Chapter 1440 Moral blackmail

Yeah, why couldn’t she make up her mind?

When she rejected Paul, she did it without hesitation, so firm and decisive. Why was she hesitating with Jayden?

She pondered for a long time, but couldn’t figure it out. Then Amelia enlightened her, “Sometimes I get morally blackmailed and can’t make up my mind.”

Eva suddenly looked up, “Yeah, cutting wrists, suicide,

kneeling down, aren’t those considered moral blackmail? But

Jayden doesn’t seem like the kind of person who would do those things.”

Amelia couldn’t just rely on her feelings and assume that

Jayden was morally blackmailing Eva, so she changed her question, “What are you going to do after that?”

Eva responded without any hesitation, “When Jayden gets fed up with his mother’s nagging, he will compromise…”

Eva was telling the truth. If it were the woman, maybe the parents couldn’t break them up, but with the man, it’s not certain. Since she can’t refuse now, she’ll just go along with it

for now.

After chatting with Eva for a while, Amelia remembered that James was waiting outside, “You rest well at home, I’ll come see you after I finish taking Grace tomorrow.”

Eva got up to see her off and asked, “Is Grace okay?”

Amelia replied, “She’s fine. When Jocelyn tried to snatch Grace, James arrived just in time.”

Knowing that James was there, Eva knew that everything would be handled, so she nodded and said, “That’s good. I’ll accompany you to court on that day.”

Amelia agreed, then got into the car and waved goodbye to Eva before turning her attention to the man beside her, “Are you tired of waiting for so long?”

James put down his phone, picked up Amelia, and let her sit on his lap, “Did Miss Miller and Mr. Sherwood break up?”

“Huh?”

Amelia hooked her fingers around his neck and asked suspiciously, “You never used to care about these things, why are you so interested this time?”

James’s expression was calm, showing little emotion, “I was just asking casually. It’s okay if you don’t want to say.” But he

could find out anyway.

Amelia pinched his cheek, “Since my husband is so nosy, I’ll tell you. Eva and Jayden didn’t break up.”

James’s eyes darkened, as if waiting for something, growing

impatient. He said in a low voice, “Miss Miller has a good ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

temper.”

Amelia didn’t understand the meaning behind his words and thought he was praising Eva, “Of course, Eva has always been known for her good temper.”

James smiled and remained silent. Amelia left for three years, during which Paul’s neck and arms were often scratched by Eva. Is that considered a good temper?
