Chapter 10

Using her for a plan

“Doctor, will he be fine?” Barbra asked the doctor immediately the door of the surgical room opened. He removed his mask from his mouth. And breathed out in relief.

“He’s out of danger. At least he’s fine for now.” He turned to leave. Barbra let out a deep breath she’d been holding. And sat down. She was throwing out the trash when saw someone, dumped something in a sack beside the trash can. The way he’d carried it, she could tell, it wasn’t just a trash, she was duly aware bad things happened around here at night. And the person had dumped the sack closed to the diner. Got into the car and drove off. She’d been able to see his face, cause it was late. She was curious and wanted to know what was in the sack, she hunkered down at it, and slowly covered it.

She screamed when she saw the face, covered in blood.

Ray!

She’d been so confused and didn’t know what to do, the Ray she knew was sweet and never the type to engaged in violence.

He went out to look for Elina and this happened to him, if this happened to him, what would have happened to Elina?

She was so scared that night and paced around all through the night he was undergoing surgery. Praying he survived the night. She couldn’t be more grateful he did. And now, she was so worried about Elina. She’d no one to look for her, if anything was to happen, but she also prayed nothing should happen to her.

Minutes past and turned to hours and hours to days. Three days. She was in that room, dead hungry, with no food or water. She could barely moved from the spot she was, attached the wall. With her face buried on the ground. If she was alive or dead she can’t say. Her breath was very faint. She was completely forgotten in here.

The door opened, she didn’t bother looking up, cause she won’t see anyway. The footsteps marched towards her, she could tell it was two different feet with the way it was coming at her.

“I thought you said she’s dead.” The first voice she held was that of Kenzo.

“She seems just fine!”

Just fine. Huh? She wanted to glare at him, cause that was the only thing she could do.

“She might not survive a night. And you need her. For the plan.” He emphasized on the word plan.

“If she looks more…” he couldn’t say the word, but Elina got what he was saying. She was already bad enough.

“The dance is two day away, we need to get it before then. Only then we get Gilbert, on our side.”

“Why do I feel there’s something more to this. Do you like her that much.” Aziel rolled his eyes. He saying business and he just had to ruined it.

“No sir.” But he can’t say, why he pitied her, he doesn’t want her to end up like the other girls Kenzo had.

“Take her out and have her cleaned up. Tell Sarah to be here in five and have her gone through the necessary steps.”

“Don’t you think Sara would be too harsh on her.”

Whatever they were saying she couldn’t understand. And she didn’t care to.

“Who would do it then? You?” He asked.

“Getting her involved in the plan is a risk as well, ain’t you aware of that”

“I’m Sir.”

“Very good, Take her out” he replied and walked out of the the room. He squat beside Elina and help her up. She didn’t resist when he carried her out of the room and shut the door.

He placed her gently on the chair, and helping her with her glasses. And he left her side, returning quickly with food and water. For her to eat.

Elina grabbed the plate hungrily before he could dropped it, eating from it with her hands. Aziel chuckled taking a seat beside her.

“Eat slowly so you don’t choke.”

She looked at him for a second and continue stuffing her face in the meal. Eating like she was gonna die tomorrow.

“You need more?”

She nodded, stretching the plate to him. He stood up, taking the empty plate from her hand.

He went back to the kitchen. Meanwhile she gulped down the water and exhale. She felt alive again. She dropped the glass and saw Aziel coming in with a her food. She hadn’t an idea what she was eating before, all she wanted was to fill her stomach.

She took the food from him and and stare at it, bacon and eggs. Was this was she at a while ago. Just as she was about taking a bite, she saw Kenzo coming down the stairs while buttoning his shirt. He raised his head up and his eyes caught hers on him, with the bacon on her hands.

She couldn’t dare to put them in her mouth, she dropped them back in the plate. His burning gaze was on her and she returned it with a glare.

She was scared of him. He could easily tore her with his grip. His height was intimidating as well, she looks so small beside him. What he did to Ray, she couldn’t say how terrible she felt, she don’t know if he’s fine or not, she’d saw him, shot him on his shoulders. He could survive that couldn’t he?

Still yet, she can’t be so sure.

“Have you called Sara.” He said when he was down the stairs.

“She’ll be here soon.”

He returned his gaze to Elina, who looked away.

“You said you would do anything, get this done and I’ll know what to do to you”

What should I get done?

She wanted to asked but couldn’t, the word hanged in her throat she couldn’t bring them out. Instead she turned to Aziel, with a questioning glance, he shrugged his shoulders.

Kenzo glanced between them and shook his head walking out of the house. But halted on turned back at them.

“You know the rule too Well Aziel, no intimacy between my workers.”

“Yes sir.”

He didn’t leave, instead he walked back to the them, instructing Aziel to seat elsewhere. Which he did, taking two seat away from Elina. While he sat between them.

“I thought you were leaving. Sir”

“change of plan.”

Elina felt the tension in the air and quietly ate her meal. Without looking either of them.

“I’m here babies!” Elina snapped her head to the direction of the voice, a girl came in, dressed in a crazy jean and a crop top, revealing her tattoos on her belly and a few piercing on her belly button.

“Who is the babies?” Elina voiced out her thought. She didn’t know she said it out loud until the six pairs of eyes, stare at her. She flashed them a nervous smile and and looked away.

“Is She the one?” Sara asked, with a clear unbelief in her voice.

“What can she do? She’s a nerd!” She yelled.

“We ain’t blind we can see that, that’s why you’re here” Aziel replied her with indignant glare.

“How did you even get her Kenzo?”

She was the only one who dare call his name, they had a thing going on.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

Reasons he doesn’t like her, she was too bossy and arrogant.

Kenzo didn’t reply her, instead he stare at her as she sat beside him. So he would do the talking.

“Are you helping or not”

“I wasn’t talking to you Aziel. You should know your place.”

“Shouldn’t you know you place as well, like be in a guest house or a stripper club or something.”

Aziel chuckled. Making her face burned. With anger. She knew just what to do to her, nothing she hate more than being talked back to by a lowlife and a stupid nerd. Let’s see if she would be able to get out of Hazard hold.

Kenzo throw a shrewd glance at Elina and she pretended, she hadn’t said a word.

Finishing the bacon.

Kenzo looked away, what’s wrong with him, why was he staring too long? He stood up from the chair, Aziel stood up as well.

“You know what to do Sara. Meet us there, at 7pm, everything has been in place. Come with her by then.”

He ordered and walked out with Aziel beside him.

Sara smirked at Elina when they were alone.

“I see you came to dine with the devil.”
