Chapter 66
Chapter 66
Dorian’s expression was dark as las gaze shot over to them
Even through the crowd, Gisele could feel the sharp gaze that seemned to pierce through her, making her so uncomfortable that she felt suffocated But still, she kept up a nonchalant facade.
Sierra gripped Dorian’s hand tightly and asked softly, “Don, have I said something wrong?
She was jealous of and hated Gisele. But more importantly, she was scared that Gisele would affect
Dorian’s emotions.
“No, you haven’t,” Dorian looked at her and shot her a warm smile.
Gisele looked away nonchalantly and thanked Aspen after regaining her balance. “Thank you, Aspen. Let’s head over to Hearty Herbs up ahead to get our herbs.”
Gisele pulled Aspen along by the arm, trying to avoid Sierra and Dorian.
“Gisele, are you mad at me?” Sierra rushed over to them, but before she could get close, the crowd forced her away. Had Dorian not reacted fast enough to hold her, she’d have fallen to the ground.
Dorian looked past Sierra and stared at Gisele with a dark gaze. “Sierra asked you a question. Have you gone dumb?”
Sierra tugged at his arm coquettishly and said with a slight blush, “Don, this is not the place to talk, let’s go up ahead where there’s less people. We can talk there, alright?” NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
“Sure.” Dorian glanced away.
Gisele forced herself to look away as a wry smile tugged on her l*ps.
Just then, a hand reached out to hold her hand. Startled, she looked up at Aspen and tried to free her hand from his. However, his grip on her hand was tight.
“There’s too many people here. Let’s head over to Hearty Herbs first,” he whispered into her ear.
Gisele understood that the history between Withams and the Jeffersons went a long way back. It was impossible for Aspen and Dorian to not know each other.
But judging by how the two of them had not exchanged a single word since they met, she could tell that they were most likely not on the best of terms.
It took them quite some time to make their way out of the crowd and into Hearty Herbs.
There was no one else in the store besides the middle–aged owner, who was dozing off. When he caught sight of Gisele, he immediately smiled brightly at her.
“Hey, Gigi, you’re here again? Say, is your business doing that well? Why don’t you tell me how you do it, and I’ll sell you my herbs at wholesale price!”
The owner of the store, Jett Pohler, who had a stubble, chuckled. Gisele had sold him several
priscriptions in the past, and these prasenptions had brought him quite a huge profit. So every time she visited him for herbs, he would sell them to her at a cheaper price
As time went on, the two of them got familiar with each other.
“No,” Gisele sand as she thought of the herbs that don hand dumped indo the trash can. She felt bad for the
Wastage
Then, she continued with a smile, I’m not selling herbs anymore. I found a household that hired me to be a caretaker, so I’m here to get some supplies with my employe
“We’re actually here to get some supplies for my grandmother. Please give Gi the best quality herbs that she neoda, Aspen interrupted as he closed the gap between himself and Gisele
She tensed up and tried to distance herself from him, but Aspen whispered into her ear, “Ms. Meyer, I’m doing this for a reason. Please play along. I’ll explain this to you later.”
Gisele figured that since he had a reason for it, she should bear with it even though she felt quite
uncomfortable.
When Sierra and Dorian stepped into Hearly Herbs, they were greeted by the sight of Gisele and Aspen behaving intimately. When filerra saw that, a hint of confusion flashed in her eyes.
Had Gisele really taken an interest in someone else?
But the feeling that followed after the revelation was a pang of discomfort. Why was Aspen on such close terms with Gisele?
