Devoted To You

Chapter 21 If you want a divorce, absolutely not

Susan stood still, sideways, explaining her composition.

From the beginning to the end, she did not look at him again. The eyes automatically skipped over him and calmly said what she wanted to say.

Chandler does not think so, his gaze is hidden with obsessive longing, as well as reluctance, following Susan’s movements.

His Susan is finally back, Chandler can not describe how he feels at this moment. He expects her to be back with him, but fears that she will be farther and farther away from him.

In the end, it was he who owed her. He owed her a lot of things, and now all that remains is remorse and longing.

For more than a thousand days and nights, he missed her all the time. And now that she was really standing in front of him, he chickened out.

She’s not dead, and she’s fine. She is now standing in front of him, even more, beautiful than ever.

Chandler’s eyes were sore, and when he saw her standing in front of him, his heart was soft, many days of longing gathered in the chest.

With that beating heart rate gradually accelerated, Susan did not move, not even a glance at him.

However, as long as she was standing in front of him, Chandler was already satisfied.

He looked at her with excitement and had many things in his heart that he wanted to say to her, but he didn’t know which one to choose.

Perhaps his eyes were too enthusiastic, Susan’s face darkened and she said indifferently, “The meeting is adjourned.”

Gathering up the things in her hands, Susan ignored the biggest light bulb standing by and walked straight towards the door.

For her, seeing Chandler again is just the beginning of revenge. She wants to get back everything she lost, like the economic pain, the torture she endured, and then give it all back to this man.

She wanted to give him a taste of how she felt back then.

When she passed by him, Chandler suddenly tugged her wrist, Susan did not feel anything, indifferently asked: “Mr. Walker what do you want?”

“How have you … been these past few years?” The tone of voice is mixed with pain, Susan looked at him with a sarcastic smile on her face.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

She looked at his affectionate look, people who do not know the situation really think he is very much in love with her. But after going through all those things, Susan has already looked down on it. For his feelings, although she has some reluctance, she has paid so much, that the little reluctance is replaced by ruthlessness.

Obviously, she has done nothing but be forced to bear the unwarranted crime.

Susan’s lips curled up slightly and she smiled, “It’s naturally good to be without Mr. Walker’s care.”

Susan ignored it and looked down at her wrist, which already had a subtle ring of red, showing how hard the man had pushed.

“I know you still hate me.”

“Good to know.”

She quickly answered, not wanting to stay over here any longer, she said, “If there’s nothing else, I’m sorry I won’t accompany you.”

Her wrist was held by him, and the two were frozen in place. He held it very tightly, afraid that she would just run away mercilessly.

Susan narrowed her eyes slightly and looked at him, her voice cold and detached, “Mr. Walker, please let go.”

Chandler was stunned, staring blankly at the person in front of him. He still didn’t let go of her wrist until Susan couldn’t resist anymore and took it back by stiffly breaking his hand away.

And then, rolled her eyes.

“Mr. Walker, I’m not the same person I was three years ago. So, there are some things that we can just know in our hearts.”

Chandler smiled bitterly, he thought she still liked him, but now it seemed he was wrong.

She patted her hand, gently kneading the bones in her wrist. She said breezily, “When is it convenient for you, how about we go to the Civil Affairs Bureau and get a divorce?”

“Susan …” He was stunned again, his gaze a little bewildered, but she no longer cared.

The first time she was like this, she was foolishly cheated, lying in a bed full of poison, and what did she get in return?

The company faced bankruptcy, her father died, and her child was forced to abort. She hated, complained, and then all turned to ashes and dissipated with time.

Chandler, however, clenched his fist and was silent for a long time, not knowing what he was thinking.

And then he slowly let go again and said with her smile: “I said I would not let go this time. So, I do not agree to divorce.”

She wrinkled her good-looking eyebrows and looked at him with great confusion.

Chandler didn’t hide his thoughts either and just said, “I know it was my fault in the past that led to the situation today, but if you want a divorce, absolutely not.”

“Is that so?” She laughed, her gaze tinged with sarcasm. Chandler’s mind she could not guess, nor did she want to.

Chandler saw her face look a little uncomfortable, and his heart felt like it was stabbed by something, but he still feigned a carefree smile.

Looking at him made her hands itchy and she couldn’t help but want to punch him.
