Chapter 259

The look on Brandon’s face changed. Was Hannah really with Lucas last night? Was that the reason she had come into the room so late and tired?

She knew Lisa was lying to him and nothing else. She’s trying to get to his head again. He wasn’t gonna let it work, he thought.

Hannah who had just walked out of Arianna’s room went to her room and took her bath while she changed into her office wear and went to the company.

Brandon on the other hand had gotten dressed too and went to the company.

Meanwhile, Jessica who was still looking furious had wanted to go upstairs to her room.

She was about walking past the octuplets room when the door opened revealing the octuplets.

She gave them a weird look wondering why they were staring at her like that.

“Why ain’t you guys in school?” Jessica asked.

“Public holiday, school resumes tomorrow,” Allison said to Jessica and she hummed.

“Okay then,” she said and was about to walk away when they spoke, making her stop.

“We need your help, Aunt Jessica,” Jayden said and she turned to them with a tired look on.

“What is it again?” She asked as she stared at them. They had this serious look on their faces, which meant whatever it was was serious.

“Come in,” they said as they opened the door fully and asked her to come in before closing the door.

“What’s wrong? Did you guys get into trouble, I cannot help you if you’ve done anything wrong” she said as she sat on the couch.

“We didn’t do anything,” Jaxon said and Jessica heaved a sigh of relief.

“We need your help on something,” Jasper said and Jessica stood up at once:

“I’m not cooking for you guys again, the last time I tried cooking because you guys asked me to, this house almost caught fire-”

“We know, that’s why we aren’t asking you to cook again this time. Who knows it might be your hair which would catch fire again ” Audrey said with an eye roll and Jessica shrugged.

“Whatever! What do you need my help with?” She asked.

“It’s Mellisa. Could you please tell us how she’s my step-sister? I thought Aunt Lisa was with Uncle Lucas” Allison asked with a confused look on her face.

“Okay, I can’t talk about this to you. It’s complicated. Mellisa is your step-sister or maybe she’s not, that’s all you should know.

You guys are kids, stop prying your nose into things that concern adults” Jessica said and the kids hummed and stared at each other.

“Anyways that’s not the reason we called you here. There’s something off about Melissa. She called Aunt Lisa by her name but quickly corrected herself.

She said a lot of things, I don’t know but I feel there’s something Mellisa and her mom is hiding-” Jaxon said and Jessica raised her eyebrows waiting for them to continue.

“We want you to perform a secret DNA test and see if she’s truly my father’s child,” Jayden said and Jessica stood up.

“I’m not doing that, I can’t go through that stress, what if it comes out positive?-”

“And what if it comes out negative?” Allison asked.

“I don’t know Allison,” she said and then sighed.

“Please, we would help you keep an eye on Melissa and her mom. We know you don’t like Aunt Lisa, we could help you, ” Aubrey said.

“Brandon Would kill me if he found out I asked you guys to spy on Lisa,” she said.

“Who tells you my dad needs to know? He doesn’t need to know about all of this, not even my mom. It’s between us” Jayden said and Jessica sighed as she stared at them with their cute little eyes. She just couldn’t say no.

“Fine, fine. I would do it. Can you guys just stop that thing you all do with your eyes? Your dad does it too” Jessica said and the kids stared at her confused.

“What thing?” They asked at once.

“Never mind, I need something for the DNA test, a few strands of hair or anything,” she said and the kids stared at each other.

“We will take care of that and get back to you before the end of tomorrow,” Jayden said and she stared at them and nodded before walking out of the room.

The moment she walked out of the room, she saw Mellisa and Lisa both dressed like they were going out.

“Going to find another man you would seduce,” Jessica said and Lisa sighed. She didn’t say a word, instead, she walked past her.

“A whore with decent cheekbones” she muttered as she walked to her room.

“Mellisa, go wait for me outside,” she said and the little girl nodded before walking out of the house.

“Hey, Lucas, ” Lisa called and Lucas turned to her and looked away.

“I know you probably hate me already but I’m sorry for what I did. I love you and also love Brandon” she said and Lucas rolled his eyes and still didn’t say a word.

She gritted her teeth.

“Hey I’m talking to you,” she said and then Lucas turned to her.

“Oh, I know and I’m ignoring you,” he said in response and he stood up.

“I know you are mad at me, but that isn’t enough reason to be sleeping with Hannah,” she said and he gaped at her.

“What are you talking about?” He asked, looking confused.

“I saw her coming out of your room last night, Lucas. Stop playing dumb” Lisa said and he shook his head and sighed.

He knew Hannah had helped her out of the wine cellar last night and took her to his room. He had almost kissed her but she had moved away from him. He sighed.

“Not everyone is a whore like you, Lisa. Hannah is nothing like you and that’s more reason I love her” he said and with that, he walked away.

Lisa stared at him angrily as jealousy rushed through her veins.

Hannah all the time, I wonder what’s so special about her.
