His Cure

Did he heard anything?

Beatrice scoffs but it came out as a chuckle instead.

He did that?

Maybe it was to make their dating more believable.

“He was.. so sweet when he said that. Oh my God, you’ve got yourself a charming man, ma’am. And, now, he is my dream man. I wish to get a man like him as a boyfriend.”

Beatrice nipped at her bottom lip before rolling her eyes.

“Just pray for yours not mine. Yours might be even more caring than him. Don’t always ask for a blessing like others own but just yours.”she advised.

Megan nodded before resuming her work.

“So, what’s up with that?. Did anyone already told him about me?”Beatrice inquired, curiously.

“Uhh, not yet. Well, I don’t know. But I was hoping to get a word out of you today so I can go tell him and get my salary doubled up.”Megan giggled excitedly.

A smile crept up on Beatrice’s lips.

Well.. that sounds fvcking fun.

“Uhm.. how about I give you a teaser?”she laughs.

“I would like that, ma’am.”Megan face flushed up in excitement.

“Uhmm.. I don’t know if the right word for this is a teaser and well, I pray he doesn’t beheads you when you tell him what I’m about to tell you.”she chuckled.

Megan narrowed her gaze.

“Uhh.. well, what’s that though?.”

“A car. I want a car. Latest Lamborghini.”she chuckled, not really meaning those words.

Megan gasps and grinned.

“Maybe you don’t know but, your boyfriend is crazily rich so what a piece of cake that would be. It isn’t something one could get beheaded for.”she chuckled.

Beatrice scoffs.

“How about I tell you a little about me too?”

“Jeez, I guess I’m so fortunate today.”

“Oh – oh, not too fast, miss. We are friends now so we should know more about each other, shouldn’t we?. What I’m about to tell you is not something you could go tell Gregory.”

Megan breathed out.

“Okay. Let start with me first. I’m twenty – two. I’ve had three boyfriends, they are my ex now though. I’m a cleaner, I sometimes help the cook in preparing some side dishes. I dropped out of college in my fourth year in the first session. I was studying for law back then. But, now, all I want is just to go take up a top – notch cooking classes and that’s what I have been saving up for.”

Beatrice nodded and smiled.

“Lawyer Meggie. By the way, why do you want to suddenly become a cook?”

“Uhh.. well, because great chefs get paid pretty well. Who knows, I could end up as someone’s private chef in the future and he would be a man then he would fall in love with, oh my.. “she cupped her cheeks.

Beatrice couldn’t hold in her laughter anymore as she bursted into a hysterical one.

“Lawyers do enjoy good services too, you know. And, oh, I see you must be a lover of web novels.”

“Of course, I just suddenly lost interest in that after quitting and ooh, heck yeah! Beatrice Nolan is my favorite author.”

Beatrice’s mouth twitched.

“Do you know my name?”she squints her eyes.

“I think.. Beatrice?”Megan slowly called.

“Hmm.”Beatrice nod.

“And, I am a writer.”

Megan stared out at her in confusion and as Beatrice bit her down with her hard gaze, her eyes rose up in surprise and she gasps.

“You’re Beatrice Nolan?!”

“Oh, my God!! I knew it! I knew it! I knew that someone that was creating such wonderful romance stories would have a sweet life! Awwnn. Mr Gregory is just like those men you normally write about in your stories and uggh.. you writers are indeed lucky.”she squealed.

Beatrice scoffs.

Lucky her foot.

But she just smiled at her.

“I’m a huge fan of yours, ma’am! Can I get an autograph?”she scoured her eyes around for a paper and pen to use.

“Pfft! I am not going anywhere, baby girl. So, you can always get that some other time.”Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

“Geez.. I can’t believe I’m now friends with you.. oh jeezz. By the way, you said you were quitting, why?”Megan’s face turned gloomy.

Beatrice puckered her lips before stretching them again.

“That’s where this story comes in. Sit down.”she sat down and tapped the space beside her.

Megan took her seat and looked at her keenly in anticipation.

“I.. I did because of a personal reason but I am an exclusive writer now.. for Gregory.”

Megan eyes lits up in curiosity.

“Ex.. clusive writer?. Why does he needs that?”she furrowed her brows then gave her nose a gentle poke.

“I.. he told me.. well, he was a fan of my stories too and he told me that somehow, that always heals him. So, he is reading my stories like a sort of a medication. When I said I was signing off, he proposed an offer to me which was to be his exclusive writer.”Beatrice expounds.

Megan started to grin from ear to ear.

“So, he was also your fan?. I wish I had caught on to that pretty soon before he moved out then maybe he would have fell for me after knowing we are both avid readers having the same favorite author.”she covered her face with her palms.

Beatrice sneered at her before she cachinnates.

“That’s.. awesome. So you only write for him and then from there he fell for you?”Megan grinned.

Beatrice paused.

If she tells her that it is like that, she wouldn’t believe there marriage then since she knows they only got to know each other about a week or so.

“Before that, we’ve had something.”she covered up, hoping Megan wouldn’t think too much to her words.

Megan nodded vigorously with a big smile.

Just then, a sound came from the door and Beatrice’s eyes shot up at it.

“Who is there?”she asks.

But she got no response.

She frowned but suddenly her eyes widened.

Gregory is the only arrogant freak that would hear a question and not answer.

She took a deep breath in.

“Should I go check?”Megan asked.

“Huh?, no. If that person cannot identity who they are, I don’t see the need to open the door for them.”

Megan nodded a little too quick.

“Beatrice?”Gregory’s voice came.

Megan sprang up with a gasp.

She packed the oils back in the basket.

Beatrice heart palpitates in fright.

Did he heard anything?
