Brandon is seen in his study room pacing to and fro and just then the door burst open revealing Liam.

“Any news yet?” Brandon asked

“Not yet, the team is still searching,” Liam said and Brandon sighed softly.

“What do we do now? What if they are hurt?” Liam said and Brandon stared at him with a worried look on his face.

“I’m sure whoever took them won’t hurt them, they want something, and sooner or later whoever took them is going to reach out to us. For now, we keep searching” Brandon said and Liam sighed softly.

The look on Brandon’s face showed he was so worried about the octuplets. Even though the kids weren’t his biological kids, he saw them as one and took them as one. He just prayed they are alright.

“The chief of police staff is a close friend of yours, why don’t we call him and ask him for help” Liam suggested and Brandon sat on his chair.

“We can’t involve the police, Liam. The last time I was in a situation like this, you knew what happened in the end. I do not want to lose another child” Brandon said and Liam sighed softly, remembering what had happened in the past.

He just didn’t want to reminisce about it, so he quickly shook off the thoughts.

“Any news on my grandmother yet?” Brandon asked

“She was spotted at a restaurant down with a guy who was confirmed to be a reporter and also an investigator. She’s still there at the moment.

I hired someone to keep an eye on her already” Liam said and Brandon nodded in response.

Just then, they heard voices from downstairs. They walked out of the study room and climbed down the stairs and there they met Rhoda speaking with Alexander downstairs.

“Oh Brandon, here you are. I heard about what happened and I came immediately” Rhoda said immediately he saw Brandon.

“Did you tell her anything?” Brandon asked Liam.

“What? No, I didn’t. I haven’t even spoken to her or called her since” Liam said and Brandon stared at her wondering how she had found out about what happened.

“It’s fine Alexander, I will take over from here,” Brandon said and then Alexander nodded in response before walking away.

“What are you doing here Rhoda?” Brandon asked

“I heard about what happened. I rushed to your office and found out you weren’t there. I had to come to your house and here you are.

How are you holding up? Any news about the kids? And how’s Hannah?” Rhoda asked pretending to care and Liam gave a deadly glare knowing well this woman in front of them was a fucking pretender.

Who knows, maybe she has something to do with the missing octuplets, Liam’s thoughts.

“And how the hell did you find out about it? I didn’t tell anyone about it” Brandon asked with a frown on his face.

“I… I had gone to your office because you promised you were going to come over for dinner yesterday. I just wanted to find out why you didn’t come over.

And then I met Kate, Hannah’s PA. She told me you had left and she overheard you talking to someone on the phone that the octuplets were missing ” Rhoda said and Brandon turned to Liam and then to Rhoda.

“You should go home Rhoda, this is my family’s house and my wife does not like it whenever you come here. If you want to see me or ask me any questions, you should call me” Brandon said calmly.

He wasn’t in for any drama. All he wanted was to find the octuplets and nothing else.

Rhoda pouted as tears filled her eyes. Brandon felt sorry for her at once.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to disrespect you,” Rhoda said as she moved toward Brandon, tiptoed, and hugged Brandon.

“I’m so sorry,” she said, pretending to cry as she touched his hair and stylishly pulled out a few strands from it.

“It’s fine. I didn’t mean to be so harsh. I promise when all this is over I’ll make time for you” Brandon said as he pulled Rhoda away from the hug.

“You should go home and rest,” Brandon said to her as he stared at her. He wondered how he had forced himself on this woman in the past.

The woman from years ago had a different scent and when their body came in contact, he felt something but he felt nothing for Rhoda. He feels numb whenever he’s around her.

He sighed and then turned to Liam and whispered.

“Make sure she gets home safe, and Kate, make sure she’s taken care of and doesn’t tell another what she had heard,” Brandon said in a whisper, and with that, he walked away.

Liam turned to Rhoda with a frown on his face, he held her hands and pulled her out of the house roughly.

“Let me go” she winced and Liam let go of her immediately.

“What do you think you were doing by coming here and why do I have this feeling you were the one who kidnapped the octuplets,” Liam said and Rhoda frowned

“What do you mean? That’s a huge accusation you putting on me” Rhoda said and Liam rolled his eyes

“Oh common we both know what you are capable of. You saw the kids just yesterday and today they went missing. Isn’t that such a big coincidence ?” Liam said and Rhoda rolled her eyes.

“As much as I hate Hannah so much, I would never think of harming her kids or kidnapping them. I’m a mother too,” Rhoda said in a convincing tone and Liam hummed

“I do not trust you, the moment I found out you are involved in this. It would be the end of you. Now come let me take you home” Liam said and Rhoda frowned.

“Stop threatening me. And I can go home by myself. I do not need you taking me home” Rhoda said and walked away from him, she hopped into her car and opened her palm.

She stared at the few strands of hair in her palm

And a wide smile spread on her lips. Now I have one of the octuplets and Brandon’s hair, I can now take these samples to the lab and confirm.

Is Brandon their Biological father, Rhoda thought as she put the hair strands in a small nylon, sealed it, and put it in her bag.

She got what she came for, mission accomplished, She ignited the engine and zoomed off at once.

Liam stared at the car till it was out of sight. He didn’t know why but he suspected Rhoda was behind the octuplets missing.

Just then, Another car drove into Colby’s villa and a man in a suit and a shade climbed out of the car and walked towards Liam.

“Hello, is Mrs Colby in?” he asked and Liam stared at him weirdly.

“And you are?” Liam asked and the guy in black removed his sun shade.
