28. I Feel Like Killing This Bitch
Lily soon got inside her car and then drove back to work. In a couple of hours, she was back home, depressed and sad. She didn’t know if it makes sense to put the blame on Drake Bell.
While inside her room, laying on the bed and lost in thought, the door to her room opened slowly. She quickly jerked up and asked angrily, “who in the world can’t knock before opening my door?”
With the door slightly opened, the person behind the door spoke, “I have been knocking for the past five minutes but didn’t get a response, I just want to be sure you are fine.”
Lily didn’t even know that Drake Bell had been knocking since. She was so lost in thought that she got absolutely lost in her thought.
“You can come in,” Lily said, only then did Drake Bell open the door widely. Drake Bell was dressed in a white t shirt and a black pant trouser that assentuate his slim body perfectly.
Just by looking at her face, he could tell that she was extremely sad and depressed, “Lily, you look sad ” Drake Bell said, standing beside her bed. When he saw that she wouldn’t utter any word, he dragged a small stool closer and sat on it.
“I’m yet to receive your friend’s CV, you can trust me on this, I’ll get her a job and I honestly do not mean to cause the chaos that happened at your workplace earlier today.”
“Is that so?” Lily sat even more upright, the duvet wrapped around her body, “then why don’t you give me the protrait at home? You know how strict your uncle is, right? He fired Ella on the spot at a time when we were checking out the protrait.”
“I just thought to surprise you at work. I felt like giving you at home might be too boring but don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”
“Handle? While Ella was on her way home after getting fired by Alexander Bell, she had a terrible accident that landed her in the ICU, I don’t know if she will survive or not.”
Took a while before Drake Bell spoke, “what hospital? I’ll send my assistant there to ensure she gets her immediate treatment.”
Perhaps, Drake Bell could help, right? She hates to seek help from someone like Drake Bell but this was her friend and she’s in a life and death situation, she better put her pride aside.
“At Bridger’s hospital, it will cost a lot to treat her,” Lily said.
Drake Bell asked of Ella’s full name and all necessary details, after Lily told him all, he immediately picked up his phone and called Sarah, his female assistant to aid Ella at the hospital.
“She will be fine, trust me.” Drake Bell assured after hanging up the call.
Since Drake Bell had stepped in to help, Lily sighed and hoped that her friend will be back to her feet again.
Drake Bell then looked around the room but didn’t see the protrait, “where is the protrait?”
“Inside my car, I did not have the strength to bring it inside,” Lily said truthfully.
“But did you like it?” Drake Bell asked.
“I do…” She couldn’t deny how much she loves the protrait.
“And the background? I know you will love that. You talked about wishing to go there many times during our early years of marriage, I’m ready to take you there now, let me,” Drake Bell requested.
While Lily was thinking of what answer to give him, Drake Bell’s phone rang. Seeing that it was Sarah, he answered it.
“Sir… The doctor said someone else had already paid for miss Ella’s medical bill.” Sarah’s voice came through.
“Find whom the person is…”
“I already did, sir. It’s Mr. Alexander Bell.”
Drake Bell hung the call angrily then said to Lily, “didn’t you say Alexander Bell fired Ella?”
“That’s right.”
“Then why is he paying for her medical bills. Sarah told me he already paid before we can even make an attempt to pay,” Drake Bell said, wondering why Alexander would pay a medical fee of an ex staff of his company.
“I honestly have no idea how he even knew that Ella got into an accident,” Lily was also confused. Then she summoned courage to call Alexander Bell. The call almost went unanswered before he eventually answered the call.
“Sir… I was told you pay Ella’s medical fee… Thank you so much, sir.”
“Don’t!” He suddenly chirped. “I’m responsible indirectly for her misfortune but you can’t blame me, I don’t like it when people go against the company’s rules.”
“I understand, sir.” After a few seconds of awkward silence, the call came to an end.
Drake Bell felt useless, he stood with a serious frown on his face, “you could have told me that Alexander would help, I wouldn’t need to have sent my assistant over there…”
“But I did not know he will help…” Lily didn’t know why Drake Bell was angry at her. It’s not as if she knew Alexander would go and pay Ella’s medical fee considering Ella was now his ex staff.
Drake Bell walked out without saying any more word. Lily sighed heavily and rested back on the chair. She just shut her mind trying not to think about anything. But she can only hope that Ella would get better.
Whereas, Amelia was frustrated at home after calling Drake Bell repeatedly but wouldn’t answer the call. Mila was not home during this period so she had no one to pour her frustration on. She can only keep calling Drake Bell even it means calling him a thousand times.
At the end, Drake Bell answered the call after eighty seven missed calls. Before Amelia could speak, he spoke firstly, “I didn’t forget that I’m following you to get you a wedding gown and ring tomorrow, so calm down.”
“Drake Bell… I was just missing you,” she said, actually, the main reason why she was calling Drake Bell was to remind him of their appointment tomorrow. She didn’t want him to forget since he knows that he doesn’t necessarily like her anymore nor give attention to anything that pertains to her. She was surprised that Drake Bell stated her main purpose of calling as soon as he answered the call.
“Lily’s friend is in coma, I need to tend to her so please stop disturbing me with calls,” although Drake Bell wasn’t attending to anyone, he just used that as an excuse so that Amelia can stop bothering him with calls.
“Oh! Okay…” Amelia said, after which Drake Bell hung the call at once.
Amelia sighed in frustration, not only did he care for Lily, he even cares for his friend? She thought and called one of the bodyguards of Drake Bell and asked him to find out about which of Lily’s friend is in a coma and what hospital she is.”
It didn’t take time before the bodyguard got to her with all the information she needed.
Amelia then drove over to the hospital and pretended to be one of Ella’s family. Although she wasn’t permitted to enter the ICU, she was still able to find her way in. Amelia soon entered the ward and then saw Ella with all sort of medical equipment around her.
“Why do I feel like killing this bitch…” Amelia mumbled to herself. She just hated the fact that Drake Bell cared for Lily and everyone around her. Amelia then looked around and saw CCTV camera in the room. Killing her would means going to jail plus this woman hasn’t done any wrong to her.
It’s just that she feels like if she kills her, Lily would feel the pain which is exactly what she needed. For Lily to fall into a deep pain but any sort of pain that can not force Lily to pack out of Drake Bell’s house is not worthy of what she can stress herself over.
Amelia walked closer to the woman and the huge to strangle her to death increases but she controlled herself and walked out. She just want to know whom this Lily’s friend is, perhaps, instead of killing her, maybe she can be of use to her. Manipulate her and use her against Lily, or just use her to convince Lily to get the fuck out of New York.Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
She then took Ella’s picture and walked out.
