Chapter 53 A new face
Elle shrugged and then she walked out. She smiled when she remembered earlier.
It was obvious he still didn't like Giselle. She smiled again and then walked to her car. She hopped in and just as she started the car, she remembered something.
"Tomorrow is her birthday. Her real birthday. Her birthday as Asanel.."
Suddenly a memory of how she celebrated her birthday with her parents flashed in her head and the tears came pouring down again. Her hands tightened on the sterling as she remembered the fire and her mum's last words. It was just to save herself and her baby.
"Mum, Dad.." She bent her head on the sterling and wept bitterly.
It's been seven years but the pain is still fresh. Anytime she remembers it, it felt like her heart was ripping apart.
She stopped crying and then wiped her tears.
Her phone rang and she immediately picked it up without checking who was calling.
"Hey babe.." Tyson called and she rolled her eyes.
"You left already.."
"Yeah.." She replied.
"Seriously, we don't even have the time to go out on dates again. Why?' He asked and Elle gave it a thought.
She should stop neglecting Tyson cause he was still useful to her. He will be the one to help her in everything.
"Hm, I'm sorry. I've just been busy lately but we can go out this evening or night.." Elle said.
"I won't be chanced this evening but we can go clubbing this night.." He said and Elle sighed.
"Fine then.." He replied.
"Bye, love you.."
"Same here.." Elle said and hung up.
She scoffed.
"He possibly doesn't expect me to say I love you to him.."
Elle then dalied Damien's number but it was still the same. He didn't answer the call.
"I really hope he's okay. And I have to go see Langford this night. Maybe after I'm done with Tyson before that.." She said and then drove off. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

SENATORIAL RESIDENCE.
Damien got down from the car. Guards were hovering around like bees. As soon as he got to the entrance of the mansion, the guards stopped him and scanned making sure he wasn't with anything harmful at all.
"Go in.." One of them said and opened the door for him and he walked in.
As soon as he got in, his eyes scanned everywhere.
"Son!" A voice called and he looked up to see his father standing upstairs, staring down at him from there.
Damien sighed and then Leo proceeded downstairs.
"Son.." He called again when he got closer and made to hug him but Damien moved backwards.
"Let's not act like we are close. It won't work.." Damien said coldly and Leo sighed.
"Just what can I do that will make you forgive me Damien? What can I do?" Leo asked in a broken voice.
Damien laughed coldly and looked away. Then he faced him.
"Find mum. Find her and bring her back and send that stupid mistress of yours away!" He yelled angrily and Leo sighed.
"Son.." Leo called.
"I told you never to call me that again!" Damien yelled at him.
Leo sighed again.
"Your mum left us of her own free will. She left me when I started pursuing politics.."
"That's because you changed. You started smoking, drinking and worse you cheated on her with numerous women. When you became a mayor, you would hardly come home.."
"Mum became depressed. She left because of that. She just left a note and ever since I was eight, I never saw mum again. Mum never showed up again.." He said in a pained voice.
"But I became a father to you. I filled up the void your mother created.."
Damien scoffed and glared at him coldly.
"You never did so. You never came home. I had to be by myself until when I was sixteen. You decided to send me to Austraila, leaving me alone again.."
Leo sighed and held his shoulders.
"I gave you everything you wanted, a mansion, money. Everything!"
"But you never gave me a home, nor your time, not even your love. All you cared about was your political ambitions. Do you even I know I was bullied in school while being in Austalia, dejectedly, I ran out of class that day and got hit by a car. I had a very fatal accident. Did you know about that?!" Damien yelled at him angrily and Leo's eyes widened. His lips trembled.
"I called your school.."
"That was two weeks later, I told them to tell you I was sick and it was just a minor one. You even promised to visit but what happened? You couldn't. You couldn't come because of a very important conference!" Damien talked and Leo's eyes became teary.
"I'm sorry. I'm really so sorry.." Leo said.
"If I hadn't met my savour, she saved me from dying. She took me to the hospital and cared for me. Her and her daughter. It was through her that I met someone special to me.."
"At least I've been doing great nowadays.." Damien said and Leo sighed. He cleaned up his tears with his thumb.
Damien sniffed.
"The reason that actually brought me here is this simple question. Do you know James Madison? Are you so close?" Damien asked and Leo looked at him shocked.
"What?" He mumbled while Damien stared at him.
"I'm waiting for answer. Do you know James Madison?" Damien asked again. Leo clenched his fists angrily and forced out a smile.
"I do.." He responded.
"How?' Damien asked further and Leo bit his lips.
"How did he know?" He wondered.
"I have been keeping this away from my son because I want to keep him safe but then who would take over my legacy when I'm done. Should I come clean to him and introduce my business to him?" He wondered and looked at Damien who was still staring at him coldly.

Wellington International Airport.
She walked out of the airport smiling. The wind blew her hair away and it got stuck on her face. She smiled cutely and moved it way. Then she removed her sunglasses revealing her very pretty babyish face.
"Aaah, I'm finally back to stay for good. I'm really back for good.." She giggled like a child and then brought out her phone.
"Should I inform Jason first or should I give him a surprise?" She asked and then smiled again.
"I'll give him a surprise and spank him for forgetting me and not even calling me. How could he forget me? His pretty queen.." She chuckled.
"I love you Jason.." She giggled and then entered the car.
