Chapter 0087
"Best for us?" Hunter's face twisted with obvious mockery. "You mean you want a quick divorce so you can be with Zac without delay?"
Earlier at the restaurant, Hunter had restrained himself from going over and punching Zac, all to save Mia some face.
"Fine, whatever you say. Are you done? If so, catch a cab back to the office," Mia replied coolly. She had driven herself here, but after Hunter once complained that her car was uncomfortable, she had stopped offering him rides. Hunter frowned. "A cab? Do you know how many people have sat in those? They're filthy. No way I'm getting in one of those!"
Mia rolled her eyes internally. This man was impossible to please. Fine, she would wait with him.
Then, as if on cue, the driver arrived. Hunter pulled her toward the car.
"Home," he ordered, as they got in.
Mia's heart skipped a beat. Going home in the middle of the day?
He couldn't actually be planning to finish what he had started back in the restroom, could he?
After three years of marriage, she knew all too well that Hunter had a strong appetite in that department. At the start of their marriage, he had kept her up nearly every night, with no end to his stamina.
It only tapered off after a while, but anytime they shared a bed, he still wanted her. In the past, when she still loved him and wasn't pregnant, she had willingly gone along with his desires.
But now, with her mind set on divorce and a pregnancy to consider, there was no way she would let that happen again.
Yet, the stakes were high. If she didn't keep him happy, her grandmother's medication and care would be at risk.
"Hunter, I have a lot of work to do at the office this afternoon. I really can't afford to miss it," she said quickly, hoping he would let it slide.
Hunter looked at her, his expression unreadable. "Mia, you can't tell that I'm angry?" he said flatly. "Jenna would've picked up on it by now. She'd know just what to say to calm me down." Mia rolled her eyes inwardly. Was he seriously bragging to her about Jenna's attentiveness?
She gave him a dry reply. "I must
have missed it. I'm practically blind without my glasses." Inside, she
couldn't help but think he was showing off that he had someone who doted on him. Talk about a turn-off.
Hunter pinched her cheek and said, "You keep talking tough. Just wait. I'll have you begging for mercy soon enough!"
Most of the conflicts between them always seemed to end up resolved in bed. It was almost like an unspoken habit between them. Mia's face turned bright red, and she looked away, embarrassed.
In front of others, Hunter always
seemed so aloof and restrained. But around her, he didn't hold back with his suggestive remarks and teasing words, each one enough to make her Blush and her heart race He acted just like a rogue.
Seeing her flushed face, Hunter couldn't resist pulling her into his arms, leaning down to kiss her deeply.
The driver quickly raised the partition, muttering to himself, "Mr. Jasper is really impatient!"
Mia tried to push him away, her voice muffled and breathless, "Let... let go!"
He took advantage of the moment, deepening the kiss and leaving no inch unexplored.
In the three years they had been married, Hunter had gone from an inexperienced novice to a man who knew her body even better than she did.
He knew exactly how to tease and tempt, leaving Mia breathless and weak in his arms in no time.
He chuckled softly, nipping at her ear with a mischievous smile. "Already giving in, Mrs. Hunter? There's more in store for you."
Mia suddenly snapped back to her

slipped down, leaving her partly
undressed. A blush rose to her cheeks as she was overwhelmed by
the embarrassment flooding over her.
She took a deep breath and quickly adjusted her clothes. She then sat up straight, a wary look on her face as she glared at Hunter. "The driver is right up front! Stop it!"
In the past, she would go along with him whenever he wanted, but now, she couldn't bear it. Just the thought of him having that kind of intimacy with Jenna made her feel disgusted. Hunter looked at her with a faint, teasing smile and said, "Charles, pull over."
