Dan turned to look at Alpha Kilian, his usually calm and controlled gaze seemed rather flustered.

The next day, photographs of Desmond kneeling in the yard of the Morris residence and then lying on the ground in a puddle of blood were seen on every news website.

“Nelly, Nelly!” At this point, Donna had pushed open the door and leaped into her bed. When Nelly heard the voice, she pulled the blanket over her head and continued to sleep.
