Chapter 117 Norah Stabbed Lilian
"What are you doing here?"
Seeing him, Norah was suddenly shocked.
Seeing him, Norah was shocked.
For whatever reason, she didn't want to see him at all right now.
"Why are you here?" Norah asked again.
Shawn ran over to her and hugged her tightly, but Norah reached out to push him away without a
second thought.
Shawn hugged her tightly, but this time Norah lowered her head and bit Shawn's arm without
hesitation.
Norah used almost all of her strength to bite his arm.
Just the thought of what she had gone through yesterday, of losing her baby, made her unable to
control her hatred.
Soon blood was seeping through the white shirt on Shawn's arm and Norah raised her head and stared
at him with indignation, "Let go of me.
"I'm sorry, Norah. I'm sorry I'm late. I misunderstood you. I didn't know you were really in a car
accident..."
"Cut the crap!" Norah cut him off without hesitation, "Shawn Lawson, I don't want to hear your voice
right now. If you still feel a little guilty about me, please let go of me and stay away from me."
"No... I can't let go."
Norah looked down and once again bit hard at the wound she had just made on his arm.
This time, as Norah bit him, her whole body trembled.
As she bit hard on his arm, her tears fell.
Just the thought of losing her baby made her feel a heartbreaking pain.
She knew that he would feel pain. But how could the pain he felt now compare to the pain she felt
when she learned that she had lost her baby and that the baby she had been carrying and expecting
for a few mothers had already left her life.
"Shawn Lawson, let go! Let go of me!"
Even though the wound on his arm was bleeding, he wouldn't let go of her.
Finally, Norah just stopped fighting.
Whatever. Since he wanted to hold her, she just let him. She didn't care anymore and had lost her soul.
Shawn soon felt the change in Norah. He let go of her and called her name softly over and over again,
"Norah, Norah..."
But Norah just lay there on the bed, looking out of the window without a trace of light in her eyes.
Her heart had dried up and she had no soul left.
"Ding-dong..."
Only when Matthew walked in did Norah take her eyes off the window, "Mat..."
"How are you feeling today? Are you feeling better?"
Matthew asked before realizing there was someone else in the room.
Shawn Lawson, Norah's husband. Of course, he remembered him.
"Much better." Norah said with a faint smile.
Seeing her smile at someone else made Shawn feel like his heart was being poked with needles. He
felt like a million arrows were piercing his heart.
"I would have stayed with you for two more days, but I just got an urgent assignment that I have to do.
So I may not be able to stay with you, sorry."
Matthew was very reluctant to leave Norah, but he was a police officer. He should obey the command.
No matter what his reasons were, he could not disobey orders. His life's mission was to be faithful to
his duty.
"It's okay. I've almost recovered. I'll be able to get off the ground soon."
"Thank you, Mat. I'll buy you a cup of coffee when you get back."
"Okay."
As Matthew turned around, Norah suddenly called out to him, "Mat."
"Hmm?"
Norah took a candy from the table and handed it to him, putting it in his hand, "I hope you get back
safely!"
"Yes, I will."
Matthew had promised his mother and sister the same thing every time he went on a mission. But this
time, he needed to promise to one more person, whom he wanted to protect.
Just as Matthew left the ward, Shawn chased after him, "Mr. O'flagen, can I have a moment?"
Seeing that it was Shawn, Matthew stopped. Well, he had something to say to him, too.
"Mr. O'flagen, I know my wife was in a car accident and you helped save her. Thank you." Shawn said
earnestly. Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
But when Matthew heard these words, he showed great dissatisfaction, "Mr. Lawson, since you know
that Norah is your wife, isn't it your basic duty as a husband to protect your wife? But how did you do it,
Mr. Lawson? When your wife was in danger, you chose to save your ex-girlfriend, or should I say
mistress? Well, I don't think I can agree with your choice."
"Although I don't have much contact with Norah, I can see that she is just a soft little woman. Mr.
Lawson, you recklessly hurt her over and over again. Have you ever thought of her feelings? Do you
know how much damage that car accident did to her? Not just physically, but emotionally as well. The
car accident didn't just hurt her, it hurt her..." Matthew stopped talking and thought to himself, 'And her
baby.'
He was so close to telling the truth.
But looking at Shawn's expression, Matthew thought he must not have known that Norah was
pregnant, so this man couldn't possibly know that Norah had miscarried.
Since Norah hadn't told him, she must have her own reasons.
Then Matthew decided to respect Norah's idea and not talk too much.
In the ward, Shawn had just left when Lilian came in.
"Get out." The moment Norah saw her, she gave her an eviction notice without any nonsense.
To her, Lilian was like an annoying fly that would get on her nerves.
"Why are you so angry? I heard that you just had a car accident and are resting. It's not appropriate for
you to be angry!" Lilian said with a happy smile.
"I'll say it again. Get out of here! Get the h*ll out of here right now."
Norah was agitated. Because she yelled so loudly, her wound was pulled, and then a sharp pain came
to her from her belly.
"I know you're emotional, and I know you're upset right now. But Norah, this is not a good time for you
to be angry. It would be bad if you accidentally had another hemorrhage."
Lilian even knew about her hemorrhage. It seemed she had gone to a lot of effort to keep an eye on
her.
"Norah, if I were you, I would have agreed to a divorce with Shawn a long time ago. Why are you
holding on to Shawn? You experienced it yourself this time. When I was kidnapped and you were in a
car accident, he chose to save me. He chose to save me instead of you. You still can't tell the
difference between your place in his heart and mine?"
"Norah, let it go. I can get Shawn to give you a little more of the family fortune if you're willing to get a
divorce."
Lilian's words made Norah furious.
Even if she was insufferable, Lilian Fountain, the home-wrecker, had no right to openly provoke her.
Gritting her teeth, Norah got out of bed. She grabbed a fruit knife and lunged at Lilian without thinking.
She pointed the sharp edge of the knife straight at Lilian's chest and said through clenched teeth, "Get
out. Get out of here right now."
Lilian was terrified and her face turned white as she shivered and said in a shaky voice, "Okay, okay,
I'll... I'll go. Norah, don't get crazy. Calm down."
Just then, however, she suddenly heard familiar footsteps.
At that moment, Lilian immediately changed her mind. Without a second thought, she reached out and
grabbed Norah's hand. Then the knife Norah was holding was thrust into her chest. Then she let go of
Norah's hand.
In an instant, the blood poured out.
Shawn saw this scene as he pushed in the door.
