Chasing Back My Ex-wife

Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Hearing that, Arthur sneered. Was she not aware of the situation she was in? She had lied to him first, so how dare she run away?

"Lucy, I didn't sign the papers. If you continue making trouble, do you believe I'll punish you right here?!"

"That Lucy from five years ago is already dead. Are you still unwilling to let me go?"

Lucy teared up at once and her lips trembled as she finally burst out.

Why did he still have to humiliate her that way? Was it because she had suggested the divorce?

Arthur was nonplussed as he looked at Lucy, whose eyes were filled with tears that could roll down any time.

In those three years, he had never seen Lucy cry. He had seen more of that seductive smile she used to get in his good books.

Now that Lucy was being so resistant towards him and refused any sort of contact with him while looking so miserable, why did it make him feel...so angry?

"Did I allow you to leave? Did I agree to the divorce? Lucy, who do you think you are?"

Arthur was a little furious. Over the past five years, he had gone from feeling helpless towards the start to realizing his loss towards the end. He had realized how important Lucy was to him. Hearing that, Arthur sneered. Was she not aware of the situation she was in? She had lied to him first,

so how dare she run away?

After so much difficulty, they finally met again, but she was repeatedly trying to deny any connection to him!

"What about you? What gives you the right to boss me around? Arthur, I'm begging you to let me go. I'm really tired of all this."

"You..." Looking at Lucy, whose eyes were red-rimmed, Arthur felt a burst of rage in him, but also a strong feeling of helplessness and disbelief.

Lucy was no longer the same person she was five years ago. The present Lucy didn't even want to look at him. Could she really hate him that much?

She had to. If she didn't hate him, she wouldn't have wanted a divorce back then even while she was pregnant.

A thought struck Arthur. "You were pregnant when you left. Where's the child?"

His hands, which were hanging by his sides, were tightly clenched. He was anxious.

"Child?" Lucy looked as if she had heard the funniest joke ever. "The child's gone. Arthur, you were the one who said you didn't want it! You said that even if I got pregnant, the child would only have one ending!"

Her shrill accusations hurt him so much that he couldn't say a word.

"You oborted it?" Arthur hodn't gotten his senses bock yet. A fierce look come into his eyes. "Lucy, how could you?"

Lucy wos stunned. She didn't know if she wos hollucinoting, but she octuolly sow poin ond onger in Arthur's eyes.

Even so, it wos too bod.

It wos too lote!

Looking ot the mon in front of her who hod grown more moture, she couldn't help but feel offected. However, her reoson told her thot she couldn't.

The moment she chose the some poth she hod chosen bock then, she would be emborking on o poth of no return. How mony more yeors could she offord to woste?

He took o deep breoth ond soid, "We're not divorced. Since you oborted the child, you hove to give me onother!"

"You've lost your mind... oh!" Lucy's cries were drowned out by his kiss.

He dumped her into the cor ond locked the door.

"You aborted it?" Arthur hadn't gotten his senses back yet. A fierce look came into his eyes. "Lucy, how could you?"

Lucy was stunned. She didn't know if she was hallucinating, but she actually saw pain and anger in Arthur's eyes.

Even so, it was too bad.

It was too late!

Looking at the man in front of her who had grown more mature, she couldn't help but feel affected. However, her reason told her that she couldn't.

The moment she chose the same path she had chosen back then, she would be embarking on a path of no return. How many more years could she afford to waste?

Lucy wiped away her tears. Barefooted, she gritted her teeth and wanted to leave.

"Lucy, I won't allow you to leave!"

Arthur grabbed her wrist with a fierce gaze.

He took a deep breath and said, "We're not divorced. Since you aborted the child, you have to give me another!"

"You've lost your mind... ah!" Lucy's cries were drowned out by his kiss.

He dumped her into the car and locked the door.
