Black Rose: Revenge Of The Callous Heiress

Chapter 17

"Sister!" Sophia's sweet gentle voice rang out in the room as she rushed to the bed and sat on the space bedside Rose.

"Sister, why haven't you stepped out of your room since all these days? I heard from mother that you've arrived but you've refused to let anyone apart from Aunt Paige and a few maids. I can't believe that you didn't want to see your little Sophia too." Sophia ranted all of her complaints the moment she sat down. Ever since the day that Beatrice had told her that Rose was around she tried to come into Rose room but was unable to.

Today she had been able to enter the room because she knew that Rose only opened the door at this time for the maids to come and clean the room. She had woken up earlier than normal so that she could get here before the maids.

Rose, on the other hand, placed her cell phone beside her as she looked at Sophia. The last person she wanted to see was but she knew it was inevitable not to bump into Sophia.

She gritted her teeth as she recalled the memory of the night she died. Rose felt her hand itching to grab Sophia on the spot to kill her but held back her urge and maintained a neutral face.

'It wouldn't be fun if I just kill you right here. I want you to suffer more than I did and beg on your knees for death.' Rose thought to herself in her mind.

"Why are you here, Sophia?" Despite the fact that she desired to strangle her right there and then, Rose composed herself and held back the immense anger inside her.

She had a quick inspection of Sophia's face. It looked younger, yet still flirtatious and pretentious. A sense of resentment was brewing in her.

"What do you mean by that sister? Of course, I'm here to see you. Are you angry at me?" Sophia asked as she grabbed one of Rose's hands.

"Actually, I came here to ask you for a favor." Sophia muttered gently in a voice that Rose could hear.

Rose narrowed her eyes. Why did this scene seem familiar to her? In her past life, when she had arrived Sophia also did the same thing coming into her room and asking for a favor. Even though their relationship wasn't really close, Rose had given into that favor. "What is the favor?" Rose asked, wanting to confirm if Sophia would ask for the same favor she had asked in her past life.

"The thing is, I need to go out in a few days time and I would need some jewelry to match my clothes. I don't want to tell my mother because she would refuse to buy another piece of jewelry for me, considering the ones I have but none of them would go well with the dress I picked. So, I wanted to ask sister to borrow a few pieces of jewelry since you have a lot of them." Sophia revealed as she looked up at Rose with cute puppy eyes, hoping that her cute acting would work on Rose.

Gently she took Sophia's hands away and asked indifferently, "Jewelry?"

She then remembered that her mother left a lot of expensive jewelry for her when she died, and Sophia had been tricking her and taking them away from her. She was too naïve to care and would just let her have them. Thinking back, she felt regret and rage roaring. 'Not again in this life. All that you had taken from me shall be returned. And more, she would have to pay back.' Rose thought.

Sophia had not noticed the changes in Rose as she kept on begging, "Please, my dear sis. I know that you loved me the most, even though we haven't spent much time together. Surely you would like me to look nice at the party. Right?"

'Such an idiot she is. As long as I pretend to be close to her as a sister, she will give me everything I ask for. She's just like a little child that no one shows love to, it would be to win her over with this act.' Sophia thought to herself.

Of course, the truth was that she had never seen Rose as a sister. For her, there was only one sibling, and that was her younger brother.

"Sure," Rose answered. In just a matter of seconds as she sat down on the bed, various ideas and plans flowed in her head, and she knew what to do.

"Go and wait outside for me. I will get dressed and join you soon." Rose said as she stood up from the bed and led Sophia out of the room.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Sophia smiled broadly, thinking what an easy trick, and spoke her usual honey-coated words of insincerity, "Thank you, sis. You are the best. You are so good to me."

Rose nodded her head, knowing it all.

'Smile your smiles now because I will make sure that you won't be smiling very soon.' She thought to herself and closed the door before heading to the bathroom to take a shower.

The first thing that she did after she stepped out of the bathroom was lock her door, so that no one would enter her room. Then she walks into her 30sq. meter walk-in closet and roams her eyes around the glass shelves. She couldn't stop herself from smiling. Her mother always loves to dress her up. That is the reason why her closet is always full of beautiful and branded clothes.

And it seems like Paige had not only just cleaned her room because most of the clothes that she was seeing were something that were about her size and some of them were bigger for her. It shows that the clothes here are changed regularly. Rose made up her mind to go shopping for new clothes since most of the ones here aren't to her liking and weren't her size as well.

A few moments later, Rose walked out of her room for the first time ever since she arrived at the mansion. She made her way down the staircase to the living room where she had told Sophia to wait for her.
