Work Leave?
“WHAT?! Raya?” Haris turned his face to the other direction, his eyes blinked several times while licking his lower lip in panic. Afraid that if he told her that Raya was Gifer’s ex-lover, Belvina would be even more hurt.
“You know, Raya is Gifer’s ex, Vina. Raya is cunning, eleven-twelve with Nara.” Haris warned.
“Yes, I know, Haris. Even I already knew that the one who pushed me down the stairs and caused me to lose my memory was Raya too. In the past, she was a haughty, arrogant girl. But, I think Raya has changed, yesterday she told me everything and cried in front of me.” Belvina tried to explain to Haris.
“What did she tell you about?” Haris asked.
“But Raya told me about the chronology before Gifer got into an accident. She told me everything and regretted it, let’s just wait when Raya will start apologizing to Gifer.” Belvina said confidently.
“Yes, hopefully we won’t be fooled by her.” Belvina just nodded in response.
“Oh yeah, I also know who saved Gifer from the accident. At that time, Gifer’s car almost exploded, if it wasn’t for him, maybe Gifer wouldn’t have survived. I’m thankful that Gifer survived and can be in a relationship with me like now. And it turns out that he is my own boss.” Belvina explained.
“What? So, your boss saved Gifer?” Haris asked.
“Yes, his name is Ian.” Haris widened his eyes in surprise at Diya’s narration.

The sky that was dark black, has now turned bright, gradually fading its color. Although it was still covered by the clouds that moved according to the reddish-colored cardinal directions, which brought the sun to move upward little by little until it broke the surface of the white clouds. The dew that dripped on the grass of the Jakarta City park made it even more lush and green, making a man named Ian daydream about something in the park. Because he was only silent like a statue after his morning jog, his brother who was also there wanted to know what his younger brother was daydreaming about. He started waving both hands in front of his younger brother.
“Ian? You’re daydreaming oh?” His brother’s words made him instantly wake up from his reverie.
“Huh? Ah, yes. Just a little remembering something unimportant, brother.” Ian replied.
“Heleh, you remember the most about that girl, right? The one who didn’t love you back?” Ian nodded in response.
“Didn’t you tell me, don’t expect things that can’t happen, it’s not love, it’s just your obsession. Remember what you said a few weeks ago, right?” Freedy reminded.
“Yes, I remember it, bro. I’ve also been trying to like the girl who liked me first. I hope I can really like her, brother.” Ian said with a smile.
“Yes, you should be able to, Yan. Fight for it.” Freedy suggested while smiling at his younger brother.
“Let’s go home, it’s already late. I’ll be late for work.” Ian immediately checked the cellphone in his pants pocket to see what time it was.
“Uh yes, Sis. It’s already 6:30, we have to go home soon so we can leave for work early.” Ian said.

On the side street of Jakarta, this morning there was a girl wearing a peach-colored short-sleeved shirt combined with a black plaid-patterned thigh-length skirt, wavy back hair that was deliberately colored caramel, walking towards her shop. Who else if not Raya, usually she would leave using her car, but this time she chose to walk instead, counting exercise. After all, the distance between her house and the shop was quite close. She also didn’t ask Indra to take her, even he didn’t know that Raya was leaving so early. When she was walking while looking at the scenery around her, her arm was suddenly pulled to the left, her mouth silenced into a small alley that was very quiet. Raya opened the gag in her mouth. She was shocked to see who had dragged her into this narrow, deserted alley.
“N-Nnara?” Raya’s speech was stuttered because she was afraid that Nara would find out about her having broken her promise by leaking the secret about Gifer’s accident at that time.
“Yes, so what, Raya? Are you surprised?” Nara asked.
“Why did you drag me here, huh? Aren’t we done with our business?” Hyuna said.
“Done? Tsk, tsk, tsk, don’t you know or are you deliberately avoiding me, Raya?” Nara gripped Raya’s chin tightly. Raya’s fear increased as the questions intimidated her more and more.
“W-what do you mean, Nara?” Asked Raya with her beautiful face that already did not accept being treated like this by Nara.
“I just want to warn you, if you break any of the promises we’ve made, it won’t just be me, it’ll be you too. Do you understand that?” Nara threatened as he pushed Raya’s body to the asphalt.
“I understand, Nara.”
“Don’t mess with me, Raya. This time I’m letting you go, not because I don’t know, I know everything, so I’m warning you about this!” Nara warned while pointing his index finger at Raya who was still on the ground.
“Don’t try to thwart my plans!” Nara continued as she walked away, leaving Raya still slumped on the asphalt.
“This can’t be allowed, Nara, I’ll make sure you rot in jail too!” laughed Raya no less emotionally, not accepting being treated like that by Nara. While she was frantic with her emotions, her cell phone suddenly rang, displaying Indra’s name there, she immediately picked up the phone, putting the phone to her right ear.
“Hello, what’s up, dear?”

On the other side, more precisely Gifer and Haris’ apartment, now Gifer began to open his eyes. As usual, all he saw was darkness, even so he knew that he had started to sober up from his hangover and woke up from his sleep. Gifer felt his head very heavy, he couldn’t even get up because he was too dizzy. Gifer’s head was like being hit by a big rock. His girlfriend had gone home first because she had to work. To his surprise, he was already in bed.
“Did Haris move me to the room?” He asked himself.
“If it was Haris, didn’t I drink alcohol with Belvina last night too?” Gifer held his head using his right hand. He wanted to get up, but because he was too dizzy, he collapsed back onto his bed.
“AKH!”
“Crazy, after not drinking alcohol for so long, this much effect on my body? Aish, I have to get up and go to work.” Wondered Gifer who still forced himself to get up from his sleeping position, changing into a sitting position while still holding his head. He used his left hand to feel around and left the room, looking for the whereabouts of the friend who had just escorted Belvina to the front of the apartment.
“Haris? Where are you?” Gifer asked. The one who was called had just closed the main door of the apartment. Seeing Gifer who was staggering made Haris worried.
“Gif? Are you awake?”
“Yes, as you can see.” Haris approached Gifer and invited his friend to sit on the dining table chair.
“Here, sit down, I’ll make some hot tea for you.”
“Ris, what time is it? We don’t have time for that. Let’s get going.” Gifer said that he couldn’t relax if he was in a situation like this.
“No, Gif. This time you shouldn’t go to work first.”
“Why, who’s the CEO here, huh?” Gifer pressed his lips together while folding his arms across his chest.
“Yes, yes, you are the CEO. But, today Belvina forbade you to go to work.”
“Why is that?”
“Don’t ask too many questions, you’ll find out later.” Not getting an answer from his best friend made Gifer wonder even more.
‘What does Vina have planned? Why can’t I work today?” Gifer thought.
