Chapter 351
Chapter 351
I blinked up at Ryan in confusion. His grip on my wrist was firm, and he was standing very close to me
that he’d have done on a normal day, hence my confusion.
My mouth parted and moved, but nothing came forth at first, and to my confusion, Ryan took a slow
step towards me, making me feel almost closed in.
His other hand came into my line of sight and I watched as he reached out, aiming for my face. Before I
could do anything, his thumb was brushing against my hairline, and after a few fleeting seconds, it
came off with paint stained on it.
“You’ve got paint up here as well.” He said while waving the paint stained finger in my face. I blinked at
it while my brain reeled, it took a few seconds for my brain to finally register what he had said.
“Oh.” I mumbled as he nodded his hand once again.
I glanced down at my wrist which was still engulfed by his hand, and in a fleeting moment, his grip
loosened from my wrist as he took a step backwards, creating a little distance between us.
“Did you want to tell me something?” I asked after a moment, still feeling a little bit confused, because I
could have sworn that he had been about to tell me something when he had held my hand some time Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
ago.
He remained frozen for a few moments before finally nodding his head in response.
I knew I was right.
“Oh? What’s it about?” I asked after that, but he shook his head as he took another step backwards.
“I don’t remember what I had been about to say any longer.” He confessed, an abashed, almost shy
expression crossing his face at that moment.
I felt a giggle bubble out of my throat as I made to speak.
“Oh, that’s not a problem, it happens to me as well.” I reassured him and he offered me a little smile
that warmed my heart.
“I heard that’s a sign of stress, be sure to reduce the stress you go through, that usually works for me.”
I offered and he nodded his head once again.
“You can just come to me whenever you recollect what you had been about to tell me some time ago.” I
offered as well and he offered me a thumbs up.
He turned around after that and made his way out of the workroom, pausing at the doorway to glance
behind himself for a fleeting second. I waved at him, already expecting the nod before it came, right
before he disappeared from my line of sight.
Once I was alone once again, I puffed out a deep breath and let my back collide softly with the wall.
My mind flashed back to the image of him holding my wrist in his hand. That was the closest physical
contact Ryan has ever initiated, and I honestly hadn’t expected his hand to feel so warm around my
wrist.
I wonder what it was that he had wanted to tell me.
Perhaps he finally wanted to open up to me about something about himself for once, but has chickened
out at the last moment.
From all that I could gather about Ryan, he was someone who kept to himself so much, so of course, it
had made me happy to know that he had felt comfortable around me enough to want to confide in me.
And how he had held my wrist in his hand.
That was definitely what I hadn’t seen coming, but I didn't mind it.
Perhaps we were already becoming friends.
I wasn’t sure of how Luca would have reacted if he had walked into the room when Ryan had been
holding my wrist, but one thing I was sure of, was that he was going to be pissed as hell, that one was
obvious enough.
Luca was possessive.
And unsurprisingly, I found that really hot.
I pushed off the wall and made my way around the room, turning some finished drawings around as I
made my way out of the work room and shut the door behind me.
I made my way up the stairs and face timed Kayla as soon as I was in the bedroom, confirming if our
scheduled time which we had both agreed to meet today was still on.
After confirming, I hopped into the showers.
———
Kayla and I were walking side by side, laughing hard at a funny video which we had just seen on
Kayla’s phone.
We were both walking inside a large mall, and I didn’t need to glance behind us to realize that our
guards were tailing us, while also keeping a good, respectful distance between us.
Kayla had ginger braids that matched her so much, making her appear even more beautiful. The ginger
dress she had on was wrapped around her curves like a second skin, making heads turn at every few
seconds.
“So, what’s Luca saying about the art expansion?” She asked, nudging me a little.
I shrugged as I brushed my hair out of my face.
“I don’t know, he still insists on it being super dangerous for me, and I don’t doubt his words, because
well, after all what I saw unfold before me when we traveled, I realized just how dangerous any
situation could get.”
I waved my hand after that. “And he said I didn’t need to work for my own money, since I could just
spend his.“
Kayla chuckled at that. “Yeah, I did kind of imagine he’d say that. That’s actually hot, for him to not want
you stressing at all for your own money.”
I shrugged once again. “Yeah, I guess? Anyways, so what do I do? In order to get him to agree to this.”
“Well, you were probably agreeing with the points he was making when asking him if you could expand
your handiwork. When bringing it up tonight, don’t listen to all of his points, just keep on insisting until
he agrees.”
“You’re sure?” I asked and she nodded firmly.
“Yup. Just try it, and don’t forget to be all over him, while pouting at him. I’m sure he’d not be able to
say ‘no’ to you after that.”
