Chapter 0079
At first, the kiss started off, easy, half assed; if you'd asked the pretty brunette Amara has smashed her lips against.
And that exactly what it was meant to be. This action was just a way to show Tobias that he wasn't a fucking God, he wasn't all that hot stuff, thinking he could control her life in any way he pleased, telling her who she should ans shouldn't meet, and that she, was long done listening to his sick orders. However, somewhere along the lines, things shifted and the kiss turned into something deeper, more intimate.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
The brunette had gotten over his shock and was kissing her back, holding her close. He seemed to have understood the situation faster than Amara liked. Although she didn't like the fact that he was sticking his damn tongue down her throat, she had no plans of backing out. Because, even with her eyes closed, she could feel Tobias's eyes burning a hole at the back of her head.
She could feel the intensity of his gaze, could hear the low growl emanating from his chest.
And soon, she heard the sound of his footsteps storming away. But she didn't pull away just immediately. For good measures, she allowed the kiss go on for about a minute more, before pushing the stranger away.
She pulled away in time to watch Tobias's back round the corner. Seeing the familiar back she was always used to seeing, Amara felt something tug in her chest. Guilt?
Her thoughts were interrupted before she process any further.
"Do you usually go around kissing strangers?" The brunette's question was light, but Amara could detect the flirtatious undertone in his words.
She turned her head to look at him and smiled, scanning him briefly from head to toe.
He was a tall and handsome with Hazel green eyes that oddly went well with the brown shade of his hair.
In a weird way, his beauty made him seem like some hot shot model, to Amara.
"Ugly ones, no." She answered his question and he laughed. "Cute ones, only when I'm feeling extra generous."
"I'll take that as a compliment."
Amara wiped her lips with the back of her hand. "Don't."
The brunette feigned hurt, placing his hand over his chest. "How heartless. Are you just going to throw me away after using me? Not even a decent compliment?" Perhaps it was the thick Italian accent mixed with his well acted farce of hurt, or just her bloody accursed heart, but Amara actually found herself feeling guilty.
It only took a second before she sighed. "I can pay you, if that's what you want?"
The stranger gave her a look that said, 'Do I really look that cheap?' and Amara felt the urge to smack her forehead.
"I didn't mean it like that. What I meant was...I...I"
Why was it so damn hard to handle one stranger? She screamed internally, closed her eyes and sighed once again.
When her eyes came open, the stranger was still watching her, waiting for an answer. That she didn't have. "Look," She began. "I'm not the type of Lady you want to mess with." "And who said I wanted to mess with you?" He countered and Amara found herself tipping near annoyance.
But it was the good kind and she smiled, straighten up her posture as she stared at him. "Then, what is it you want? You must obviously want something if not money."
The stranger hummed for a few seconds. "A night with you perhaps." He answered.
Amara was silent for a few seconds before shaking her head. "That's a waste. Picking a woman like me over a huge sum of money, you're surely going to regret it."
He didn't need to ask Amara to repeat that sentence to tell how hurt she sounded.
"Then, how about you be my girlfriend for a day?"
The sudden question caught Amara off guard. But before she even had the chance to speak, the brunette had beat her to the punch.
"I think it's meant to be the other way around," He smiled and stepped forward, granting Amara the grace to sniff the scent of his cologne. "I'll be your boyfriend today, free of charge. It's only fair you finished what you started." "But...wait, that's-" Once again, she was interrupted.
"It's a deal then." He grabbed her hand, gently and began pulling her towards where she suspected was the direction of his car.
Amara wanted to speak, tell him that this could be considered kidnapping, but the curious part of her got the better of her.
She wanted to see where this would go. And honestly, she kind of needed a break from her world.
Two long hours later, Amara found herself standing in front of the gates of Bloomsbury.
Slight fear sank into her as she soon realized what this stranger had brought her here to do.
"No," She took a step back, but he took three steps towards and then behind her, gently moving her through the gates.
"Come on, don't tell me your scared?" He said, chuckling lightly.
"Only insane people won't be scared of bungee jumping. I'm sane, so I have every right to be scared."
"But there's nothing to be scared of. I'll be beside you every step of the way."
"You're not a certified bungee jumper, are you?"
"No," He admitted, leading her inside. "But I've jumped countless times, so there's no need to worry."
"Easy for you to say," Amara grumbled, feeling the butterflies in her stomach doing somersaults.
This definitely wasn't looking like a fun way to 'get out of her world'.
