CHAPTER 19
ELIJAH’S POV
I had to call Hilda for help as I have been searching endlessly for Celeste. It was like she had disappeared from existence, no trace of her or Derrick.
“Thank you for coming again” I thanked the high priestess as we walked down the hall to her room.
“It’s no problem Elijah” She mumbled offering me a small smile which I returned with a nod.
“See you tomorrow” I said and she nodded before opening the door and retracting to her room.
I sighed as she closed the door and my mind once again goes to Celeste as I walk down the hall to my Chamber.
Taking off my clothes and discarding them somewhere, I lay down on my bed with just my boxers and with hopes of finding Celeste, I drift off to sleep.

I have been trying to keep down my growls but it was hard to even the priestess have been trying to use a location spell to track down Celeste’s location for over four fucking hours. I couldn’t stop pacing and Hilda is getting annoyed with me as I could see her eyes twitch whenever I pace around her or growl out when another spell fails.
“You’re distracting me Elijah” She mumbled with her feet crossed as she sat of the floor of my very private study room, the second room that holds the magic mirror used to teleport me to different packs and states.
“I can’t help it” I mumbled back, popping down on one of the arm Chairs in the room. I watch as the candles surrounding the priestess Illuminates her aging face, her brows squeezing together in concentration while she chants.
As I kept on looking at her face, I couldn’t help but remember the promise I made to her, a promise I sure as hell know I would break. I just couldn’t take any chances. Her daughter is dangerous-dangerous and evil, someone I could not let walk on this earth freely. She’s as dangerous as Derrick himself – if not more.
I sigh once more in frustration as yet another piece of Celeste’s hair broke in half from another failed attempt.
“You’re probably doing it wrong” I murmured getting up to my feet and moving towards the magic mirror. She glared at me through the mirror with a scowl plastered on her face.
“No, I’m not doing it wrong” She said offend my words as she wiped the sweat that had formed on her forehead with the sleeve of her blouse. “They have a blocking spell placed on Celeste making it hard to trace her location” She added and by ‘they’ she meant her daughter, another reason why I want to rip her head from her body – just like I did to Celeste’s real mate.
I felt no remorse to what I did that day. That fucker deserved it. He touched my Celeste. He touched what belongs to me and to top it up, he dare to disrespect me, His king before those Alphas. I had to set boundaries, I had to let them know I was not weak for I am King Elijah after all.
I Snap my attention back to Hilda when she hissed out in frustration. “This isn’t working” Said the witch, getting up and pacing around the candles.
“There has to be another way” She whispered thoughtfully, looking at me and I sighed before glancing at the wall, deep in thought.
“What about the bond?” I asked her, giving her a glance from the corner of my eyes.
“It won’t work” she murmured, folding her hands around her chest and slumping down on the arm chair next to mine.
I growl out in frustration, running my hands through my thick brown hair, watching as one of the lit candles burn down the wax then dripping to the wooden floor.
“I Marked her”, I whispered, still staring at the burning candles.
Hilda’s head whipped to the side, her eyes wide as she stare at me. I could feel it even though I wasn’t looking at her.
“You should have told me that from the start” She hisses, coming to stand beside me while I gave her a confused look. She noticed me staring at her, waiting for an explanation and then she sighs while bending down to pick up a small knife and cup.
“You marked her which means you guys are linked together.” She said, taking my palm in her hands and cutting the skin open with the knife while my blood drops into the cup before my wonderful heals.
“But I thought that only happens when we’ve both marked each other?”
“Yes, but you are linked to her which means we can find her because she bears your mark” The priestess mumbled as she entered the cycle made with the candles, the blood placed in the middle while she sat in front of it.
Well that makes sense, I thought while nodding even though her eyes aren’t focused on me.
She started Chanting again and after a few minutes of saying some words she added a drop of my blood to the bowl of water in front of her. The blood started expanding until it looked like a map and my eyes widen. It worked.
The priestess looked up at me and gave me a smile but I was too focused on the glowing part in the water to return it. That is where Celeste’s been held captive.
Hilda took out a plain sheet of white paper and Carefully placed it on the bowl. The blooded map immediately stick to the paper. I watched her carefully take the wet map and place it on the desk, she slide her right hand across the map and it dried up.
I moved closer to her as we both stood side by side staring at the map. There are two glowing parts on the map, one which I’m guessing is me and the other, Celeste. Hilda pointed that out which proved that I was right.
I escorted Hilda back to her room as it was getting late, we both had our dinner after the location spell was successful.
“Don’t forget your promise Elijah” She murmurs when we got to the wing she was staying in. I nodded in response and she gave me a tight lip smile.
Fuck, I’m almost reconsidering killing her daughter but it can’t. I know I’ll be betraying her and her trust but it’s a risk I have to take.
Puffing out a breath, I waited till her room door was closed before making my way out of the wing.
‘Williams, the throne room. Now’ I mind link my most trusted solider and he responded with a yes sire.
I waited patiently in the throne room, Pacing around with my hands folded behind my back. The door to the room opened and Williams walked in.
“Sire” He uttered and I nodded in acknowledgement. I stayed mute for a few minutes, gathering my thoughts. I have to plan this through, I can only trust a few people with the information for a feeling like there is a spy amongst the people in this palace. I can’t also let the new of Celeste missing get to the media, it would cause a havoc in the kingdom.
“Gather sixty trusted solider, the whereabouts of Celeste has been discovered” I Murmured pacing in front of the man.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Only share this information with those soldiers, and make sure word does not get past all sixty two of us..” I said now standing in front of him. “… Especially Cedric” I added in a whisper.
I believe that Williams got the message as he left to do what he was told. I retreat to my room to rest but anticipating the outcome of tomorrow.
Before drifting off to sleep, I prayed to the goddess that she keeps Celeste safe and hopefully when I find her, she forgives me.
