“My wife is the one who is making me happy and I don’t share. Go find your happiness, oh you can’t, I forgot you are single” he said and Liam sighed and he laughed.

“I will get a wife soon,” he said and Brandon chuckled. He took the files and walked out of the office.

The moment he walked out, the smile on his face disappeared as he remembered his ex-girlfriend, and how she had left him. They had a lot of plans together but she left.

The thought of her filled his heart.

Meanwhile, it was evening and the octuplets had gotten back from school. They were seen downstairs in the sitting room playing with Mellisa when the front door opened revealing Jessica, looking tired and stressed.

Jayden turned to his siblings and gave them eye contact that Jessica was back and he needed to go meet her.

They nodded and he stood up and walked towards Jessica who was on her way to her room.

“Hey Aunt Jessica, when should we be expecting the test result?” Jayden asked as he tucked his hand in his pocket.

Jessica stared at him and opened her door, walking inside her room.

“I’ll be getting it soon. I need you guys to do something for me before you can see the result” Jessica said and dropped her bag on the bed.

“And what is that?” Jayden asked.

“What we agreed on. I need you guys to search Lisa’s room and bring me whatever suspicious thing you find there” she said and Jayden paused for some seconds and laughed.

“You are kidding right?” He asked with a smile on his face but the smile disappeared when he realized she was serious.

“I can’t go searching for Aunt Lisa’s room,” he said and Jessica shrugged.

“Who said you were going in alone, your siblings can assist you-”

“What if we get caught?”

“I know you guys, you are smart, you cannot be caught. So, do what I ask for if you want to see the test result” Jessica said and Jayden sighed softly. He gave Jessica one last glance before walking out of her room.

Jessica on the other hand, laid on the bed the moment Jayden walked out.

She was so tired from work, she wasn’t sure if she was going to continue the work but she had to, she needed something to distract her from Matthew, she thought and just then she heard her phone ring.

She picked up her phone, checked the caller’s ID and saw it was Matthew. She stared at her phone wanting to pick up the call so she could at least hear from him but she had a change of heart.

She ended the call, and switched off her phone and laid back on the bed.

Jayden had gone downstairs and sat with the octuplets.

They were waiting for him to tell them what Jessica had said but he couldn’t say anything because Mellisa was there.

“Mellisa, why don’t you go call your mommy so she can take us to buy ice cream” Jayden said and his siblings turned to him with a surprise look on their faces.

“Ice cream?” Allison muttered.

“Sure, I have been craving ice cream for a long time, I would go tell her now,” Mellisa said and stood up before walking away to Lisa’s room.

“Why would you say that? I don’t feel like leaving this house to get ice cream” Jaxon said.

“We ain’t going, it’s not like Aunt Lisa is going to say yes. I just needed Mellisa to go.

Jessica said we need to do something for her before she can show us what the test result says” Jayden said and they raised their eyebrows with a curious look wondering what Jessica wanted them to do.

“She wants us to search Aunt Lisa’s room and bring her anything that looks suspicious, ” Jayden said and they all paused for a second.

“What if we get caught?” Audrey asked.

“We would try not to get caught. We need to see the test result and what it says” Jasper said and they all sighed before nodding in agreement.

“So, I and Allison will go search her room and you guys will distract Aunt Lisa and Mellisa till we find anything, ” Jayden said and they nodded.

Meanwhile, Mellisa entered the room and met Lisa lying on the bed going through her phone.

“Mommy,” Mellisa called and she raised her head.

“You can stop calling me mommy when no one is here with us,” she said and Mellisa rolled her eyes.

“The octuplets want you to take them to get ice cream,” Mellisa said as she sat on the bed.

“What? I can’t. Couldn’t you tell them your mommy can’t?” She asked with a frown on her face as she sat up on the bed.

“I didn’t want them to be suspicious or notice something weird. I remember telling them, you would do anything for me” Mellisa said and Lisa sighed softly.

” I can’t take them all to buy ice cream. They are so many, I can’t take all of them with me. I wonder how Hannah takes care of them” she said as she stood up.

“You can tell them that when we get downstairs, ” Mellisa said as she stood up and they both walked out of the room.

The moment they got downstairs, they met the octuplets whispering among themselves.

“My mommy is here,” Mellisa said and they all turned to her and stood up.

“Hi Aunt Lisa,” the octuplets said in unison.

“Hello children,” she said as she forced herself to smile.

I hope I’m not babysitting, she thought as she stared at the octuplets who were also glaring at her with their cute little eyes.

“So, let’s go get ice cream,” Mellisa said, breaking the silence between them.

“Yeah, ice cream,” Lisa said as she forced herself to smile. The octuplets stared at each other.

“Okay, I and Allison will go bring our jackets from our room. Mommy said we shouldn’t go out without our jackets” Jayden said and Lisa nodded.

“You guys should wait for us,” Allison said Lisa rolled her eyes and sat on the couch, then watched Jayden and Allison walk away.

“So Aunt Lisa, how did you know our daddy?” Jaxon asked and she turned to him wondering why a kid was asking her such a question.
