A Short Night.

The clock showed 09. 05 PM.

Beryl reluctantly let Lexi lie on his bed. The man did not want to go to the hospital and chose to rest at Beryl’s house. Outside, Beryl just sat listening to the conversation from inside his room.

It’s really sad for Beryl, when he gave up the woman he wanted to be alone with a man in his room. It seemed that from this moment Beryl must begin to forget about his feelings for Jessica. Yes, he could not continue to cultivate a sense of while Jessica and Lexi were both fighting for their love.

Jessica smiled back at her husband. “On behalf of Daniel, I apologize for making you hurt like this,” Jessica whispered. She could no longer hold back the tears in her wet cheeks.

“Don’t cry, I’m okay. I better accept this wound and get to meet you. We can’t lie down like this.” Lexi traced Jessica’s face then stopped right at her lips. If his lips hadn’t been hurt, he would have kissed her passionately.

“Does your stomach hurt?” she remembered his brother kicking Lexi hard in the stomach, it flashed through Jessica’s mind.

” No, ” Lexi replied, lying he didn’t want Jessica to feel worried.

“Where are you going?” Lexi asked, not willingly if his wife moved away from him.

“I just want to cook for a while, I know you and Beryl haven’t eaten yet!”

“No, you just stay here! Before one of your family members picks you up Jess, here!” Lexi invited a place next to her.

Jessica obeyed.

They came back to hug each other, staring at the ceiling of Beryl’s room. It looked bleak, as bleak as their relationship.

” Jess, ” Lexi grabbed his waist wife to get closer.

“Yes, my dear,” Jessica said.

“At your birthday party, I’m sure we can still meet,” he consoled himself.

Jessica nodded.

Outside, Beryl was sitting by himself staring out the glass. If he became Lexi, maybe he would give up and prefer to let Jessica go.

There was a knock on the door.

“Open the door,” a male shouted from outside his apartment door.

Beryl moved towards the door and opened it. He saw the man who had always been around Jessica. The man was a bodyguard assigned by Mr. Kim.

“Where Is Miss Elsa?” the man asked, barging in.

“Wait here let me call her,” Beryl prevented. Then he went into the room and called Jessica.

Beryl grabbed the door and opened it.

“Jess, you have to go now!”he said.

Jessica nodded.

“Honey, I’m leaving now, if you’re still sick tomorrow you should see a doctor, huh?” his wife asked.

“Yes, take care.” Lexi got out of bed and held Jessica’s hand as if he didn’t want her to go.

“Yes.”

The two stared at each other for a long time, not wanting to be apart tonight. However, she would do anything if the bodyguards would just go back to beating Lexi like Daniel did earlier.

Jessica hugged, then kissed her husband on the lips before finally leaving the room without seeing him.

“Beryl, take care of Lexi,” she asked Beryl, who most likely from tomorrow the grandfather would not allow him to see Beryl again after this incident.

Beryl nodded his head. It was so sad to see Jessica continue to shed tears.

“Miss, hurry up! Mr. David is already in the car waiting for you!” the guard reminded her.

“Yes.” Jessica looked again at the door where Lexi was standing and saw her. So, she waved and immediately walked out of Beryl’s apartment.

Jessica got off the elevator with two bodyguards. They went to the first floor.

The elevator door opened.

The three of them got out and asked Jessica again to immediately get into the car where David had been waiting.

Jessica sat in the back seat next to David who was currently looking at him with eyes that could not be interpreted.
