Don't Try to Escape, My Wife!

Chapter 1802 Right or Wrong

Chapter 1802 Right or Wrong

Jaydon came back swiftly. She noticed Yasmeen standing in front of the French window. She was

staring outside and looked like she was lost in thoughts. She quickly went up and closed the window.

“Miss Shaw, you’re not feeling well. Please rest.”

“Who said that I’m not feeling well?”

Yasmeen was perceptive and quickly caught what X was saying.

Jaydon was puzzled, “Aren’t you? That’s what Young Master told me. That’s why he told me to be by

your side and take care of you.”

Yasmeen squinted her eyes.

Why would Lucas say that?

Did he know something she didn’t?

“What else did he tell you?”

“Nothing else. He just told me to never leave your side.”

What Jaydon said made Yasmeen suspicious.

She thought about how Lucas went to country Y alone and her father whipped Lucas. Her brother sent

her a picture. Everything that happened had to have something to do with her.

Kidney donation!

Yasmeen figured it out.

Did Lucas find out about that and go to the Shaw family to ask for forgiveness?

She felt bad thinking about this.

She tried everything to hide the truth. How did Lucas find out about this?

What went wrong?

Did Julian tell Lucas something?

Yasmeen felt uneasy.

“Can you leave the room? I want to be alone for a bit.”

“Okay, please call me if something happens.”

Jaydon then left the room.

Yasmeen crossed her arms. She then took out her phone and gave Patrick a call but his phone was

turned off. She was feeling more dejected each second.

Jaydon saw a suspicious person walking in when she went out.

“Hold it! Who are you and what are you doing here?”

Jaydon quickly stopped the person.

The person quickly countered Jaydon’s attack and they started fighting.

“Jaydon, don’t you want revenge? I can help you as long as you do me a little favor.”

The person said to Jaydon in a low voice.

Jaydon suddenly thought about what Lucas said to her before he left.

He said, “Since you choose to believe me, then please continue believing me and only believe my

words.”

Jaydon’s head was as clear as day.

“I’ll take my own revenge, I don’t need your help. Since you’re here for me, you can leave now because

I gave you my answer.”

Jaydon wanted to see the person’s face more clearly, but the person left as fast as lightning.

Jaydon frowned seeing the person running away, but she didn’t chase after them. She remembered

Lucas’ order and had to protect Yasmeen no matter what.

Morty’s subordinate heard the ruckus and went up to Jaydon. Yasmeen also looked worriedly at

Jaydon.

“Are you okay?”

“Yes, but the person ran away.”

Jaydon blamed herself.

Yasmeen said in a low voice, “Don’t worry about it. They won’t get away with this, sooner or later they

will be caught.”

Yasmeen and Jaydon went back to the ward. Morty and co. arrived at the room as well.

Michele got poisoned and they couldn’t do much about it. So, they came to Yasmeen to ask her when

her mother would arrive.

Ashley should’ve rushed here first thing after getting the call. She should be here soon, but she wasn’t.

Yasmeen got a bit worried.

“I’ll call my mom.”

Yasmeen said as she dialed her mother’s number.

“Mom, why are you still not in Capital City?”

“You still dare to make me go there?”

Ashley was furious just hearing Yasmeen’s voice.

How dare Yasmeen ask her to go over to treat Michele right now. Ashley would probably smack her if

she saw her right now.

Yasmeen heard what Ashley said, but she chuckled and said, “I’m scared, mom. Don’t raise your voice

at me like that.”

“Be serious. You’re done for when I get there.” Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

“Okay, okay. When are you coming over though?”

“First thing tomorrow in the morning. I’m going with Lucas.”

Ashley gave Yasmeen an estimated time.

Yasmeen quickly asked, “Why did Lucas go to our house?”

“Why? Are you afraid that your father and brother would bully him? You’re not married yet, but you’re

more worried about him than us.”

“Mom…”

Yasmeen said tenderly. Ashley replied, “Don’t worry, you have been after Lucas for so many years.

Your father never liked him and now he wanted to marry you. Your father won’t allow the marriage if

you don’t let him let out some steam.”

“So, dad really hit Lucas? Mom, why didn’t you stop him? Dad hits hard. What if he broke Lucas?”

Yasmeen was worried.

Ashley was angry yet distressed, hearing how much her daughter cared about Lucas.

“Shut up, you’re a grown woman and you’re still so shameless. Lucas won’t break so easily. Do you

think that he’s made from glass? Your father knows when to stop. More nonsense from you and I’ll be

against this wedding too.”

“No, no, mom. I’ll take that bad. I really want to marry Lucas.”

Yasmeen didn’t hide her eagerness and yearn towards Lucas. Ashley didn’t even know what to say to

that.

After hanging up the call, Ashley went to the guest room where Lucas was in.

Lucas was still asleep.

His face was pale because of the wound. Patrick was there looking after him. He touched Lucas’

forehead now and then, checking his temperature to see if his fever got worse.

Ashley walked into the room and Patrick quickly stood up.

“Mom, why are you here?”

“He’s feverish, I think his wounds are infected. But Lucas should be able to get through this.”

What Patrick said made Ashley sigh.

“Your father had let out his steam, he should accept Lucas as his future son-in-law now. Patrick, what

do you think about your sister’s marriage?”

“As long as she’s happy, there’s no need for us to get involved. Mom, don’t you use to say this?”

Patrick didn’t know why Ashley was hesitating about this, hence he tried asking.

“Mom, do you have anything in mind?”

“No.”

Ashley shook her head and said, “Your sister used to go after Lucas relentlessly and I never really

cared about it. But she donated her kidney to Lucas without any hesitation and didn’t even discuss it

with us. I got a bit scared. Patrick, she loved him to death. Will she be able to handle it if something

happened to them and she got hurt by him in the future?”

Ashley was worried about this aspect.

Patrick looked at Lucas who was still unconscious and said in a low voice, “I don’t think he will hurt her

in any way.”

“But we don’t know if he loves her as she loves him. Love is the ficklest thing in the world. Yasmeen bet

everything to be with him. I don’t know if what she’s doing is right or wrong.”

Ashley was worried, but she still checked and treated Lucas’ wound.

Soon after, Lucas’ fever went down. He felt much better and regained consciousness.

He decided to go back to his country the moment he woke up.
