Chapter 685: Are You Too Foolish?
Damian froze, frowning as he asked, "What do you mean?"
Only Jasper from the entire Reed family knew about his relationship with Gemma, but it wasn't surprising to him that Tina knew; her intelligence made it easy to uncover certain things. However, what puzzled him was Tina's statement.
Even if Tina could discover his and Gemma's affair, she wouldn't know what kind of person Gemma was, for Gemma had died years ago. How could she possibly understand Gemma's character? With her hands in her pockets, Tina's expression remained unfazed, "You loved her deeply, didn't you know she was a soldier in the special forces?" "What?" Damian was incredulous!
"Gemma joined the special forces at sixteen, completed her education there, and became the youngest and most formidable operative. At the age of twenty, the special forces discovered the GTO was trafficking humans. Given the size of this organization, to prevent the Five Poisons from escaping, they sent her undercover."
"She had to prepare thoroughly to infiltrate the GTO, which required her to take two years off at home to shed any trace of being a special forces member. Since she had loved you from a young age and you never forgot her, she was content to date you for those two years."
Damian was completely overwhelmed; he could hardly believe what he was hearing and looked at Tina, utterly baffled.
"Discovering Jasper was Mr. White was an accident. After she found out, she immediately reported it to her organization. Jasper was trying to capture her, and her organization used the opportunity to have her infiltrate the GTO!" Jasper looked dumbfounded, "How do you know all this so clearly?"
She didn't even know Gemma, and even if she had the capability to find out about her, how could it be so easy to uncover information about an undercover special forces member?
Tina pinched the bridge of her nose, looking at her as if viewing a fool, "I don't know her, yet I know so much. Guess why?"
Damian's mind raced, considering every possibility.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
But after several rejections of his ideas, he suddenly looked up at Tina and stood up excitedly, "You know each other!"
Tina smirked, "Not too stupid, then!" Damian, "..."
You just complimented my intelligence.
Tina: Oh? Did I? Maybe I misspoke then!
Damian grabbed Tina by the arm, his voice trembling, "Then she, she..."
Is she really dead?
No one knew how devastated he was when he learned of Gemma's death. If not for his drive to avenge her, he might have joined her in death.
"She's alive and well!" Tina said, "Her mission is complete, and she's retiring after returning to the squad."
Then, with a fleeting glance at him, Tina added, "Also, stop the foolish acts. The marks you left were discovered by Five Poisons long ago. When Uncle and his men went there, they had already fled."
Initially, Tina involved Damian in her bionic robot project to keep an eye on him and to lure out Five Poisons.
They only realized that Damian was not a traitor but was seeking revenge when Jared found the hideout of Five Poisons, deducing this from the marks left.
This operation was supposed to be foolproof, but because of those marks, Five Poisons escaped again.
She wasn't sure whether to call Damian foolish or just plain stupid.
Damian: "..."
He made those marks to help them locate Five Poisons, not to hinder Tina and her team.
"Enough! I still have to catch that poisonous rat. I came to tell you today to stop your stupid actions, before you end up sacrificing your own life."
Pausing, Tina added, "Five Poisons has kept GTO standing strong; it's not run by fools. Even if you offered the lives of every member of the Reed family, you wouldn't gain their trust. The ones who truly care about you are your parents and your siblings."
Damian lowered his head, "I'm sorry!"

"You should be sorry, but not to me!" Tina said, then turned and walked away.
Just as she reached the door, Damian suddenly remembered something. "The woman I met, she isn't Five Poisons! Her name is Dorothy Russell!"
Damian pursed his lips and added, "She could also be Five Poisons..."
Suddenly agitated, Damian ruffled his hair. "I don't know how to explain it, but Five Poisons is Five Poisons, yet not Five Poisons!"
Tina pinched the bridge of her nose, clearly exasperated.
"The one you met is the girlfriend of Five Poisons, Dorothy Russell, and now also his stand-in," Tina said with a deep look. "You say you're smart? Smart how?" Damian fell silent.
Please, don't be so harsh!
"From what I know, even if Dorothy Russell is caught, she won't reveal the whereabouts of Five Poisons," Damian said. "Having been in touch with her for so long, I find her very elusive. She seems to love Five Poisons, yet she has many men, and she always wears a human skin mask, so her true face is unknown..."
"Not only that, she feels very young, yet she is clearly much older."
Tina smirked, "The real Five Poisons will never see the light of day again."
With that, she left without further delay.
At the border of this country and another state.
In a makeshift operational area, a man nearing fifty stood with his hands behind his back.
The area had just experienced a battle and was now in a state of repair.
At that moment, a man in black approached, "Mr. Pace!"

The man turned and asked, "Speak."
"Your father is safe, and according to our current investigation, it has nothing to do with Jared..." The man in black hesitated, unsure of what to say next.
The man glanced at him and said indifferently, "Out with it."
"I believe this may involve someone from the Pace family," the man in black said.
The man's gaze hardened, and he remained silent for a long while.
After a pause, he finally spoke, "How is that matter progressing?"
"No news yet," the man in black paused, then added, "The woman from back then would be almost forty now, and since you never shared names at the time and haven't returned to the country in many years, it's difficult to locate her just from the portrait you provided."
He felt a pang of regret.
Mr. Pace had a beloved, the only woman in his heart for many years.
Mr. Pace had to leave abruptly due to an urgent mission years ago, without a chance to say goodbye. When he tried to find her after settling his affairs, she was nowhere to be found.
The last known location of the woman was with the Reed family, but beyond that, he knew nothing. Despite their combat skills, their investigative abilities were lacking, especially since they had been stationed at this border for many years and were out of touch with domestic affairs.
By the time they investigated at the Reed family, the woman had already left. Mr. Pace then had a portrait made for them to use in their search.
But who could know, the portrait drawn by our nation's undefeated general was more indescribable than one drawn by a dog.
A few years ago, they received information that the woman had died but left behind a daughter.
Mr. Pace then ordered them to find the daughter, but this proved to be as difficult as waging a war. Based on that portrait, finding the woman's daughter was harder than fighting a battle.
The man furrowed his brow, "Arrange things here, I'm preparing to return to the country!"
To find her, he would have to go himself.
