Chapter 18 : The Negotiation
Chapter 18 : The Negotiation
Alpha Clark and his family arrived at the southern warrior pack after noon. They were taken to the lounge room in the pack house to wait for Alpha Roman.
The Alpha's family sighed enviously at the lavish pack house. It has the best things that any Alpha would want in his pack house.
Unlike the blue stone pack house that could only be called average in appearance.
David nudged Jonas and said, "Let's redecorate the pack house after the alliance.
We'll probably have better resources soon.
It won't be a big deal to spend some money."
Jonas nodded in agreement.
They were young and foolish, Alpha Clark frowned when he heard his son talk.
Sometimes he was worried to pass on the pack to him, but David was his only son.
He was spoiled by Alpha Clark and Luna Esther to the point where he didn't have a boundary. But that wasn't the biggest problem for the blue stone pack.
If they didn't manage to get this alliance with southern warrior pack then blue stone will soon be over. They didn't have much left in their hands, and one by one the families were relocating. If this carried on, then the legacy of blue stone will be forgotten.
Alpha Clark wouldn't let that happen.
That was why he put forth the elemental. He didn't want to reveal the information about Charlotte being an elemental but inorder to save Blue Alpha Roman came to receive then within a short ten minutes.
He had to adjust his mood to meet this Alpha.
Alpha Roman had a habit of looking into the backgrounds of people whom he met.
Alpha Clark and his family were also checked.
After looking through their information, Alpha Roman didn't know what to feel about them.
Alpha Clark was a mediocre Alpha at best.
Although he took care of the pack as a whole, he wouldn't go out of his way to do something that can be solved by other (wrong and easy) means.
His Luna was nothing special either.
There wasn't much to note about the woman except except for her bad nature towards others.
There was their son.
Alpha Roman could only sigh for blue stone pack's future.
David was one useless man.
Not only did he play with woman back and forth, he was also addicted to gambling. He has an envious nature which will lead him to his downfall.
The Jonas boy who was David's best friend was the same as him.
Alpha Roman suddenly felt like Easton was very capable as a beta.
At least compared to useless dipshits like them.
Alpha Roman entered the lounge and received their greetings, then took them to his office.
The superiority in their world came from the capability of the person.
The more powerful the person, the more respectable.
Age towards Alpha Clark or anyone else in this world whom he didn't see worthy of it.
The office was just as beautiful as the lounge.
The burgundy color decor was well matched with Alpha Roman's personality.
Alpha Roman had them sir on the couch in his office since they were four of them.He sat on the single seat before them.
"I don't want to waste our time, so I will get straight to the point." Alpha Clark spoke first, "Do you really have an elemental in your pack?"
"Yes we do.She is still a child but is showing great improvements in her abilities. She is a fire elemental."
Alpha Clark informed, "As you must have already found out, our blue stone pack is in a dire need of help.An alliance with the southern warrior pack, one of the greatest packs in the world, will save us from dying." Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"We are not one of the strongest Alpha Clark,"
Alpha Roman crossed his foot over the other, looking like an emperor on his throne, "We are the strongest."
Alpha Clark's flattering smile trembled slightly. He didn't let his composure be off.
"Of course. The southern warrior pack has been the greatest ever since the last generation and Alpha Roman's leadership has proven to surpass your father." Alpha Clark said, "This alliance may prove to
be beneficial to both of us.Blue stone will be saved, warrior pack."
Alpha Roman didn't let it show on his face, but internally he thought Alpha clark was trying to play him.
Something in his heart told him not to believe this old man's words.
"Is the elemental aware." Alpha Roman asked.
Alpha Clark nodded, "She is well aware. She knows what it means to be an elemental and is making considerable progress. She is only a child but knows a lot."
"It's a female?"
Alpha Roman's words had a deeper meaning.
Having a female elemental was not a big deal, however, keeping her in the pack was the biggest problem that one could face.
Alpha Roman didn't have any prejudice against females, his own soldiers had a whole squad of them and at times they performed better than his men.
But a female would eventually find his mate and leave the pack.
The Elemental's fate was the same.
Alpha Clark easily caught on to the hint.He smiled, thinking he was smart.
He explained in a self praising tone, "The girl is not of age yet so she hasn't found her mate.
My son has proposed to her already and her family and the girl has agreed to become his chosen mate.
It was an easy choice.
The girl will remain in blue stone as the Luna even after the age of eighteen."
Alpha Roman absolutely disagreed with the concept of each other, completely disregarding the one made for them.
Although Alpha Roman didn't wish to have a mate, he also wouldn't go out of his way to make someone miserable by doing something like this.
However, he wasn't the Alpha of Blue Stone and what they do within their pack was none of his business.
"It doesn't sound too favourable to me Alpha Clark. The alliance will revive blue stone, but what do I get in return? The elemental may or may not be useful to me in the future."
Alpha Roman stated, "What else can you give me?"
Alpha Roman didn't want the Elemental's ‘help’.He doubted that the blue stone even knew about the truth of the prophecy.
What he wanted the most was to have the elemental under his wing and face the calamity that was written upon them by the prophecy.
"What else do you want Alpha Roman? We can give you whatever you want." Alpha Clark's smile faltered.
The atmosphere started to feel a bit suffocating.
Alpha Roman smirked as he put forth his demand, "I want the Elemental."
