Chapter 17 The Douchebags

Margaret opened the tap and let the water gush out of its mouth.

She splashed some cold water on her face, but the heat in Margaret remained undissipated - not even

a little bit.

This was just like four years ago...

Thinking of what happened then, Margaret felt dizzy.

Was she going to experience once again the same despair that she went through four years ago?

Margaret bit her lip hard and tried to suppress the heat within her.

Her body felt so weak. She could only support herself against the wall to walk out of the room.

"Margaret." As soon as she left, she heard someone calling her. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Margaret frowned and raised her head. She saw Zachary, the douchebag who was all dressed up like a

gentleman, standing there.

"I saw you in the private room just now." Zachary stared at her as he said.

"And?" Margaret shot back, raising her eyebrows.

Zachary was a little embarrassed to be interrogated. "Don't you have anything to say to me?" He asked

her back.

"I do." She replied.

"What is it?" Zachary's eyes flashed a hint of wicked pride.

Sure enough, after all these years, this girl was still thinking about him.

"Please don't block my way, I have things to do." Margaret said while gritting her teeth.

"Why does this person keep on approaching me like a mangy dog? He's in the way." Margaret thought.

Zachary didn't expect that this was what Margaret wanted to say.

He touched his nose awkwardly and said, "Margaret, I guess you've become a sugarbaby for money. If

you have financial difficulties, just let Stephanie and I know. We will help you."

"Are you getting out of the way or not?" Margaret's throat was dry and uncomfortable. She started to

shout at Zachary.

"You still blame us, right? I know that it is unfair to you, but Stephanie and I truly love each other. I will

compensate you, and so will Stephanie. If you have any problems, just tell us. Don't do such things to

harm yourself again." Zachary continued.

His words felt like flies flying around Margaret's ear.

Margaret was really uncomfortable at this point. She felt as if she was stepping on cotton.

"Thank you to you and your entire family..." Margaret replied while looking at Zachary sarcastically. "...

but I'm doing fine. I don't need your sympathy just yet."

"Margaret, do you have to talk like this?" Zachary frowned and was a little unhappy. "Stephanie is a

very kind girl. She felt guilty and wanted to help you after you left for so many years." He explained.

"What can she do to help me? By taking away my identity, and using my resources to help me?

Zachary, it's been a minute and you've already gotten so great at telling jokes." Margaret snapped at

him.

"Don't talk nonsense, Margaret. If this rumor of yours gets out, it will damage Stephanie's reputation."

Zachary stopped her anxiously.

One really shouldn't argue too much with a fool.

Why would she waste time on an idiot?

While Zachary was not paying attention, Margaret walked past him, only to see Stephanie standing

around the corner. "Margaret, it's been a long time since I last saw you. I've been worried about you."

Stephanie said.

Margaret suppressed the weird feeling in her body and asked, "Are you worried that I didn't die in the

Milesburg?"

"What are you talking about, Margaret? Are you still blaming me for what happened?" Stephanie's face

was full of tears. She looked miserable.

Margaret rolled her eyes. Stephanie really lived up to her reputation as an actress in the entertainment

circle. She was good at acting and could easily drop a few crocodile tears whenever she wanted.

"Don't block my way, you douchebag." Margaret said coldly.

"Margaret, even if you don't want to forgive me, I still want you to know that if you ever want to come

back to the Simons family, you are welcome to at any time. As for Dad, I will help beg for his

forgiveness."

Margaret smiled coldly when she heard the last sentence.

Her biological father didn't believe her, so he drove her out of the house. Through all these years, if it

weren't for that person, she might have already died on foreign soil.
