Into Darkness

Chapter 19

Chapter 19

We all got up from our seats and I hurriedly grabbed my crutches and gun.

When we got out, there was people running around everywhere.

I could only see three zombies and started shooting the one closest to us.

Lucky had also grabbed his gun and sewers both firing like crazy.

When the zombie finally came up to us, his head fell off from all the bullets that had passed through.

"Hell yeah" I yelled and gave Lucky a quick high five.

"Really?" Tate asked, an incredulous look on his face. I shrugged and looked around for the other two

zombies.

One of them were already dead, but the other one was reaching for an unarmed kid.

Lucky and Tate ran closer and started to shoot it, Lucky had managed to get his hands on a big ass

knife and stuck it in the Zombies throat.

I grimaced when the dark blood went everywhere, in both Tate and Lucky's faces included.

Tate kept pushing the knife in and after another few seconds he punched the head off.

"ALL ZOMBIES ARE DEAD, YOU CAN CALM DOWN" Someone yelled and I took a deep breath out of

relief.

Lucky and Tate started to walk back to me, they were both drenched in blood from head to toe.

"A hug?" Lucky asked jokingly, opening his arms for a hug.

I wrinkled my nose and laughed. "I think I'll pass"

"I think there's showers in the airport... We should probably get ourselves cleaned up" Tate said,

gesturing toward the airport.

Lucky nodded and they started to walk towards the truck to get some soap and new clothes.

I slowly made my way towards the dead zombie and looked down at it with a grimace.

Blood was still sipping out of the neck and I almost threw up again.

"We should get rid off it" I said to some guy, who was also looking at it. He nodded and got a friend to

help him.

I left since I couldn't carry it with my leg.

Someone else had carried the zombie next to our tent away and the last zombie.

Luckily we seemed to be fine now, but I wondered how the heck they could come so long into the Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

camp, with all the guards we had.

All the thinking was making my headache come back, so I decided to forget it and head back to our

tent.

I got in and saw that Loren, Lou, Tyson and Oliver were all sat there.

"Where's Kylie and Colton?" I asked Tyson, trying to ignore Lou's smug look.

"I don't know" He shrugged and I rolled my eyes, sitting down on my sleeping bag, which unfortunately

was just next to Lou's.

We talked for a while and after a few minutes Loren seemed to notice that Lou and I weren't talking to

each other.

"Has something happened between you two?" She asked with her brow raised, probably expecting us

to laugh and shake our heads.

When neither of us did so, her eyes widened and she glared at Lou.

"What did you do?" She asked him angrily and I felt a smirk tug at the side of my lips.

"Yeah Lucas, tell her" I viscously added.

He glared at me and even though I was smirking, I felt my insides explode and burn.

"It's nothing" He muttered quietly and I laughed emotionlessly.

"It's nothing, really? C'mon Lucas, tell her" I could see that he was annoyed by me calling him Lucas

instead of Lou and it felt really nice that I was pissing him off.

"What. Did. You. Do?" Loren's glare was ice cold and was actually scaring me.

"I told her that I only hung out with her to get laid" He finally said, his eyes empty of emotion and he

was staring right at the wall.

"YOU WHAT?!" Both Oliver, Loren and Tyson yelled at the same time.

"What the f*ck, mate? I thought she was your friend" Tyson said, his eyes wide.

Oliver's haw hung open and in his eyes were pure anger.

I was expecting him to yell at him, but instead he did something I never would have thought of.

He punched him square in the face.

Lou groaned out of pain and held his hand over his jaw, where Oliver had hit him.

"I would be mad at Oliver for punching you, but I think you deserved that" Loren said, her face still filled

with chock.

Lou looked betrayed and I scoffed, he felt betrayed? What a hypocrite.

I was almost expecting an apology but instead he just got up and mumbled something about getting

some ice.

"I'm so sorry Raven" Loren said, her eyes filled with sympathy and sorrow.

"It's alright, I guess I just wasn't expecting it from him, ya know?" I shrugged my shoulders and gave

Loren a hug, to assure her that I was fine.

Oliver was cussing about what a dick he was, when Lucky and Tate came into the tent.

"What did we miss?" Lucky asked, his hair still wet from the shower.

"Oliver punched Lou in the face" Loren had a cold smile on her lips and looked down at her hands.

"What?" Lucky's eyes shot open in chock and he turned to me, his eyes asking me if it was because of

earlier events and I confirmed by nodding.

He got into the tent and sat down next to me, putting an arm around my shoulder and pulling him closer

to him.

I closer my eyes and rested my head on his shoulder, feeling the familiar scent of mint and forest.

"Just forget about him" Lucky whispered so quietly that only I could hear and I nodded, smiling weakly.

"Thanks" The words were almost to quiet to be heard but Lucky seemed to hear.

"For what?" I could feel his head turn, probably to look at me and I sighed tiredly.

"For being you"

I wasn't sure if he heard, but I was too tired to care and I fell asleep against his shoulder a few seconds

later.
