“You still can’t make up your mind?” asked Brina with a sigh that I don’t know how many times she had done. Almost the entire contents of Giselle’s closet were in disarray just to decide on the right dress to accompany Justin to the gala dinner.
“I’m confused,” Giselle sighed resignedly. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she ruffled her hair in half frustration. “Some of the endorse brands that gifted me dresses, have you taken them out?”
“Already.” Brina shook her head in surprise. “You want to take my advice?”
Giselle’s eyes, which had been staring at her toes, lifted slowly. Although they did not yet reflect the excitement of Brina’s offer, at least she had hope. Her confusion had an answer.
“As a professional model, you need to be able to hone your sense of color and the cut of the clothes you’re going to wear.”
The words just now made Giselle straighten her back. It seemed like Giselle had forgotten the part that Brina was a person who knew quite a bit about fashion.
“What does Nico often say to you?”
Giselle tried to remember what her style coach used to say. “Emphasize my neck which is much more attractive than my chest?” Actually, she was a bit hesitant too, but that was what was going through her head.
“Anything else?”
Giselle’s memory was not very good because the training session with Nico and Brina was extraordinarily hard. There were so many things they said that had to be remembered, although some were important, but that was because Giselle was new to the world she was living in.
“Um… waistline?”
Brina chuckled. She picked up one of the turquoise dresses made of silk that was both soft and luxurious. As usual, the cut of the chest was low and definitely accentuated Giselle’s beautiful body. The crystal-based beadwork was hand-sewn to have a precision that was beautiful to look at. It is also the sparkle that makes anyone when looking at it, do not want to let go quickly. On the sleeves, it is made to resemble blossoming petals. Adding a sweet impression to the dress that Giselle will wear.
“You must be charming in this.” Brina picked up the clothes hanger. “I’ll find something suitable for accessories if you like my choice.”
Giselle’s smile grew wide. “Though I don’t think it will suit me and the theme of tonight’s gala dinner.”
Brina rolled her eyes in annoyance. “If it doesn’t fit the theme, remember one thing. You’re the star there. There’s no way they’ll give you a weird look. Instead, you’re the center of attention.”
The remark clearly made Giselle laugh but the clothes hanger, she happily accepted. There was also one message that Brina immediately responded to with a long dumpling. “Do my hair, too. It’s too bad I can’t cut a little of my long hair, Brina. I surrender myself to you tonight.”
“What a disaster for me to come here, Giselle!”
Inevitably, the remark made Giselle laugh while closing the toilet door. Before long, she was ready to put on her makeup and some additional accessories. What Brina had chosen for her added to the beauty of what Giselle had.
“You’re really something I can count on.” Giselle once again turned her body in front of the mirror. making sure there was nothing missing in her appearance tonight. it was not without reason that she wanted to look her best even if it was just an SEO business meeting like the previous nights.
He wanted to thank Justin for listening to his complaints about Yunesha. The last day before the job was completed was a pleasant one. The shoot went very smoothly and Yunesha’s owner didn’t argue and organize as much as before. Even so, Giselle still had to redo a photoshoot that wasn’t quite right due to Theo’s interference.
It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s not pestered according to Giselle, it’s much faster to finish.
“Justin told me it’s at the lobby. He’ll probably be in front of your unit in five minutes.” Brina seemed satisfied with her choice. “Have fun, Giselle. Remember my message, avoid chocolate. You’re already cheating too much.”
“When did I do that?” asked Giselle with a shocked look on her face. She did not expect to be exposed to unwarranted accusations from Brina. Even though she complied with everything Brina asked including reducing the entry of chocolate snacks into the mouth.
“You think I don’t know what Justin gives you when you visit his office? Even though I have other things to do outside the office, my eyes and ears are all over SEO.”
Giselle kept her mouth shut. Feeling guilty but the one who prepared it was Justin anyway. So if Brina wanted to scold her, wouldn’t it be better if Justin got hit first? At that moment, the bell in her unit rang quite loudly.
Giselle blinked softly. “Justin is here.” She hurriedly grabbed the handbag she had prepared earlier. “I’ll go first, Brina. If you don’t want to stay the night, you can take the key with you. I have a spare key.”
Brina just nodded while giving a thumbs up.
“Thank you for your help too. I’ll remember about the chocolate but can’t promise to refrain.”
Brina growled in annoyance. “Giselle!”
The sound of laughter that came out of Giselle’s mouth at the end of their conversation, also greeted Justin who, as soon as Giselle opened the door, was already standing proudly. Complete with a faint smile that somehow… always managed to make Giselle blush.
“You’re beautiful as ever, Giselle,” Justin said as he reached out. And as their hands touched, he gave the back of Giselle’s hand a peck. “A real man will treat his woman gently.”
Giselle just smiled, even though her heart was not beating properly.
“I hope that someday, you will meet that man. I’m just setting an example.”
Giselle’s smile began to fade.
“Are you ready?” asked Justin without noticing the rapid change in Giselle’s expression. Not wanting to linger on the disappointment, wasn’t it better to enjoy the time between them? When Giselle grabbed Justin’s arm, he didn’t meet any resistance. Instead, she was free to cling to him as if Justin was a loving partner.
Occasionally, they talk about their current jobs. But Giselle does most of the talking; complaining, laughing about meeting new friends, working under a new brand, or still marveling at how many fans she has. Not to mention the attitude of the fans that sometimes scares her. Meanwhile, as a good listener, Justin sometimes gives advice and occasionally, Giselle’s hair, which is only given a pearl clip, is gently stroked.
Justin’s attitude was one that Giselle couldn’t resist. At all.
“Before we leave for the location,” Justin elaborated a little on their closeness. “I want you to know the situation we’ll be in.”
Giselle’s brow furrowed deeply. “What does that mean?”
Justin chuckled at the frown on Giselle’s forehead. “There’s no need to try so hard to think. You just have to put on the face that I’m branding you with.”
“I understand that, Justin. But why should I be briefed on the situation? Will it make trouble if I don’t know?”
Justin smiled softly. “No, no, no. I’ll get rid of any trouble that comes your way.”
“So?” Giselle gave Justin a quizzical look.
“This gala dinner will be attended by many famous media owners. Everyone will want to fight over you as the main topic. I know what you can do, I trust you. It’s just that… there’s one person I’m wary of.”Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
Giselle didn’t speak. She waited for Justin to tell her who he needed to avoid.
“Collage Media Owner; Andrew Kingston.”
“Okay, I’ll remember that name.” Giselle kept that name in her heart tightly. Not to remember it, but to avoid getting herself into more trouble. Even Justin could concentrate on taking care of other work. It wasn’t just him who was constantly being taken care of. Giselle knew that SEO Fashion had to keep going.
Don’t let the good image he has built, suddenly collapse because of his wrong actions. Also… his past is revealed.
“Maybe that guy just wants the money from the tons of gossip that his subordinates can gather, but one thing I haven’t known for a long time and this is enough to worry me.”
“I thought I just needed to avoid him?” Giselle looked back at Justin.
“Andrew is close to Jilly.” Justin chuckled. “Fucking coincidence, right?”
