to go out." Oliver left a box and walked out of the room.

"Hey!" Charlotte wanted to say something more, but Oliver had completely left her sight.

She reached for the box and took a look. The surface of the box was fluffy, which looked very luxurious.

She opened the box and saw a black strapless evening dress. It had simple design, but Charlotte could

tell that it was very expensive at a glance.

She took a look at the price tag and was shocked by it for a moment. After thinking for a while, she

turned around and changed her clothes.

''It's none of my business how much the dress costs, ' she thought to herself. 'I can't escape from him

for the time being, so I'd better listen to him first. He is so unpredictable. Maybe he will tell me the truth

when he is in a good mood.' Moreover, it would be more convenient to get information if she stayed by

Oliver's side.

She guessed that they were going to a banquet, so she put on a pair of black feathered earrings.

When she went downstairs, Charlotte could clearly feel that the maid was staring at her. But she

ignored it.

"Let's go," she said.

Oliver was sitting on the sofa and he looked up at her when he heard her. Without saying anything, he

stood up and walked towards the door.

Charlotte was a little surprised by his reaction. 'Is he unsatisfied with my look?' she wondered.

But she just frowned and followed him without a word.

"Oliver, when are you going to tell me about the car accident?" Charlotte said as soon as she got in the

car.

The assistant lowered his head and couldn't help smiling. Miss Charlotte had been asking these

questions for many days in a row.

"You will know it when it's time for you to know," Oliver replied coldly.

"When should I know?" Charlotte asked.

"Let's go." Oliver looked at the driver and ignored her.

Charlotte gritted her teeth and settled back in her seat, feeling angry.

Soon they arrived at the banquet hall.

She got out of the car and stumbled as she tried to catch up with Oliver.

Oliver paused as if he was waiting for her. He frowned and said, "There will be many dignified people in

the all later. Watch your mouth and don't make a fool of yourself."

Charlotte gritted her teeth and wanted to retort, but she suppressed the urge. After a while, she said in

a low voice, "Got it. Got it."

Oliver stretched out his hand and stopped in front of Charlotte. His arm bent slightly as if he was

waiting for something.

It took Charlotte several moments to realize that he was asking her to hold his arm. Stunned, she

hesitated for a moment before she put her hand on Oliver's arm.

The two of them walked at different paces, which was a little awkward, but people were still gazing at

them.

The moment Oliver entered the hall, the crowd began to grow quiet, and finally no one was chatting

anymore.

"Mr. Oliver." Someone came to greet him.

"Mr. Oliver." Soon the other man came.

People kept saying hello to Oliver, and they kept looking at Charlotte up and down, showing no

intention of withdrawing their eyes.

Charlotte smiled at them and remembered what Oliver said just now. She couldn't lose face.

It was true that she didn't represent herself or the Shao Group on such an occasion. Although she

didn't want to admit it, she would only be treated as Oliver's date now. As long as she stood beside him

for a second, everyone's eyes would fall on her.

He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and had always been the focus of attention.

Charlotte frowned and loosened her grip on Oliver.

"I'll go to eat something by myself. You can go to the dinner party," she said. After all, she was not used

to being an accessory.

Oliver looked at her for a while, then their eyes met.

He saw the unwillingness and stubbornness in her eyes, which had always been there.

Oliver turned around indifferently and walked to the other side of the hall without saying anything.

Seeing that a group of people swarmed towards Oliver in an instant and the flattering words kept

coming to her ears, Charlotte finally understood how high the status of Oliver was. She had never seen

such a scene before. But even with all the noble people around, Oliver was somebody that could not be

ignored.

She turned around and decided to concentrate on filling her belly. She took some desserts, and turned

around to leave.

"Hi, beauty." A figure appeared in front of her and stopped her.

Charlotte looked up and frowned.
