EPISODE 15
THEME: Rescuing Mia
(Alpha King Sky’s Point Of View)
I appeared in a dark tunnel and my active wolf eyes glowed for me to see clearly. I started the walk without making any footstep sound and soon I came out of the tunnel only to hear voices.
“Where are you going Santos?” A masculine voice said
“The master asks us to bring the alpha king’s mate to his chambers.” Another voice replied.
‘The master? And the alpha king’s mate?! Oh my goddess! Mia! The enemy wants our mate in his chambers!’ My wolf urged me to let it out just to rip of their heads but I kept the wolf at bay.
I hid myself back in the tunnel when the wolf named Santos almost saw my figure. I remembered that Gamma Albert had said that I shouldn’t talk to anyone so the substance for hiding my scent won’t fade off. I knew just one thing, I have to do something to stop them from taking my mate to the enemy’s chambers.NôvelDrama.Org content.
“Stay here on guard while I bring her out.” I heard Santo voice again.
Whoever the master is must be the royal blood Gamma Albert mentioned to me. Santos went another way while the other wolf stayed back.
‘Time to attack!’ My wolf groaned. So I made a hit on the wall to attract the warrior’s attention.
“Who is out there?” He asked.
Then I sensed footsteps approaching the tunnel so I appeared in front of the warrior and his eyes widened in shock when he saw me.
“Alpha king Sky!” He gasped.
I could see a glint of fear in his eyes and it wasn’t hard to tell that my alpha scent was too strong for the substance the gamma poured on me. So I decided to break the rule Gamma Albert told me. I dragged the warrior deeper into the tunnel, putting out the light he held with my boot.
“Who is the master?!” I whispered in a harsh tone, pinning the warrior hard against the walls of the tunnel. I couldn’t play dumb even though the gamma said I shouldn’t talk to anyone.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” The warrior replied.
He wouldn’t confess just like the other spies because they must have taken an oath to never reveal the secret. I thought. Then I resorted in using my powers, I tilted the warrior’s face to look straight into my eyes. I hit him in the stomach when he tried to avoid the contact. The warrior knew what I was trying to do.
“Look at me!” I said in a commanding tone and he obeyed me. “I am your alpha king.” I gritted and could feel my eyes glowing crimson. “Let your loyalty be with me.” I compelled the warrior.
To be honest, I have never used compulsion on any wolf because my alpha presence had always been useful but not with rogues or spies and that’s because they always pledged allegiance to their master. This is just an ordinary wolf.
“Who is the master?! And what is his mission?!” I growled.
And several minutes later, I got all the information I needed from the warrior. I felt a bit weak after hearing the whole truth from him. At the mention of the enemy’s name on the warrior’s lips I felt betrayed. But at that point, I knew I had to be strong to save my mate. Mia was right! She said the enemy was someone close and indeed he was someone dear to me!
“Where is my mate?” I questioned the warrior.
“She is in the dungeon.” The warrior replied weakly.
“Dungeon?” I repeated.
Then the warrior nodded. “Follow the path Santos went…” And all of a sudden the warrior started coughing out blood and before he could finish his words he slumped to the ground.
The warrior must have died because he spilled the truth when he had taken a oath to never say a word about the enemy. So I dragged the warrior’s body out of the tunnel. I followed the path Santos went and soon held a loud scream in the air.
Mia ! What’s that bastard doing to her?! I thought deeply. I raced fast by following her scent which led me to a dark area but I could only see a dim light ahead. Mia’s screams filled the air again and I rushed into the dungeon without minding what could be in it. All I wanted was to see and save my mate.
I met Santos trying to force himself on Mia while she struggled to stop him. “Please… don’t do this!” She begged him but he didn’t listen. Santos continued to pull at her skirt as he pinned her to the ground.
My wolf became furious, in a swift movement I grabbed Santo and threw him off against the wall nearby. When Santos regained his strength, he gasped in shock when his eyes met mine.
“Al.. pha.. king?” He said unsteadily.
“I will kill you!” A growl reverberated from my throat as I went to Santos again and lunched several punches on him before ripping off his head from his body.
Mia screamed when she saw the bloody scene. I went to her but she kept screaming and moving backwards until she was against the wall, shivering before falling to the ground.
“No.. no.. no…” she sobbed.
I moved closer to my mate. “Mia.” She avoided me when I tried to touch her even without looking into my eyes.
“Please don’t touch me… don’t kill me.. I didn’t do anything wrong.” She sobbed with her palms on her face. Mia was looking tattered and dirty.
“Mia.. it is Sky.. alpha king Sky.. your mate.. I am here for you.” I said in a calm tone.
When Mia looked up at the me, my heart broke into pieces at the sight of her face. One of her eyes was bloodshot and I could see dried blood drops from her nostrils and she had other bruises on her face and body. She wasn’t the beautiful Mia whom I had met few days ago.
Mia stood up slowly and went to shut the gate. “No.. no.. it can’t be.. you are not the alpha king.” she whispered to herself as she held on to the gate. “You are not the alpha king… this must be another hallucination!” She cried out loud. “The alpha king would never come to get me out of here…” She nodded to no one in particular. “He hates me.. he doesn’t want me because of my father’s deeds.. so stop hallucinating Mia.. he doesn’t want you!” She kept chanting. “He hates me.” She blabbed continuously as if she was insane.
Mia didn’t believe that I am right here to save her. Mia thought she was seeing things again. So I went to her again but stopped few steps away from where she stood. “‘Mia.. look at me..” I said but she didn’t look at me. “I am here for you. I am right here to save you.”
Mia placed her palms at the sides of her ears. “Disappear and stop tormenting me! No! I can’t take this anymore…!” She cried and moved to the wall.
And once again my eyes did a slow crawl on her small frame, she had wounds on her legs and it reflected in her steps. I didn’t want to touch her so she won’t be more frightened by my sudden presence.
“Look at me.. Mia!” I yelled then she made a quick turn to look at me and this time with a shocking look on her face.
I tried to calm down. “Mia… it is Sky.” I mumbled.
“Are you really here?” She whispered.
Then I went to her. “Yes, Mia. I am here to get you.” I answered.
Mia moved slowly to my side and touched my hand to confirm if she wasn’t really hallucinating my presence again. “You are here… but you shouldn’t see me like this…” She turned away, feeling very ashamed of her appearance.
“You shouldn’t see me like this.. I am in such a mess..” Mia limped away from me with evident of pains in her eyes.
Tears clouded my vision as I pulled her into my arms gently. It is all my fault. I should have accepted her and make her stay in my kingdom. I shouldn’t have tried to push her away for her father’s deed. “I am sorry… please forgive for letting this to happen to you. It is all my fault… I am sorry.” I whispered and then Mia cried out in my arms.
“I swear.. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I had no idea about these things.”
As if Mia had let down the boundary she had built around our connection my wolf whimpered while she was in my arms. And I started to feel her pains through our uncompleted bond and I also felt my wolf connecting with hers again.
I didn’t stop apologizing to my mate for not showing up on time to save her. I begged her to forgive me for not accepting her when we first met and for hating her for her father’s deeds.
Mia pulled away from the embrace. “My.. alpha.. king, you don’t need.. to apologize.” She said unsteadily.
“I am sorry.” I apologized again. I feel terribly seeing the bruises and wounds on her face.
“How did you find me?” Mia pulled a bit away from me but slowly and gently.
“I will tell you everything when we get back to your pack.” I responded.
I grabbed her hand and would have lead her out of the cell. “I can’t leave now.” She stopped me.
My eyebrows drew together in confusion. “Why?”
Mia showed me a lock on her wrist. “It is stopping my powers…” She said.
“Who is with the keys?” I demanded.
Mia pointed to Santos without looking at the bloody body. I went to the body and searched his pocket, then I found a bunch of keys on the deceased body.
“The smallest one…” She muttered.
I took out the smallest key and unlocked the lock. “Thank…” Her voice trailed off when we heard voices. “They are here. He is here.” She panicked.
“Don’t worry.. I will take you out of here save and alive.” I promised.
