Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

As his gaze wandered to the moonlit skies, his face contorted with tension and his eyes glimmered eerily in the shadows, concealing the true nature of his emotions.

Fabian, filled with trepidation, dared not utter a single word, aware of the Alpha’s unpredictable state.

Alpha Kilian, who seldom indulged in smoking, finished his last puff before extinguishing the cigarette, his mind in disarray.

“Fabian,” he spoke, his voice laced with authority.

“Alpha Morris,” Fabian responded, his eyes locked with the Alpha’s.

“Terminate Lara’s employment and ensure she never sets foot in Morris Corporation again!”

Fabian was taken aback, shocked by the Alpha’s demand. “Does this matter involve Ms. Gareth?” he inquired.

Alpha Kilian’s lips pursed in silence, his gaze turning ice-cold.

His silence spoke volumes, confirming Fabian’s suspicions.

“So it does. Is there any evidence?” Fabian pressed for further information.

Alpha Kilian glanced outside the window and spoke with a hint of menace, “If there is, it won’t be as simple as a mere dismissal!”

Fabian refrained from saying more, knowing that Lara had finally crossed the Alpha’s threshold.

After years of loyal service, Fabian had grown intimately familiar with Alpha Kilian’s character. He was a leader who prioritized loyalty and though formidable at times, he was an employer worth following, never mistreating his subordinates.

The same held true for Lara. She had always understood this side of the Alpha and had acted within the boundaries he had tacitly established. Over the years, Alpha Kilian had turned a blind eye to her transgressions.

But now, she had pushed him too far.

“Let’s return to the hospital,” Alpha Kilian spoke, his voice commanding as Fabian started the car and drove towards their destination.

During the journey, Fabian stole occasional glances at the dignified and imposing Alpha Kilian through the rearview mirror.

He knew that the reason Alpha Kilian had tolerated Lara’s behavior for so long was because of an undisclosed incident.

After pondering for a moment, Fabian finally spoke, “Alpha Morris…”

Before Fabian could utter another word, Alpha Kilian’s phone rang, causing him to smile when he saw Donna’s name on the screen.

Donna: Mr. Handsome, what are you doing?

Alpha Kilian swiftly typed a response: I’m missing you, Donna!

He then looked up and glanced at Fabian, curious about what he had intended to say. “What were you about to say?” he asked.

Fabian hastily shook his head, his earlier thought forgotten. “N-Nothing, Alpha Morris.”

Alpha Kilian, engrossed in his phone, received a voice message.

“Mr. Handsome!” Donna’s voice echoed from the device.

“Why aren’t you asleep yet?”

“Just got back from the hospital with Great-grandpa.”

“And your Great-grandpa returned as well?” Alpha Kilian caught on, sensing a deeper meaning.

“Yeah, Mommy insisted he come with us. Otherwise, Gramps would have had to stay and take care of Mommy!” Donna’s soft voice seemed muffled, as if spoken through a blanket.

Alpha Kilian smiled at the revelation.

“Mr. Handsome, is Mommy out of danger now?” Donna sounded genuinely concerned.

“Mm, she is. Don’t worry. As long as I’m here, your Mommy will be safe!”

Donna beamed. “I trust you, Mr. Handsome!”

As Alpha Kilian listened to her affectionate nickname, a bittersweet sensation stirred within him.

“Mr. Handsome, how’s your injury? It looked severe.” Donna’s voice turned slightly gloomy.

“It’s nothing serious, just a graze.”

“It looked really bad. Mr. Handsome, you’re lying.”

Alpha Kilian teased her, “Are you worried about me?”

After a brief pause, Donna’s voice, now muffled, broke through, “Yes… I’m worried. So worried.”

His heart aching at the sound of her concern, Alpha Kilian furrowed his brows and asked, “Donna… are you crying?”

“Mr. Handsome, you promised to protect me forever. Don’t let anything happen to you!” Donna sniffled.

Her words tugged at Alpha Kilian’s heart, but the thought of her crying only intensified his pain.

“I promise, nothing will happen to me. I will protect you forever, alright?” he reassured her.

“You must keep your promise. No lies!”

“I will never lie to you,” Alpha Kilian vowed.

Donna brightened, her worries momentarily alleviated.

Unhurriedly, Alpha Kilian continued conversing with Donna on the phone, while Fabian watched, unnerved by the Alpha’s uncharacteristically tender demeanor reflected in the rearview mirror.

Goosebumps crept across Fabian’s skin involuntarily, perturbed by the unusual scene before him. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

Their conversation stretched on, and only when Donna seemed to have dozed off did Alpha Kilian finally hang up.

Fabian seized the opportunity to question, “Alpha Morris, why is she still addressing you as Mr. Handsome if you haven’t reunited with ‘Little Marshmallow’?”

The mention of Nelly caused Alpha Kilian to pause, aware that the children were likely aware of their true identities but remained silent to protect Nelly.

“We’ll take things slow. There’s no need to rush,” he replied, though his impatience simmered beneath the surface.

At the sound of Donna’s youthful voice calling him Mr. Handsome, his longing to reveal the truth intensified, yet he prioritized respecting their boundaries to avoid causing them distress.

While Alpha Kilian drifted into deep contemplation, Fabian playfully probed, “Is Ms. Jackson hindering you?”

Alpha Kilian shot him a menacing look, sending a shiver down Fabian’s spine. The atmosphere in the car grew tense with his gaze.

Adjusting the rearview mirror in haste, Fabian shifted his focus away from Alpha Kilian, fearful of the Alpha’s intimidating presence. “Alpha Morris, I’m driving! It’s dangerous!” The intensity of Alpha Kilian’s eyes distracted him from the road.

A sinister grin curled Alpha Kilian’s lips. “If you’re unhappy, you can tender your resignation tomorrow!”

Overwhelmed with helplessness, Fabian apologized, “Sorry, Alpha Morris, that’s not what I meant. What I meant was, Ms. Jackson must be captivated by you. She won’t allow you to reunite with the children because she’s still furious with you.”

Alpha Kilian fell silent before raising his gaze. “What do you mean?” he inquired, his tone veiled with interest.

“Children? Of all the friends I have, the women will unhesitatingly go for an abortion after divorcing their husbands. Not only does it provide closure, but it will also be easier for

them to start a new relationship. Ms. Jackson, however, didn’t do that. I can tell that she’s capable of critical thinking. Since she’s a smart and beautiful woman, I can’t think of any other reasons for her actions!” Fabian explained, his voice laced with an eerie calmness that sent shivers down the spines of those listening.

Fabian sincerely believed his opinion was a good one. I’m pretty sure that’s it. Unlike me, Alpha Morris just hasn’t realized it yet. I’m so smart, I can see through these mindless choices!

Alpha Kilian, his eyes narrowing with suspicion, furrowed his brows upon hearing Fabian’s words. He wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. Nelly had told him she had already gone through with the abortion, and he had believed her. But it seems he hadn’t truly pondered the consequences of his happiness blindly returning. What Fabian said made a twisted sort of sense.

For some reason, an unsettling smile found its way onto Alpha Kilian’s lips.

The furrow in Alpha Kilian’s brows relaxed. He looked at Fabian, his eyes gleaming with a newfound determination. “Drive faster,” he commanded.

Alpha Kilian was eager to see Nelly, to unravel the mysteries that surrounded her actions.

Fabian quietly breathed a sigh of relief when he sensed that the dark cloud in the car had lightened up, even if only slightly. A close call indeed.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the hospital, a place shrouded in moonlit shadows and the stench of blood.

“You can head back first.” With those words, Alpha Kilian opened the car door, his gaze fixated on the hospital entrance.

When Fabian saw that, he opened his mouth and hesitated, “Alpha Morris…”

Alpha Kilian turned around, his eyes piercing into Fabian’s soul, silently demanding an explanation.

After a brief hesitation, Fabian mustered a smile. “Alpha Morris, women get embarrassed easily, you know what I mean, right?”

Indeed. But Nelly isn’t an ordinary woman. Hence, Nelly shouldn’t be considered as one of them! Alpha Kilian glanced at Fabian silently before closing the car door and determinedly striding into the hospital.

Um… Alpha Morris knows what I meant, right? Yes. I think he does! Fabian nodded to himself, his mind racing with thoughts as he watched Alpha Kilian disappear into the hospital. I said nothing tonight!

In the hospital, the corridors were empty, and the quietness was suffocating.

When Alpha Kilian arrived outside Nelly’s ward, which was two doors away from his, he saw that the lights were switched off inside. Is she asleep?

Upon deliberation, Alpha Kilian softly pushed the door open and stepped inside, his heart pounding in anticipation.

The ward was engulfed in complete darkness, wrapping itself around him like a living entity.

He spotted the silhouette of the bed in the darkness and cautiously made his way toward it, his senses on high alert.

“Who is it?” Suddenly, a voice, laced with a hint of danger, rang out from behind. The person lunged at him, but Alpha Kilian, quick and agile, managed to dodge the attack, his werewolf reflexes taking over. Without a moment’s hesitation, he grabbed her wrist, forcefully pinning her against the wall.

“Calm down. It’s me!” Alpha Kilian’s deep voice filled the darkness, an unsettling mix of authority and anticipation.

In the dim light filtering through the windows, Nelly, her eyes narrowed with skepticism and pain, frowned at him.

While maintaining his hold on her, Alpha Kilian smiled, an unsettling glint in his eyes, and asked, “What? Did you stay up in the middle of the night just to launch a sneak attack?”

Nelly furrowed her brows again, this time not just from pain but from the confusion that clouded her mind. Instead of crying out in pain, she stared fiercely at him and questioned, “What about you, Alpha Morris? Did you stay up just to sneak into someone else’s room?”

Someone else’s room? Alpha Kilian grinned, a glimmer of madness dancing in his eyes. “I didn’t just sneak into a random person’s room!”

His deep voice hung heavy in the air, sending an unsettling chill down Nelly’s spine.

Nelly didn’t say a word in response. Instead, she continued to stare at him, her eyes brimming with defiance.

Alpha Kilian stared back, his gaze burning with intensity.

In the tension-filled silence, the heavy atmosphere made it hard to breathe, both of them trapped in a moment of profound desire.

Alpha Kilian, unable to resist any longer, leaned closer, his voice hoarse, and questioned, “Nelly, why did you decide to give birth to the three of them?”

Nelly was taken aback by his question, her eyes widening in surprise. She blinked, momentarily caught off guard, before answering, “There’s no particular reason for that.”

“You hated me to the bone back then, didn’t you?” Alpha Kilian inched even closer, his tall and sturdy figure enveloping her. “I know you despised me. I can feel it in your every gaze, your every touch. You should’ve just gone through with the abortion to sever our ties, but that’s not what you did. This is very unlike you.”

Nelly, understanding the implications behind his words, arched an eyebrow. “What exactly do you want to ask?”

Alpha Kilian’s grip tightened ever so slightly, but his eyes softened with unspoken emotions. He stared into her eyes, searching for answers as he whispered, “Are you…”

Before he could finish his query, a cold, piercing look flashed across Nelly’s face, stopping Alpha Kilian dead in his tracks.

“You think the reason I kept the children is that I have feelings for you, do you?” Nelly asked, her voice dripping with icy disdain.

Alpha Kilian remained silent, his eyes locked with hers, a mix of regret and longing pulsing through him. If that’s the reason, I won’t hesitate to kiss her and reveal the truth burning inside me!

Nelly chuckled, a bitter sound, devoid of mirth. “So you, too, think that I kept the children so that I can join the Morris family in the future?”

“That’s not what I meant…”

“Alpha Kilian, I left you because of the kids! Since I don’t have any relatives, the kids are precious to me. I won’t let them suffer because of my mistakes. I don’t mind losing the marriage, but I must be responsible for them!” Nelly locked her gaze with his, her words cutting through the tension in the room.

Alpha Kilian’s frown deepened. Though her words didn’t answer his initial question, they gave him a glimpse of the depth of her commitment.

“Nelly-”

“If these three kids are troubling you, then I offer you my apologies. I promise you that no matter who you choose to be with in the future, the kids and I will not burden you. From now on, I’ll take full responsibility for them, and you’ll be completely out of the picture!”

Her words struck a chord within him, setting off a storm of conflicting emotions.

Suddenly, anger surged within Alpha Kilian, his fists clenched tightly. “Nelly, do you even understand what I was trying to say? I’m not blaming you. As for the three kids, I feel nothing but gratitude. I’m grateful that you brought them into this world, and I’m grateful that you gave me the chance to be their father. I’m just incredibly happy that I have a chance to make things right. I’m happy that we now have an unbreakable bond between us.” The intensity in his voice matched the fire in his eyes as he poured out his heart.
