Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 2052

"The bathroom's still there, I just got an upset stomach, heading home early."

The nerve of this little con artist, lying through her teeth without as much as a blink. "Stella, you really think I'm a fool?"

"Beck, why would you say that about yourself?"

Beck choked on his words, struggling for breath.

It was always him leaving others speechless.

He adjusted his tie and took a deep breath.

"You know where I live, right? Catch a cab over."

Stella propped her chin on one hand, squinting her eyes, "Beck, it's 10 PM, might be a bit inconvenient."

"Is it inconvenient, or are you scared?"

Stella let out a sigh, seemingly conceding.

"Alright, I'll come over."

Her prompt agreement caught Beck off guard, making him wonder if she had another trick up her sleeve.

But he wasn't scared of this woman.

Wasn't it all just for that one percent share of the Sanders family? Better to get her out of his hair sooner rather than later. He returned to his mansion, gently wiping the bruise at the corner of his mouth, growing angrier by the minute.

By midnight, two hours later, Stella still hadn't shown up.

At 1 AM, Beck's face was as dark as thunder.

He called Stella again, who seemed to have just woken up.

"Beck, what's up?"

Beck barely managed to restrain himself from cursing out loud.

"Even if you were riding a tractor, you should've been here by now."

Stella yawned, rubbing her eyes.

"Beck, I said I'd come over, but I never said when. I was planning to come over in the morning, maybe have breakfast at your place. I remember you have a personal chef." Oh, really?

Beck was grinding his teeth, vowing to give her a piece of his mind when she showed up.

After hanging up, he grimaced, the action paining him.

Fuming, he found it impossible to sleep, tossing and turning in bed.

At 8 AM, the doorbell rang.

Beck, having not slept a wink, went to open the door.

When he had bumped into Stella at the bar the previous night, she was all dolled up, a real head-turner.

But today, she was in light makeup, wearing a blue dress, her hair in soft curls reaching her waist. Seeing Beck, she waved.

"Beck."

The sharp retort Beck had prepared got stuck in his throat, his expression sour. "Get inside."

Stella raised an eyebrow, changing her shoes in the foyer before following Beck.

After being reintroduced to the Sanders family, she had been taken home.

Though her home was luxurious, it paled in comparison to Beck's.

She settled comfortably on the couch, leaning back with ease.

This couch was really comfy.

Seeing her looking so content, Beck scoffed.

"Out with it, what's your angle infiltrating the Sanders family? Revenge on Morgan? Or his girlfriend? I believe she was the one who reported your plagiarism, right?"

Stella's elbow rested on the edge of the couch, a sly look passing through her eyes.

"Beck, you're hurting my feelings. What if I genuinely am your sister? The paternity test was done under your supervision, wasn't it? If you're still not convinced, I can go for another test with dad."

Watching her feign innocence, Beck felt a blockage in his chest.

He finally understood why so many men were deceived by her; she was indeed beautiful, with those eyes seemingly always on the

Crossing his arms, he gave her a once-over.
