Chapter 19: He's Also Very Loyal to Her
Everyone held their breath in anticipation of the answer.
The Stunning Club's owner had always been mysterious. No one had ever seen her to the point where
she resembled a legend. It only fueled people's curiosity.
The night club made her sound like a goddess with unrivaled beauty. You could say about half the men
in the club came here just to catch a glimpse of her.
But this owner never showed up no matter how much money was offered. Her ownership to the land
had even been contested before just to force her to show up, but she never did.
Waldo was one of the people who did that. He had used five million dollars two months ago just to try
and have her show up, but to no avail.
"Oh my." Fleur gave a gentle laugh, as if wanting to keep a low profile, yet there was still an undeniable
proudness about her. "I am indeed." Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Waldo clutched his heart and gasped internally, "My god!"
Olivier glanced at her briefly but his expression did not change.
Simon laughed, as if mocking her. "This is truly a privilege then. Some idiots threw hundreds of millions
of dollars just to see you but you never showed up once. What made you decide to grace us with your
presence tonight?"
He glanced at Olivier.
"Because of my Olivier here," Fleur said brightly. "Treating his friends is decent manners. The cost of
this wine doesn't bother me."
"You're pursuing him?" Simon asked.
"Isn't it obvious?"
"Isn't that creating your own suffering? Everyone in Y City knows Master Olivier has someone he's
romantically interested in already, and he's so very loyal to her." Waldo chirped, eyes beaming with
interest.
Fleur looked at Olivier. In the dim light, his sharp eyes carried a faint but handsome indifference.
Fleur curled her lips. "It's reaching the highest target possible that brings the fun, whether it's the
process or the result. Not to mention this is Master Olivier himself. Wouldn't that be such an
accomplishment?"
Waldo clutched his chest again, "Any chance you'd come for this target then?" He cried internally:
"Damn, and to think all the money he wasted!"
Just as Fleur was about to speak, Olivier who had not spoken until now, said: "Get out."
Waldo blinked but did not respond.
The others also looked at him strangely. Olivier rose and swept his gaze over all of them. "None of you
can afford this wine."
Bullshit, we're not dirt poor.
Many of the people left without a word. One of the singers stared at Fleur for a moment, contempt
evident in her eyes, before leaving.
As Simon reached the door, he turned back around, eyes falling onto Fleur.
She curled her fingers.
Simon then turned back to pick up the wine. "Miss Leroy, could you gift this wine to me?"
Fleur did not expect that at all.
Her fingers had curled into a fist by this point. His face was so like Samuel's.
"O..." Before she finished, Olivier's voice came from behind her, "Do you want some shit to go with
that?"
"..." Fleur was speechless.
Simon stared at Olivier, who stared back. One was dark and restrained while the other was probing.
Their invisible confrontation seemed to solidify something, as if raising a chip in a game of poker.
This chip for a example, being a woman.
This woman, for example, being Fleur Leroy.
"I'll buy it then. Name your price."
"It's not for sale." Olivier had never held Fleur on his own accord, but he always had this knack of
hooking people in without having to move. Fleur was undoubtedly hooked in.
"Olivier." Simon smiled. "I'll come and get it another day. You don't drink anyways, so you won't be
worried about losing this wine." He seemed to hint at something.
Simon left without another word.
