Chapter 192 The loss

"Where is my daughter?" I asked him and I did not hesitate. I shot one bullet into his feet. He cried out in pain...

the abi

ship!" He screamed.

"Where?" 1 shouted, ready to shoot another in him. "In the rare. A blue container."

"Go Riccardo, I'll take care of him." Alexandra pointed her gun at him. I looked at her and I nodded. I ran up to the ship. Containers after containers. I felt like I would never find the one I was looking got, when finally 1 saw it. It was the only blue one, and I could see the number, number twenty. It took me time to open it, and what I saw made my already aching heart hurt more. There were a few girls. Some of them looked at me, some of them just remained sitting, leaning against the wall, and my Alice was one of them. She held her knees, covering her head. She was motionless. I walked to her.

"Alice" First she did not move.

"Alice!" I called her a little louder. She lifted her head slowly to look at me. She had a wound on her head. There was dried blood on her hair and face.

I unwittingly clenched my fist. I loved her even when I have not known her, but now that she became the part of my life, I could not bear seeing her harmed. At that moment, I could not stop blaming myself for being careless, I was young, and I was at the beginning when I made a few mistakes, but since my father had let me lead our businesses alone, I made no mistakes at all. I was too confident. I swore that never going to happen again.

As she looked at me and she realised it was me, she stood up and hugged me before she started sobbing. I could not understand what she was saying, but finally, I wished I did not understand it at all.

"Gideon... Gideon is dead. They cut his neck. They killed him. I lost him. Gideon is dead"

This is what she repeated continuously. My heart ached to hear that. First, because I knew how much she was into him, and I knew that would be a long Journey for her to live with that loss, but I also remembered I did not even wait to know what happened to him. I only cared about Alice.

I did not like him at the beginning. He was a reckless and selfish guy before he got to know Alice. I would have never given him a job before. Even if I thought she would never change, for Alice, he did. He would have quit his life, his family, his pride. He even kneeled in front of his enemy for Alice. Because he loved her.

I held her tighter, then I caressed her back. What else could I do? I could not bring him back. The only thing that I could do was to be next to her and try to ease her pain. I finally lifted her up into my arms, as she did not want to move. The ship had to leave. Alice wrapped her arms around my neck and she held me tightly. She could not stop sobbing, but I did not blame her. I let her cry, I thought maybe it was better for her to let it out.

When we arrived and she looked at Charles, who sat on the floor in his own blood, she moved like she wanted me to put her down. I knew was wrong with her, but I let it be. She took a metal bar from the ground and she approached him. When she lifted the bar high up, I knew she completely lost it. But I didn't move to hold her back. She started to hit him everywhere, excluding his head. It was horrible to see her like this, and especially it was hard to listen to what she shouted at him.

"I fucking hate you! I fucking hate you! You bastard, you fucking rat!" she yelled.

"This is for my mother." and she hit him hard on his back. He curled up on the gr

ground, holding his head.

"This is for my c

childhood," and she hit him hard again.

"This is for taking me away from my father," and she hit him again.

"And this is for Gideon," she kneeled on him, pushing the bar against his neck, suffocating him. He begged for her, he cried, he was gasping for air. Soon, his head got purple, and eventually, Alice pulled the metal bar away.

*You don't deserve it. You don't deserve death. You deserve to suffer in the time you left to live. I'll make sure you will regret being born." She screamed at him while she threw the metal bar on the ground.

Charles cried on the ground, curled up. Alice came back to me and held me tight, I kept her in my arms.

When Carlo arrived, Alexandra came to us and she held Alice from behind. We both hugged her. She looked at me with the question in her eyes. I shook my head, letting her know that probably Gideon did not make it. Her eyes became teary, and she hugged Alice tighter while laying her head on hers. "Carlo!" I called him, but I didn't let Alexandra and Alice go.

"Yes." He answered me immediately, keeping his eyes on that bastard.

"Take this piece of shit to a safe place and arrange a container for him to travel back to Los Angeles."

He nodded, apparently liking my idea.

"Yes, Signore."

Then he held the collar of his jacket, and pulled the crying Charles away, leaving blood marks on the ground. I moved to be able to lift Alice back into my arms, and we walked back to the car together.

The staff probably understood what happened, as they did not want to interfere. They acted like nothing happened around them. When we reached the car, I put Alice in the back seat. Alexandra sat next to her and kept her in her arms on the way back. I made a few phonecalls whilst we were on the road. Seth was the first person I called.
