She's a maid not a CEO
She's a maid not a CEO
Do you have the right to?
Quinn smirked as she silently sipped on her glass of wine.
She wanted their gazes to meet. Only then would the show be more spectacular...
The thought hardly left her mind, when Kathleen suddenly raised her head.
Their gazes met!
Kathleen was surprised, and it clearly showed on her face.
She excused herself and walked over to the table where Quinn was sitting.
"What are you doing here? Do you think this is a get-together for maids?" Kathleen had a look of mockery on her face.
Quinn didn't say a word.
Her lack of reaction irked Kathleen...
"I'm talking to you!" She tried to keep her voice as low as possible.
"And what am I supposed to do?" Quinn finally raised her head to meet with Kathleen's gaze.
"How did you get in here? Let me guess, you are fucking a sleazy old man." Kathleen sneered.
What was she after all? A cheap slut!
"Is that so? How did you guess?" Quinn questioned with a serious look on her face.
"It isn't so hard to. You would easily open your legs for anyone, as long as the person is wealthy. Right?" Kathleen continued taunting.
"So to what do I owe this honour?" Quinn calmly asked.
Kathleen bent over at the table, and lowering her voice a little,
"I want you to get out of here. I can't stand eyesores like you." Kathleen smirked.
"Oh, I'm sorry. But I'm not going anywhere." Quinn responded defiantly.
"Really? How did you get in here?!" Kathleen deliberately raised her voice in order to attract the attention of the guards.
And she did.
They came rushing in...
"Is there any problem here, misses?" One of them asked.
"She's the problem. Take her out, she has no invitation card." Knowing that her standing was above Quinn, she gained a sense of superiority. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
Quinn just calmly watched the drama that was unfolding, without a word.
No invitation card? What a joke!
A word was all it took, and Kathleen would be thrown out of the party.
The guards turned towards Quinn, and as they were about to speak, they remembered something.
She was the guest with the golden card!
"We are sorry for the misunderstanding miss, we would return now." The guards stumbled out of the hall, and back to their positions.
They still loved their jobs...
Kathleen was surprised at the turn of events,
What just happened?
"You must be the slut of a very influential man.. Wow, you are quite capable..." Kathleen taunted.
"Why don't you find an influential man too. Or what do you think? I know some people." Quinn drawled lazily.
Was she admitting to it?
"Get out!" This time, Kathleen was quite determined to draw the attention of the Stones themselves!
How great would it be, if her rival in love was disgracefully thrown out of the party?
Superb!
The other guests turned their heads towards the source of the commotion.
They saw an elegant lady talking to a similarly elegant one.
Due to the hatred clouding her senses, Kathleen didn't even notice what Quinn was wearing. She was determined to throw her out of the party.
"What is going on here?" A cold voice questioned.
Both ladies turned to look at him. It was Horde Sawyer!
Everyone knew who Horde Sawyer was. He was the famous CEO of the Sawyers Corporation. He was a middle aged man who valued etiquette seriously.
Kathleen cheered silently in her heart. Finally, the bitch would be thrown out!
"It's this young miss here. I don't know how she got inside. I'm simply trying to usher her out, to avoid unnecessary troubles." Kathleen said calmly.
However, one could detect the underlying meaning of her words. On the surface, she was pretending to be calm to Quinn.
But she was hinting that Quinn was there to cause trouble!
Horde turned towards Quinn, who was nonchalantly tapping her fingers on the table.
He frowned; why did she look familiar.
Quinn rose to her full height, and clearing her throat, she politely nodded at Horde.
This action astonished Horde further; wasn't she afraid of him?
"Are you trying to say, the Stones personal guards are incompetent?" Quinn sneered at her with twinkling eyes.
Kathleen was stumped. How could she respond to a question like that?
If she agreed to it, she was indirectly insulting the Stones. If she didn't, she was agreeing to the fact that she was the one causing trouble by unnecessarily disturbing Quinn.
She had shot herself on the foot!
She glared at Quinn. When had she become so good with words?
At the side, Horde watched her with interest; she had a high IQ!
That was interesting...
And then it clicked on his mind... Where he had seen the young lady.
She was the CEO of the Stones Corporation!
Wasn't it rumored that she had a close relationship with the Stones themselves?
Although it was just a rumor, but it might as well turn out to be true!
*This young lady didn't receive any invitation to the party. She is just a maid after all." Kathleen smirked inwardly.
Wasn't she good with words?
Let's see how she was going to pull herself out of it this time.
"Really?" Quinn smiled brightly.
Kathleen froze a little; why was she smiling?
Horde on his part couldn't hold back his laughter. He gave a light laugh.
He could roughly guess what was happening...
Maybe this young CEO wanted to face slap this arrogant one a little.
He would be obliged to help!
"I was wondering where I had seen you before... Turns out you are CEO Quinn." Horde extended his hand towards Quinn for a handshake, which Quinn accepted graciously.
"I'm flattered, Mr Horde." Quinn smiled.
Kathleen was dumbfounded; what was happening?
"No, you must be mistaken, Mr Horde. Quinn isn't the CEO of any Corporation. She is just a maid!" She desperately tried to explain.
"Are you saying I'm blind?" Horde narrowed his eyes at her.
*No....no! That's not what I meant! I'm just trying to clarify...-"
"Clarify nothing! This lady in front of you, is the CEO of the Stones Corporation!"
"What! No.... That's not true..You must be mistaken..."
Kathleen frantically tried to make sense of it, but she couldn't.
How could a maid become a CEO?
They were acting...
Maybe Horde was the influential man Quinn was sleeping with?
She was sure, that was it!
