Chapter 1113
Two days later, Wesley received the results of the DNA test.
The results showed that he and Yerick were indeed father and son.
Upon receiving this result, Wesley lost his balance and fell into a chair. He sat dazedly in the hospital lobby, his mind spinning. He held his forehead and leaned back weakly.
Yerick was truly his son, the child he had with J. He was already neen years old, at that.
Wesley hadn't imagined they would meet like this. Why hadn't J told him that she was pregnant with his child?
His attitude back then might not have been the best, but if she had insisted on telling him, he would have known. He wouldn't have abandoned them. J, with her stubbornness, had kept it from him, making it seem as if he was the irresponsible one and the scumbag.
Wesley's mind was in turmoil. As he thought carefully, he realized he had been the scumbag. This was all his fault.
What should he do now? Should he tell Yerick that he was his father?
Would Yerick be able to accept it? Would he be furious and think that his father had ignored him for so many years, even unaware of his existence?
Wesley trembled as he took out his phone, searching for Yerick's number. He wanted to ask Yerick to meet him, but as he stared at the DNA test in his hands, he lacked the courage to dial.
He needed to think carefully about how to handle this.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
Since Yerick was his son, Wesley couldn't just ignore him. Wesley needed to meet him. As for how to meet him, how to interact with him, and when to tell him, that all had to be done thoughtfully. Wesley couldn't just tell him they were related by blood out of the blue.
Perhaps it would be better to spend some time with the boy first.
After thinking for over ten minutes, Wesley finally dialed Yerick's number. After about twenty seconds, the call was answered.
"Hello, Mr. Spencer."
"Yerry, are you busy right now?"
"I'm in the lab. Is there something you need, Mr. Spencer?"
"Oh, no, nothing in particular. I was just wondering if you're free for lunch? We could grab a bite together."
"I'm free. I can go out for lunch. I'm not too busy in the afternoon."
Hearing that, Wesley breathed a sigh. of relief. "Great, I'll make a
reservation at a restaurant. You continue with what you're doing, and I'll message you once the reservation is made."
"Okay, no problem." Yerick's voice was bright and cheerful.
Wesley hung up the phone, tightly gripping it in his hand. He closed his eyes and lowered his head in pain.
No wonder he had felt such a sense
of familiarity when he first met
Yerick, as if they were old
acquaintances. It turned out thamet
this was his child. He hadn't
er
expected to have another child
besides Theodore. Content belongs
If Theodore and Sydney found out, he would never be able to hold his head high in front of them again.
However, now that this matter had
come up, there was no turning back. He would find a way to handle it. He was immature enough. He couldn't keep running away.
At lunchtime, Wesley met with Yerick. They had arranged to meet at a Toscanian restaurant.
Yerick, carrying a backpack, was dressed in jeans. He was tall, slender, and seemed to be very energetic. "Mr. Spencer."
Seeing him, Wesley immediately stood up from his seat. "Yerry, you're here."
Yerick glanced around. "Mr. Spencer, you even reserved a private room. Looks pretty fancy."
"I'm treating you to lunch. Of course, I can't be careless."
"You're treating me again? Mr. Spencer, I want to treat you next time. You already treated me last time."
"It's fine. From now on, I'll take care of all the expenses." Wesley was more than eager to make it up to Yerick.
