Cinderella And Her Beautiful Octuplets

Chapter 133

Chapter 133

“I don’t know who he is, Jeff. I’m telling the truth. I don’t know” Rosa Cried and Jeff stared at her angrily without saying a word.

Just then he received a call from the Mikealson’s Company that the board meeting was about to start. He gave his mom one last glance before walking out of the house.

He got to the company and went straight to the board room and to his surprise he saw Jessica and her new husband, Matthew, and a woman who he assumed to be her lawyer, sitting with other board members waiting for him.

The board members were staring at Jessica with surprise in their eyes wondering who she was and what she was doing at the board meeting.

He felt so angry the moment he saw her.

“Everyone out!” he voiced out angrily. Everyone stood up at once and walked out of the board room leaving Jessica, Matthew, and the lawyer.

“You, what are you doing here?” he yelled angrily and Jessica scoffed.

“I came to the board meeting or have you forgotten I own 35% shares of this company?” Jessica smiled and Jeff tightened his fist.

“You are going to get nothing from my company,” Jeff said and Jessica sighed and stood up.

“I know you would say that, that’s why I brought my lawyer, so we would be doing it the legal way, no need getting violent,” Jessica said and Jeff was about to move towards her when Matthew stood up and stood in front of Jessica.

“Back off, man,” Matthew said and Jeff scoffed.

“And who do you think you are to stand in my way?” Jeff asked as he stared at Matthew.

“I said back off man,” Matthew said, already looking pissed.

“And what if I don’t” Jeff asked as he pushed Matthew on his chest. Matthew paused for some seconds and then punched Jeff in his mouth making him stagger.

Jeff tried to punch Matthew in return but Matthew was quick to get his hand and then held it, he twisted his hands and brought it down, and then punched him on his nose. Jeff groaned and then he fell on the ground.

“That’s for giving the press that crappy speech about my wife,” Matthew said angrily and Jeff, whose nose was bleeding, laughed.

“Your wife? You are kidding, right? Your wife? She’s using you. I would advise you to run away from the Colby’s as fast as you can because they are going to ruin you, I pity you” Jeff and touched his nose which was bleeding.

Jeff spit out blood immediately. Jessica, who hated the sight of blood, looked away immediately.

“Matthew that’s enough, let’s go,” Jessica said and held Matthew then pulled him out of the room, while the lawyer trailed behind them.

Matthew looked so pissed and Jessica noticed it. She didn’t say a word, she had just met Matthew a few days ago and paid him to marry him and now he stood up for her.

No one had ever stood up to protect her the way Matthew did today, she didn’t know why, but when Matthew stood in front of her and asked Jeff to back off, she felt this tingling feeling in her.

And when he called her his wife, she felt her heartbeat increase. She kept smiling to herself as they got to the car. She didn’t notice she was smiling.

“Hey, are you alright?” Matthew asked jolting Jessica out of her thoughts and she smiled at him.

“Yeah, I’m okay,” Jessica sighed softly.

“I’m sorry for earlier on, I just……”

“It’s fine, I’m just wondering how you can punch and even catch a punch,” Jessica said and Matthew laughed.

“My dad taught me all of that, he was a soldier before he died,” Matthew said and he looked so sad.

“Oh my goodness! I’m so sorry about that. I’m so sorry” Jessica said and Matthew smiled.

“It’s fine, it’s in the past now,” he said as they all entered the car including the lawyer and they drove home.

Meanwhile, it was almost 4 pm and Hannah was ready to leave the company. Brandon had told her they would be meeting with a client today, so she wanted them to get there in time.

She walked out of her office to Brandon’s office. She planted a soft knock on the door.

“Come in,” a masculine voice said and Hannah opened the door and walked in. She saw a pile of files on Brandon’s table, he looked so busy.

“It’s almost 4 pm, ain’t we going to see the client?” Hannah asked

“No, he rescheduled the date of the meeting. He had something important to do, so he canceled it” Brandon said, his eyes fixed on the files on his table.

“And you didn’t bother telling me?” Hannah asked and Brandon dropped the pen on his hands and leaned his back against his chair.

“I was busy with work, I forgot to tell you, besides, we would be going to a house party held by Mr Edward” Brandon said as he stood up arranging his sleeve properly. The man was looking elegant as he tucked in his sleeve properly.

“And who is Mr Edward?” Hannah asked

“He’s a good business partner of mine, we’ve known each other forever, and he’s part of this company’s growth too. He’s also a family friend. I will introduce him to you once we get there” Brandon said as he walked out of the office.

Hannah sighed softly and trailed behind him.

They both got to the car, Hannah opened the passenger seat and hopped in, not wanting to sit beside Brandon in the front seat.

Brandon on the other hand sat on the driver’s seat, without saying a word or insisting that she sit beside him. He ignited the engine and drove off.

During the ride, the car was silent. Brandon gazed at the woman through the rearview mirror, she was looking so stunning and elegant.

He swallowed hard as he admired the petite woman from the rearview mirror.

Just then Hannah raised her head and stared at the mirror, and suddenly their eyes met with each other.
