Chapter 225 Marrying The Wrong Man

Lysander repeated her thoughts to Daphne.

When Daphne first heard Josiah’s name, her expression imhediately shifted.

But when Lysander finished explaining the plan, Daphne’s brow, knotted like a hemp rope, instantly

relaxed.

Daphne patted her chest. “All right, leave this matter to me.”

“Don’t rush. To get this thing done, the most important thing is–we have to make Priscilla give up.”

After work, Lysander got in touch with Priscilla.

The two arranged to meet at a café near the hospital after work.

But even when Priscilla was sitting across from her, Lysander still couldn’t recognize her.

This emaciated, pale woman in front of me… Is she the cherished daughter that Dr. Ziegler raised with his own hands?

Due to her pregnancy, Priscilla was wearing a large dress, which draped over her body like a huge sack.

She was really too thin, which made her stomach look exceptionally large.

Even though it had only been four months, and even if she was carrying twins, her belly wouldn’t be this big.

Priscilla seemed to know that her current image wasn’t looking too good, so she felt somewhat self- conscious as she greeted Lysander, “Hi, Lysander.”

Her voice was even hoarse.

It sounded as if she had just been crying.

Lysander quickly called the waiter over, first serving her a cup of warm water.

“Priscilla, how did you end up like this?”

Priscilla seemed to have become somewhat numb and spoke slowly. “Arguing all day, every minute, every second. I’m tired.”

“With your

mother–in–law?” Lysander asked.

“And his three aunts, and his niece.

Lysander listened and was shocked. “Where exactly are you living now?”

The house in his hometown.”

“Over at Purdina?”

Lysander’s heart sank. “Does your dad know?”

“I wouldn’t dare letting him know. My dad is getting old. Lysander, as you know, my mom passed away early. My dad raised me alone, acting as both a father and a mother. If he sees me in my current state, he will go crazy.”

When Priscilla said these words, her expression was very calm.

She was like a slave who had been oppressed to the point of losing her soul, a walking dead who had become numb to both pain and curses.

“Lysander, could you please not tell my dad that you met me today?”

Lysander asked with a heavy heart, “So, until when do you plan to keep this a secret?”

“I really don’t know, I will hide it for as long as I can.” Priscilla gave a bitter smile. “Lysander, actually even if you didn’t look for me, I would have come to find you. I have a favor to ask of you.”

“Tell me.”

“Could you help me to go… together with my child when I go into labor?”

“Are you crazy?” Lysander quickly grabbed her thin hand and anxiously said, “Priscilla, calm down first. Explain to me why they sent you to live in the countryside, and why have you become so thin?” Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Priscilla slowly raised her eyes.

Lysander watched her expression, observing her gaze shift from blankness to helplessness, and finally to despair. Regardless of how others looked at her, she sobbed uncontrollably in Lysander’s arms.

Judging by Priscilla’s demeanor, it seemed that she would need more time to talk things out..

Lysander booked a room at a nearby hotel, hailed a cab, and took Priscilla to the hotel.
