“Alpha Kilian is our father. According to the DNA results,” Tony growled, his voice laced with a hint of authority.
Donna’s eyes widened in disbelief as she processed Tony’s statement. She made a move towards the door, but before she could escape, she heard Tony’s response.
Her gaze locked with Tony’s, searching for the truth. “Tony, is what you said true?” she asked, her voice wavering on the edge of hope and uncertainty.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Tony remained silent, his silence speaking volumes.
Ben turned to Donna, his eyes filled with skepticism. “Do you think he’ll joke with us about this?” he questioned, his voice cautious.
Donna was at a loss for words, her mind spinning with the implications of Tony’s revelation. Slowly, a smile played at the corners of her lips as she pieced together the truth. “This means Mr. Handsome is our daddy, right?” she exclaimed, happiness evident in her tone.
Her words hung in the air, making Tony and Ben pause, dumbfounded by her sudden acceptance.
Unable to bear their smugness any longer, Tony finally spoke up. “Alright, that’s enough. Let’s go to the hospital,” he declared, his voice firm.
Just as they prepared to leave, Tony’s phone beeped loudly, interrupting their plans. Frowning, he retrieved his phone and saw a message from Thalia.
Tony’s expression darkened, a sense of foreboding washing over him. “What’s wrong?” Ben asked, concern evident in his voice.
“I can’t join you two at the hospital. Thalia has arrived. She’s the witness to Nelly’s accident. I need to get to the bottom of this,” Tony replied, his tone filled with determination.
Ben’s brows furrowed in worry. “Do you need me to come with you?” he offered.
Tony considered for a moment before shaking his head. “It’s okay. I can go on my own. You should visit Nelly with Donna and Gramps,” he decided.
“But won’t you be exposed?” Ben pressed, concern etched on his features.
A flicker of uncertainty passed through Tony’s eyes, but he quickly pushed it aside. “Sooner or later, I will be exposed anyway,” he admitted, his voice tinged with resignation.
With a nod of understanding, Ben conceded. “Okay. Call me immediately if anything crops up,” he instructed before Tony left to change his clothes.
Donna couldn’t help but worry as she watched him go. “Will Tony be fine?” she questioned, her voice filled with concern.
“Relax. I think the other party would have never thought Tony would be a child. If he’s in danger, he can escape anytime,” Ben reassured her, his voice calm.
Donna nodded, finding comfort in his words.
Meanwhile, Tony finished changing and left the house, determined to seek justice for Nelly.
Left alone, Donna and Ben sought out Alpha Wade, their anxiety palpable. They found him on the verge of sleep, but after hearing their news, he shot up in shock. Alpha Wade’s legs felt weak beneath him, but he managed to steady himself upon learning that Nelly was in stable condition. Together, they made their way to the hospital.
As they hurried through the quiet hospital, Alpha Wade’s anxiety was palpable. Ben tried his best to comfort his grandfather, assuring him that Nelly was safe. But the worry still lingered in Alpha Wade’s eyes, a testament to his love for his daughter.
Donna and Ben shared a wordless glance, understanding the weight of the situation.
In no time, they arrived at the hospital, finding it eerily quiet in the late hours. Upon entering, Alpha Wade’s panic seemed to intensify, causing him to dash aimlessly through the halls.
And then, Alpha Kilian appeared before them.
“Old Mr. Jackson,” he greeted, his voice carrying a sense of authority.
Alpha Wade was taken aback by his sudden presence. Suspicion clouded his gaze as he confronted Alpha Kilian. “Why are you here?” he demanded, his tone brimming with mistrust.
“I am waiting for all of you,” Alpha Kilian responded cryptically, his expression unreadable.
Before Alpha Wade could respond, his attention was drawn towards Alpha Kilian’s presence, causing him to shield Donna and Ben protectively. He was starting to fear that their true identity had been exposed.
But Alpha Kilian seemed unfazed, his stoic facade remaining intact. “You don’t have to hide them from me. We’ve talked on the phone before,” he calmly revealed.
Alpha Wade’s disbelief was evident, yet he turned to Donna and Ben, silently asking for confirmation. Their nods confirmed Alpha Kilian’s words, leaving Alpha Wade at a loss for what to say.
The situation had unfolded so quickly, he struggled to process it all. But as a leader, he knew he had to maintain composure. Turning towards Alpha Kilian, he firmly stated, “They are the children of the Jackson family, and they had nothing to do with you.”
Alpha Kilian stood there, his expression neither arrogant nor humble, leaving his true intentions shrouded in mystery. He glanced briefly at Donna and Ben, his gaze carrying a mix of emotions that he tried to suppress.
But deep down, he longed to embrace them, to finally have them in his life. For now, though, he averted his gaze and urged Alpha Wade to follow him to Nelly’s ward.
As they entered the room, Alpha Wade’s heart ached at the sight of Nelly lying in the hospital bed, her body covered in bandages. Concern etched into every line on his face, he was unable to contain his distress. “Nelly! What happened to you? Why are you so badly injured?”
Alpha Kilian stood by his side, providing an update on Nelly’s condition. “She just came out of surgery and is still under anesthesia. The doctor said her wounds are minor, and she’ll recover with time. She has some fractures, but they are manageable. She needs some rest, and she’ll be fine.”
Alpha Wade listened intently, a mix of relief and worry flooding his features. Turning to Alpha Kilian, he demanded answers. “What happened to her?”
Unable to provide a detailed explanation at that moment, Alpha Kilian chose his words carefully. “She had an accident,” he revealed, knowing it was not the whole truth.
Alpha Wade’s shock was apparent, but he resigned himself to the fact that accidents happen. Yet, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of despair at his inability to fully protect his family. “Nelly is the only family I have left. I have tried my best to keep her safe, but it seems like I’m constantly failing. It’s as if the universe is against us,” he lamented, a heavy sadness weighing on his voice.
Alpha Kilian stood silently by his side, unsure of what to say. The truth was, there was more to Nelly’s accident than met the eye. But for now, he remained silent, understanding that there would come a time for answers.
